Chapter 333 Abigail Woke Up

Quinn nodded, confirming Gregory's suspicion.

Gregory wanted to ask more, but Quinn cut him off directly. "This is a long story. I'll explain it in detail later. Let's talk about Abigail's situation now."

After revealing his identity, Quinn no longer hid his special concern for Abigail.

Although Gregory was unhappy, he silently endured it, thinking that Quinn might be Abigail's brother.

He exhaled slowly and said in a low voice, "Abigail is pregnant."

"What?" Quinn and Henry said in unison, their faces showing identical surprise.

Then, a wave of joy followed.

Henry patted Gregory on the shoulder with a smile. "Congratulations, Gregory. I didn't expect you and Abigail to have a child less than a year after getting married. It's a complete life."

Gregory couldn't help but smile, his previously stern face softening a bit.

Seeing the gentle smile on his lips, Henry silently covered his face and thought, 'Is this really the cold, unapproachable Gregory he knew?'

He had never seen Gregory so happy in his life.

Quinn, however, had a complex expression, his brows tightly furrowed, lost in thought.

At that moment, a sudden sound of shattering glass came from the room.

The group tensed up and rushed into the ward.

Inside, Abigail had woken up, her face pale and too weak to muster any strength.

Her throat was dry, and her lips were chapped. She wanted a drink of water and struggled to get up from the bed, reaching for the cup on the bedside table.

But before she could grab the cup, she accidentally knocked over the thermos next to it, causing the cup to shatter on the floor.

She couldn't help but cough a few times, and the next moment, she fell into a warm embrace.

"Abigail, are you okay?" Gregory looked at her worriedly, his eyes scanning her up and down. "Let me see, are you hurt anywhere?"

Abigail shook her head, her lips moving as she hoarsely said, "I wanted some water and accidentally broke the cup."

Gregory hugged her tightly, letting out a heavy sigh of relief. "I'll take care of it. As long as you're okay."

He had been so scared that something had happened to Abigail when he heard the sound of the cup breaking.

Seeing Gregory's tense, handsome face, Abigail chuckled softly, reaching out to touch his face, her fingers gently smoothing his furrowed brows.

"Alright, I'm really fine. I feel like I can get out of bed and walk around now. If you don't believe me, I'll show you." As she spoke, she tried to lift the blanket and get out of bed.

The veins on Gregory's forehead throbbed, and he quickly stopped her. "You still have injuries. Don't mess around. Lie down and rest."

With Gregory's help, Abigail lay back down.

Distracted by Gregory earlier, she hadn't noticed that there were others in the room.

Now, seeing Henry, Quinn, and Tricia, she couldn't help but show a hint of surprise. "Why are you all here? And Quinn, you're back too?"

Quinn looked at her with a complex expression, opening his mouth as if to say something, but ultimately swallowing his words and nodding at her. As silent as ever.

Abigail was already used to it and didn't notice anything unusual.

Gregory also secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

This was what they had agreed on before coming in, to temporarily not tell Abigail about her background and that Michelle was still alive.

Abigail had just been in a car accident and was still very weak, unable to handle any more shocks.

She cared so much about Michelle. If she knew Michelle was still alive, she would definitely rush to Aerilon to find her. But the Worthington Family in Aerilon was not easy to get into.

Judging by Caius's attitude, he didn't seem very willing to acknowledge Abigail as his daughter.

Until things were more certain, Gregory absolutely wouldn't let Abigail get hurt.

"By the way, what happened with your car accident? I heard someone tampered with your car?" Quinn asked with a stern face.

He remained expressionless, but his hand hidden in his suit pocket was tightly clenched into a fist.

His deep eyes flashed with a bloodthirsty gleam.

Whoever dared to harm his sister was courting death!

Abigail nodded and said, "We discovered the brake problem halfway through the drive. At that point, we had no other choice. If we kept going, we might have hit other cars, causing a more serious accident."

Pausing, she suddenly remembered something and quickly said, "I remember before the car fell into the river, there was a car following us. When our car was about to lose control, that car tried to ram us."

Thinking about the scene, Abigail couldn't help but feel scared.

Seeing Abigail's face turn even paler, Gregory felt a pang of pain in his heart and quickly pulled her into his arms. "It's okay, it's okay. You're safe now."

Feeling Gregory's warm embrace, a faint smile slowly appeared on Abigail's almost bloodless face. "I know. Gregory, I almost thought I'd never see you again," she said.

In that moment when the car fell into the river, she really thought she was going to die.

Her breath almost stopped. All she could think about was Gregory's face.

She thought she would never see him again, but fortunately, God had mercy on her and let her crawl out of hell.

Gregory noticed the slight trembling of the delicate body in his arms and felt even more heartache.

He tightened his arms around Abigail, gently rubbing his cheek against hers, and softly said, "No, I won't let you out of my sight so easily again."

After a long time, the emotions in Abigail's heart slowly calmed down, and she suddenly realized that there seemed to be others in the room.

Thinking about how she had just been acting spoiled in Gregory's arms, Abigail's face turned red.

She pushed Gregory, signaling him to let her go.

Gregory thought she was uncomfortable and quickly loosened his arms but didn't let her go completely.

He held Abigail's slender waist with one hand and gently tidied her messy hair with the other, his deep voice carrying a hint of extreme danger. "Whoever did this, I won't let them off easily."

Abigail nodded. She also wanted to know who was behind the car accident and what their motive was.

But she was too exhausted, and soon sleepiness washed over her again, and she dozed off in Gregory's arms.

Gregory gently laid her on the bed and covered her with the blanket.

He tried to withdraw his hand but suddenly found that the hand tightly gripping his was holding on very firmly, as if afraid he would leave.

Gregory felt another pang in his heart, lowered his head, and gently kissed Abigail's brow, coaxing, "Abigail, I'll just step out for a bit. I'll be back soon."

Perhaps the sleeping Abigail heard the familiar voice, subconsciously confirming that the surroundings were safe, and soon let go of his hand.

Gregory chuckled softly, gently stroking Abigail's hair. "Good girl, I'll be back soon."
