Chapter 71 Husband

Abigail instinctively stepped back, dodging Robert's hand.

She frowned and said, "As long as I don't agree, it's not happening. Go tell Kayla I'll get back at her for this."

Robert tried to move forward again, but Tricia shoved him hard, making him fall.

He was so focused on Abigail that he ignored Tricia.

This gave Tricia her chance.

With a quick move, she threw Robert to the ground, leaving him gasping in pain.

Robert's anger flared. He got up and raised his hand to slap her. "You're lucky I'm proposing. Marry me now!"

Everyone held their breath as the slap was about to land.

Abigail closed her eyes, bracing for it.

But before it could hit, a hand caught it.

The sound of bones dislocating followed, along with Robert's scream, "My hand!"

Abigail didn't expect Gregory to show up just in time.

She smiled and hugged him. "Honey, you finally came. If you were any later, I'd have been bullied!"

Gregory's back stiffened slightly. It was his first time hearing her call him "honey".

Her sweet voice made his heart melt.

His expression quickly returned to normal.

He threw Robert aside and, still unsatisfied, kicked him hard, knocking him down. 'Dare to mess with my wife? No way!'

He looked at Abigail, his eyes full of concern. "Are you hurt?"

"No, he didn't touch me," Abigail replied.

Gregory nodded, holding her tighter.

But someone interrupted.

Robert got up, ready to curse, but froze when he saw who it was.

"Mr. White? Is that you?"

Gregory frowned. "And you are?"

"Hello, Mr. White. I'm Robert. You probably don't remember me. I used to be a project manager at Jewel Summit Group and met you once."

Robert smiled, trying to be friendly.

He thought, maybe this could be his lucky break, meeting the president of the White Group.

Gregory frowned, seeing through Robert's intentions. "Who allowed you to bully my wife?"

Robert was stunned, then noticed Gregory holding Abigail. Panic set in. "Mr. White, I didn't know she was your wife. I didn't mean it. Please forgive me. I was wrong!"

Abigail stepped in before Gregory could speak. "Now, can you tell me who sent you?"

Robert quickly nodded. "I'll tell you everything! A woman named Smith found me this morning, gave me a photo of Mrs. White, and told me to marry her and then cheat her out of her inheritance."

Abigail's face darkened as she sneered. So they were after the inheritance. Greedy.

That was Michelle's hard-earned money. Benefiting from her before was one thing, but scheming for her inheritance now?

Gregory noticed Abigail's mood drop and comforted her, "As long as I'm here, no one will bully you."

Abigail felt warm inside and smiled at Gregory. "Thank you, Mr. White. I'm fine."

But she knew this couldn't be let go easily.

Robert, head hung low, was flustered, fearing Gregory's retaliation.

Gregory's cold gaze swept over him. "Get lost."

"Okay, I'll leave right away!" Robert bolted.

Gregory's presence was so strong, it made the air feel frozen and quiet. Curious onlookers averted their gaze.

Tricia, recovering, excitedly said, "Abigail, your husband is so handsome! You're so lucky!"

Abigail looked up and met Gregory's smiling eyes.

"Thanks, but I think being Abigail's husband is my luck."

Abigail shyly pulled away from Gregory's arms.

Just then, a voice filled with amusement came from behind, "What a lively scene. Why is everyone here?"

Abigail turned to see two men at the door, both strikingly handsome.

One wore a finely tailored white suit, his hair slightly curled and styled, looking fresh and sunny. He had a casual smile and captivating eyes.

The other wore a black pinstripe suit, meticulously groomed, with gold-rimmed glasses. He had a refined yet slightly aloof demeanor, with a hint of gloom in his eyes.

Despite their different styles, they stood together seamlessly.

Abigail was used to Gregory's looks and remained calm. She had already seen the most handsome one. Though these two were attractive, she still preferred Gregory.

Gregory's looks and personality perfectly matched her taste.

But Tricia wasn't as calm. She excitedly grabbed Abigail's arm and whispered, "Abigail, are these really the handsome guys I get to see? And not just one, but two, no, three."

The three of them together were a beautiful sight.

Abigail looked at her helplessly. "Is it that exaggerated?"

"Of course it is. But why does the one in white look familiar? Like I've seen him before?"
