Chapter 43 No One Can Escape
The Principal couldn't help but burst into laughter after hearing Gregory's words.
"I never realized before that you have such a sense of humor. You have indeed met the person you love."
Gregory could hear the implication in his words and gave a faint smile, silently acknowledging it.
He shifted his gaze back to Abigail and asked with concern, "Abigail, what happened tonight? Why were you locked up here? Do you know who did it?"
Abigail looked at the Principal and truthfully answered, "I know, it was Allison. As for the reason, you'll have to ask her yourself."
In reality, she was well aware that Allison was trying to stand up for Jessica by locking her up.
But this matter could be big or small. If it were portrayed as a harmless student prank, the Principal would probably ignore it.
But she didn't want to leave it at that.
Gregory looked at the Principal with confusion, "Who is Allison?"
The Principal hadn't even recovered from his surprise when he received Gregory's icy and murderous gaze.
He never expected such a thing to happen on his turf, and a wave of anger surged in his heart.
"Why would Allison do this? Abigail, are you sure it was really her?"
Before Abigail could speak, Gregory interjected with a question, "Principal, do you think my wife would falsely accuse someone without reason? Why don't you bring her here and ask her directly?"
He couldn't imagine how much suffering Abigail would have endured if he hadn't shown up in time.
Just the thought of it made him want to tear the culprit to pieces.
The Principal forced a smile and explained, "Gregory, calm down for now. I promise to investigate this matter thoroughly and bring justice to Abigail."
Although he had taught Gregory, he couldn't control him. He also knew Gregory's temper.
He said that this matter wouldn't be over just like that, and he would definitely not let Allison get away with it.
All he could do was apologize to Abigail.
Abigail's face was still pale as she shook her head at the Principal. "Principal, I have evidence here that proves Allison is the one who locked me up, but my phone is dead."
The Principal immediately replied, "Wait here, I'll have someone bring a charger."
Saying that he directly made a phone call, asking someone to bring the charger from his office and emphasizing that it needed to be fast!
After hanging up the phone, the Principal tentatively asked, "Abigail, the most urgent thing now is to finish the performance. Can you go on stage in your current state?"
Gregory also worriedly looked at her. "Abigail, if you're not feeling well, you don't have to perform."
In his heart, nothing was more important than Abigail's well-being.
Abigail flashed him a reassuring smile. "I can, but my dress has been torn and needs to be repaired."
The Principal was stunned, and his expression changed accordingly.
He cursed Allison hundreds of times in his mind. He was almost furious.
He had originally thought that it was just a small conflict between students, but he didn't expect Allison to be so foolish.
The school's anniversary celebration had been in preparation for several months, and they had invited well-known figures from different walks of life to attend.
If Abigail embarrassed herself on stage, it wouldn't just be her humiliation. It would be the entire Aramore University.
If news of it spread, what would happen to their school's reputation?
The most worrying thing was that Abigail was Gregory's wife.
The White family's position in Aramore was almost unshakable, both in wealth and power. The school couldn't afford to provoke them.
If Gregory were really angry because of this incident, the school would really suffer.
He looked at Gregory and noticed that Gregory was also staring at him, his eyes indescribably sharp.
He was immediately frightened, his mind racing for a solution.
When he didn't know what to do, Abigail suddenly spoke up.
"Principal, you don't have to be so nervous. There are needles and thread in the fitting room drawer. I'll do some repairs."
As she spoke, she walked toward the direction of the table.
Opening the drawer, she did indeed find a sewing kit with various colored threads.
Abigail found a white thread, threaded it through the needle hole, and sewed up the damaged area.
Someone had cut it.
Allison may have done it in a hurry, or perhaps she wanted to do it more obviously. The damage wasn't very serious, and it was quickly repaired.
The Principal watched Abigail's clean and neat actions with a hint of admiration in his eyes.
Even Gregory stared at her dumbfounded, his eyes filled with tenderness.
He never knew that Abigail could actually sew clothes.
But watching her movements, she seemed skilled, as if she had done it many times before.
He suddenly remembered Abigail's situation in the Martin family, and a trace of coldness flashed in his eyes.
His Abigail had suffered enough in the Martin family; he couldn't just let it go.
Once he finished his busy period, no one from the Martin family would escape!

Inside, it was quiet enough to hear a pin drop, but outside, it was already chaotic.
According to the order, it should have been Abigail's turn.
But after the host announced Abigail's name, no one appeared at all.
The students who were waiting for Abigail to perform in the audience were puzzled, not knowing what had happened.
Gradually, the whole venue began to stir.
After all, no one had expected such an accident to occur.
Since the end of her performance, Jessica had been waiting backstage, wanting to see Abigail make a fool of herself on stage.
Allison, who had just come from backstage, had been proud and said that she had a surprise for her to watch.
Until this moment, she finally knew what surprise Allison was talking about.
She couldn't help but burst into laughter, her excitement almost overflowing.
Allison, that idiot had finally done something useful.
As long as Abigail didn't go on stage, no one would steal her spotlight.
She could almost envision the scene of Abigail being despised by everyone in the school after Today.
That trace of loss that Gregory had originally ignored instantly vanished.
Allison smiled triumphantly and said to Jessica, "Jessica, your performance today was surely the best!"
Jessica smiled even happier.
But she didn't forget to maintain her image and pretended to be worried, saying, "Allison, what did you do to Abigail? Is she in danger?"
"Don't worry, I just locked her up, that's all. She'll be fine."
She had carefully studied before doing this. There were no cameras in the fitting room.
There were so many people performing Today and countless people going in and out of the fitting room.
Abigail would never find any evidence to prove that she did it.
So she would be fine!
Upon hearing this, Jessica finally relaxed a bit.
In a place where no one noticed, she had a smug smile on her face.
But just then, the lights on the stage suddenly went out.
When everyone didn't know what had happened, a beam of light shone on the stage again.
They were surprised to find that the once-empty stage now had a graceful figure.
Immediately, a mournful and melodious violin sound started playing, echoing in everyone's ears.
