Chapter 141 Who Told You He Was Impotent?
The door was pushed open, and Quinn walked out.
Abigail hurried forward and asked anxiously, "Quinn, how is Mr. White? Did the antidote work?"
Quinn replied, "Yes, it did. He needs to soak for a few more hours until the effects completely wear off. You can go in and take care of him now."
Abigail nodded, her tightly furrowed brows finally relaxing.
She seemed to remember something, opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated.
Quinn noticed the change in her expression and asked calmly, "Is there anything else?"
He seemed to have more patience with Abigail than with others.
Henry noticed this and was very surprised.
He had known Quinn for many years and understood him well.
Quinn was someone who lived entirely in his own world and didn't care about others' feelings.
In his world, men and women were essentially the same, and he wouldn't go out of his way to be gentle with anyone.
However, Henry attributed this to the fact that Abigail was someone Gregory cared about; it was normal for a best friend to be more patient with her.
Abigail glanced at the two of them, looking conflicted. "I want to ask, isn't he... impotent? Why does this medicine work?"
Did this mean they would have to rely on medication in the future?
Abigail's cheeks instantly turned red, and she didn't dare to think further.
Quinn and Henry were stunned, their eyes full of disbelief.
Henry was the first to react and couldn't help but laugh. "Abigail, you're so interesting."
Even Quinn looked speechless. "Who told you he was impotent?"
Another burst of laughter followed. Henry laughed so hard that tears came out and he kept waving his hand. "I can't take it anymore; my stomach hurts from laughing. Abigail, you're just too adorable!"
They had always assumed Gregory hadn't slept with Abigail out of respect for her or because Abigail wasn't ready.
They had never imagined that Abigail had always misunderstood Gregory!
Abigail blinked, realizing something was wrong. "But everyone outside says he has problems in that area and can't have children. Even Elaine said so!"
If she hadn't heard it from Elaine herself, she wouldn't have believed it so much.
Henry sneered, "Most of what Elaine says is not to be believed. If it weren't for her, Gregory wouldn't have..."
"Henry!" Quinn quickly stopped him as he spoke without thinking.
Henry regretfully patted his forehead and changed the subject. "Abigail, don't worry. Gregory is very healthy. You should go in and see him!"
Abigail wanted to ask what he was about to say, but hearing the last sentence, she couldn't think of anything else and hurried into the bathroom.
Gregory lay in the white porcelain bathtub, his eyes tightly closed and his face as pale as paper, devoid of any color.
He was naked from the waist up, wearing only boxer shorts, his sexy and well-defined chest exposed to the air.
The warm yellow light shone on him, softening his sharp aura and making him seem less unapproachable.
Abigail felt heartbroken and walked to the bathtub, slowly squatting down.
Sensing someone approaching, Gregory opened his eyes warily.
His deep blue eyes flashed with a sharp gleam, like a freshly unsheathed blade, extremely sharp.
Abigail was startled by his gaze and asked worriedly, "Mr. White, are you okay?"
Gregory's originally empty and scattered pupils slowly began to focus, landing on Abigail's worried face. His gaze paused, and he quickly masked the coldness in his eyes.
He held Abigail's slender, soft hand and gently shook his head. "I'm fine. Didn't I tell you not to come? Why did you still follow?"
Abigail, with red eyes, asked him, "If I hadn't come, were you planning to keep it from me and pretend nothing happened?"
Gregory helplessly curled his lips. That was indeed his plan.
He couldn't bear to see Abigail worry, nor did he want to see her cry.
Abigail snorted softly. She knew it would be like this.
Although they hadn't been married long, Gregory always showed his best side to her, never letting her see his vulnerability.
This led to her understanding of Gregory being only superficial.
She didn't like this; otherwise, she would always feelthere was a barrier between them.
She held Gregory's hand, gently pressing it against her cheek, and said seriously, "Mr. White, we are husband and wife. No matter what happens, we should face it together. I hope you will stop excluding me."
Hearing Abigail's words, Gregory was taken aback.
He quickly denied, "Abigail, I never intended to exclude you. I just didn't want you to worry. Don't overthink it."
"If you don't want me to overthink, then don't hide things from me in the future," Abigail said righteously. "Mr. White, I want to know you, both the good and the bad."
Loving someone meant loving all of them.
She didn't know how others' relationships were, but at least for her, trust was always the foundation of a relationship.
Gregory nodded and promised, "Okay, I'll tell you everything from now on."
Abigail was finally satisfied. "I'll let it go this time, but if it happens again, I won't talk to you!"
Looking at Abigail's fair and cute face, Gregory felt the heat he had just suppressed surge again.
He couldn't help but take a deep breath.
Abigail thought he was feeling unwell and was very anxious. "Mr. White, are you okay? Didn't you take the medicine? Why are you still so uncomfortable?"
Gregory sighed helplessly and said, "Abigail, you need to go out. Be good."
"But I want to stay with you." Abigail's eyes were red, full of worry and tension.
Gregory reached out to touch her cheek and chuckled. "Be good, go out first. If you stay here, the drug's effect won't wear off until tomorrow."
Abigail's presence was too attractive to him, every move tugging at his nerves.
He was afraid he would lose control and do something bad to Abigail.
Abigail was stunned for a while before finally understanding what he meant. Her cheeks turned red, and her heart started beating uncontrollably fast.
She shyly said, "Mr. White, don't say such things!"
Abigail had always thought Gregory had a physical defect, so she had never considered that matter. But now, everything was different.
Seeing her shyness, Gregory felt even more delighted. He raised an eyebrow and deliberately lowered his voice, saying ambiguously, "If my Abigail wants it, it's not impossible, but we have to wait until the drug's effect wears off. I don't want our first time to be a bad experience for you."
Abigail glared at him with her beautiful eyes and hurriedly left the bathroom.
