Chapter 478 A Passionate and Tender Kiss

Shocked by her own guess, Abigail didn't notice how intensely she was gazing at Maeve. Maeve, however, felt it.

She shyly bit her lip, her cheeks flushing uncontrollably, and nervously asked, "What's wrong? Is there something on my face?"

Abigail snapped out of it, realizing her lapse, and quickly apologized, "No, no, I just suddenly thought that you are quite good-looking."

This made Maeve's cheeks even redder.

She waved her hands repeatedly, looking flattered. "No, no, I can't compare to you. You're the truly beautiful one, the most beautiful girl I've ever seen."

No girl dislikes being complimented. Abigail smiled and said thank you. After ordering, she quickly handed the menu back to Maeve.

After Maeve left, Abigail nudged Gregory with her elbow and asked in a low voice, "Don't you think it's strange?"

"What?" Gregory was puzzled.

Abigail's lips curled into a mysterious smile. "Of course, it's about Quinn. Don't you think he's a bit overly concerned about Maeve?"

Helping her out of tight spots, introducing her to jobs, even trusting her to manage the private villa in Aramore—if it were anyone else, it might seem normal. But with Quinn, it's different. Usually, he's as cold as ice, even to his close friends Gregory and Henry, yet with Maeve, there's a warmth.

Hearing this, Gregory also sensed something was off. "Now that you mention it, it does seem possible. When Quinn comes, we'll test him a bit."

Abigail nodded with a smile. "Speaking of which, I can't imagine what Quinn would be like if he fell in love."

After dinner, Abigail suggested, "How about we take a walk outside? I don't want to go back so soon."

Gregory asked, "Sure, where do you want to go?"

"Let's just walk along the street. There's a niche perfume shop over there; let's check it out," as Abigail spoke, she took Gregory's hand and headed to the nearby perfume shop.

As soon as they entered, they were greeted by a strong fragrance.

Abigail led Gregory around the shop and finally chose a bottle of perfume with a neroli base note. It was a light scent, and Abigail liked it immediately after one sniff.

She also picked a bottle of mossy, fresh scent for Gregory, which was elegant and matched his temperament well.

After choosing the perfumes, Gregory quickly took Abigail out.

The scent inside was very strong, and even if it was all-natural, it still required chemical additives, which could be harmful if inhaled for too long.

After coming out, they continued walking along the street and entered a jewelry store, where they picked out a pair of matching bracelets.

Abigail raised their tightly clasped hands and snapped a photo. The larger hand enveloped the smaller one, their fingers interlocked, exuding an indescribable harmony and beauty.

Gregory's deep eyes lowered, filled with a smile.

Arriving home past ten, Abigail, exhausted, threw her bag aside and collapsed onto the couch. Gregory followed, putting her bag away before fetching a basin of water.

Resting with her eyes closed, Abigail suddenly felt a warm, cool sensation on her ankle. Opening her eyes, she saw Gregory gently massaging it with his thumb.

Abigail felt so comfortable that her eyes almost closed again, her toes curling slightly in embarrassment. "I can do it myself."

But as she tried to pull away, she found herself held even tighter.

Gregory soaked her feet in the water and asked softly, "Is this temperature okay?"

Abigail nodded repeatedly. "Very comfortable."

"Good." Gregory smiled and reminded her, "The doctor said pregnant women need to take care of their bodies. Soaking your feet at night can promote blood circulation. I'll do this for you every day from now on."

Abigail's cheeks turned bright red, and she blinked shyly. "No need, I can do it myself. Don't you have a meeting tonight? You should go."

Gregory sat down beside her and pulled her into his arms. "No rush, it's not time yet."

As he spoke, his gaze lingered on Abigail's tender lips for a moment before he kissed her.

"You're at it again!" Abigail glared at Gregory playfully, her ears turning red.

Gregory chuckled, grabbing Abigail's slender wrist and raising it above her head, giving her no chance to resist.

Seeing that she couldn't break free, Abigail gave up struggling, feeling the man's passionate and lingering kisses on her lips, almost consuming her.
