Chapter 327 Fell in Love with Him
Abigail hugged her tightly and threatened, "Tricia, you have secrets from me now? Spill it, what's going on between you two?"
"What are you talking about? I don't understand!" Tricia played dumb.
Abigail snorted, "Do you think I don't know you? Tell the truth!"
As she spoke, she started to tickle her.
As long-time friends, Abigail knew exactly how to exploit Tricia's vulnerabilities.
Sure enough, it didn't take long for Tricia to start begging for mercy. "Fine, I'll tell you, okay?"
Abigail smiled in satisfaction and withdrew her hand.
Blushing, Tricia shyly said, "Actually, nothing has happened between us yet. I just think he's a pretty good guy, that's all!"
She did hope something would happen with Henry, but she was also aware of her limitations.
Henry came from the Clark Family, a man of high status.
And she came from a modest background, with many poor relatives.
Most importantly, she had a child on the way, which no man would likely accept, right?
Hearing this, Abigail frowned and fell silent.
This was indeed a tricky situation.
Background and status were one thing, as Henry never cared about those. But the child was another matter.
Abigail rubbed her temples in frustration and asked, "What are you planning to do?"
"I don't know." Tricia shook her head gravely and sighed. "Abigail, you know what? At first, I really disliked him, thought he was no good. But somehow, I started paying more attention to him and caring more about him."
To be honest, she had never felt this way even when she was with Tom.
Abigail sighed, feeling quite troubled.
Just then, she heard Tricia say, "I originally planned not to keep this child, but the doctor said my health is poor, and if I have an abortion, I might never have children again."
So, she never really hoped for any response. After all, what man would accept a woman who could never have children?
Maybe they were just not meant to be.
Abigail looked at her, seeing her downcast expression, and couldn't help but start to worry.
"Maybe you should ask Henry how he feels. Maybe he likes you too?" Abigail asked.
"How could that be?" Tricia shook her head with a smile.
Henry was such a playboy, surrounded by countless women. How could he be interested in her?
Besides, there were too many obstacles between them; it was impossible!
Seeing her like this, Abigail felt another pang of heartache.
She grabbed Tricia's hand and started walking toward Henry. "How will you know if you don't ask? Come on, I'll take you."
Tricia was startled, her face turning pale. "No, Abigail, don't do this. What if we can't even be friends anymore?"
Abigail suddenly stopped. "Then what do you suggest? Are you really willing to keep all your feelings bottled up inside?"
Tricia bit her lip and said nothing.
The two stood there in a stalemate, neither speaking.
Noticing them while socializing, Henry quickly walked over and asked, "What's wrong with you two? You don't look well. Did you have a fight?"
Tricia was startled and quickly denied, "No."
Abigail took a deep breath and shook her head lightly.
"Today is my birthday. You two must get along. No matter what disagreements you have today, don't let things escalate," Henry said.
Seeing his serious expression, Tricia couldn't help but laugh. "Alright, we really didn't fight. You go on."
Henry looked at them suspiciously. "Really?"
"Really!" Abigail and Tricia said in unison.
Henry finally breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, "I knew it. You two get along so well; how could you possibly fight?"
Abigail glanced at Henry and asked with a smile, "Why haven't I seen you with a date recently? You used to always have someone with you."
Henry's heart skipped a beat at her words. "What are you talking about? Am I that kind of person?"
He quickly glanced at Tricia.
'If Tricia knew about my past with so many women, wouldn't it be even harder to pursue her?' Thinking of this, his heart tightened, and he quickly retorted, "Stop badmouthing me. Weren't you always with Roman before?"
As soon as he finished speaking, he felt a deathly stare. Turning his head, he saw Gregory standing behind him, having approached unnoticed.
Henry fell silent.
Startled, he quickly hid behind Tricia, smiling awkwardly, "Gregory, when did you get here?"
'How does he walk so quietly?' Henry wondered.
Gregory said, "Right after you mentioned Roman."
Henry fell silent again.
Fearing Gregory's anger, he quickly pleaded, "Gregory, I was just talking nonsense. Please don't mind!"
Abigail snorted coldly. With Gregory backing her, her attitude instantly became arrogant. "Nonsense? You didn't sound like you were talking nonsense just now!"
Henry was instantly scared. "Abigail, I won't dare again."
Gregory was just too intimidating!
Seeing Henry apologize so quickly, Abigail couldn't help but laugh. "Alright, I forgive you."
It seemed that the matter between him and Tricia wasn't urgent; she needed to plan it out slowly.
On the way home, lost in her thoughts, Abigail remained silent.
Noticing something was off, Gregory glanced at her and curiously asked, "What are you thinking about so deeply?"
Abigail snapped out of it and whispered mysteriously in his ear, "Today, Tricia told me she likes Henry."
Gregory raised an eyebrow slightly and said, "Isn't that a good thing? Why do you look so worried?"
Hearing this, Abigail sighed heavily, feeling a bit melancholic. "You don't understand. Tricia is pregnant, and the child is Tom's."
"So?"
"The main issue is that Tricia wants to keep the baby because her doctor told her after a check-up that if she has an abortion, she might never be able to have children again!"
Gregory fell silent. This was indeed a very tricky situation.
Although Henry's family wasn't strict, they would never tolerate Henry raising another man's child.
Nor could they accept the Clark Family not having their own child.
He pinched his brow, feeling worried for Henry.
"Alright, stop thinking about it. Let them worry about their own issues," Gregory said.
Abigail exhaled slowly. "You're right. Happiness has to be fought for. I hope Tricia figures it out soon."
