Chapter 292 Ten Million Dollars for These Photos
Abel laughed even louder. "Want the photos? Sure, give me ten million dollars, and I'll return them to you untouched."
David's temple veins throbbed with anger. "Don't push your luck!"
Forget ten million dollars, he couldn't even come up with a million right now!
All his assets were frozen, and if it weren't for this heart attack, he'd still be in jail. Where would he get the money?
At this moment, Abigail's slightly hoarse voice came to his ear, "Agree to it."
Even if it meant losing everything she owned, she was determined to retrieve those photographs.
Everyone present was stunned, and David was in disbelief. "Are you crazy? That's ten million dollars! Besides, those photos don't even..."
"What did you say?" Abigail, lost in her emotions, didn't catch David's last words.
Meeting Abigail's clear yet angry eyes, David shrank back.
He stammered, "Those photos are explicit, but they don't show anything too revealing."
He was convinced Michelle was betraying him solely based on what Kayla had told him.
Plus, the photos did show Michelle being hugged by a man as they entered a hotel, so he believed it.
After learning about this, David specifically did a paternity test. He was always a meticulous person and wouldn't wrongfully accuse Michelle without proof.
Before the results came out, he still held a glimmer of hope.
But reality dealt him a heavy blow—Abigail was indeed not his biological daughter, but an illegitimate child from who knows where.
No man with any dignity could tolerate his wife betraying him.
Moreover, he was someone who cared deeply about his reputation.
But he knew better than anyone that he couldn't get a divorce!
If he divorced Michelle, everything he had would be ruined.
Because, no matter how much he didn't want to admit it, Michelle was more capable than he was.
So, he lived with the humiliation for over a decade until Michelle passed away, and he finally turned things around.
Abigail took a deep breath, gritted her teeth, and grabbed the phone, saying to Abel on the other end, "Ten million dollars it is. I'll give it to you. You better keep your word, or you should know how powerful the White family is in Aramore."
As she spoke, she signaled to Leo.
Leo, catching the hint, quickly opened his phone and started operating it at lightning speed.
His phone was specially modified, equivalent to a small computer. As a top hacker, modifying a phone was within his skill set.
However, a phone could never match a computer in speed, especially for IP tracking.
Abigail had to keep stalling and asked Abel, "Didn't David save your mother's life? Why are you doing this to him?"
Abel suddenly laughed, a laugh full of sarcasm. "Save? David is a complete bastard! The money he promised never arrived!"
David was shocked. "How is that possible! I clearly instructed my secretary to transfer the money to you!"
Abel had long seen through the malice of these capitalists and mocked, "I never received it. Do you know how excited I was when I heard you were going to save my mother?"
But he waited for days, and the money never came.
In the end, Abel's mother died in the hospital because she didn't receive timely treatment.
This was the pain of his life, so he hated David.
He hadn't found a chance to take revenge before, but unexpectedly, after so many years, David contacted him first.
For Abel, this was a rare opportunity! How could he let it slip?
Stealing the photos was just the first step. Next, he would release them, letting everyone know that David was betrayed by Michelle.
Wasn't David most concerned about his reputation?
Then Abel would personally destroy it all, avenging his mother!
