Chapter 302 More Than One Lover?
Dinner was over, and everyone was full.
Henry looked resentfully at Abigail and Gregory, vowing never to dine with them again!
Who told them to bully him, a single person?
Perhaps his gaze was too obvious, as Gregory noticed and slowly turned his head, meeting Henry's eyes.
Henry remained silent.
Henry blinked and quickly avoided Gregory's gaze, looking everywhere but at Gregory.
Gregory shook his head and looked away.
"Henry, you're responsible for taking Ms. Dixon home. Since we've been drinking tonight, just call a driver," Gregory said.
"Okay." Henry nodded in agreement.
Tricia wanted to refuse but thought better of it and said nothing.
It was already close to 11 PM, and as a pregnant woman, it was indeed dangerous for her to go home alone.
In the past, she would have been fearless.
But now it was different; she had a child in her belly.
She absolutely couldn't take any risks with her child!
After Henry and Tricia left, Leo drove Lily home first and then returned to Maple Residence.
Abigail was exhausted and dozed off in the car.
In her drowsiness, she felt her body seemingly falling.
Immediately, a warm hand supported her head.
The warmth from that palm made her feel familiar and at ease. She nuzzled it lightly, her eyelids fluttering but unable to open, and soon she fell into a deep sleep.
Gregory supported Abigail's slipping head, gently adjusting his position so she could rest comfortably on his shoulder.
He lowered his gaze, his eyes falling on Abigail's delicate face.
The car drove along the road, and the streetlights outside flickered in, casting a play of light and shadow on her face.
Abigail slept soundly, her small mouth moving slightly, a smile playing at her lips as if she were dreaming of something pleasant.
Gregory couldn't help but let his thin lips curve into a slight smile.
He moved a bit, pulling Abigail into his arms, and then lowered his head to plant a kiss on her soft, tender lips.
The car soon arrived home, but Abigail showed no signs of waking up.
Gregory had no choice but to carry her upstairs to their room.
Before going upstairs, Gregory lowered his voice and instructed Leo, "Keep an eye on David's movements. Kayla will probably be released tomorrow. When that happens, bring all the lovers we've found to the hospital."
David had threatened Abigail with photos, and Gregory hadn't settled that score yet. Did David really think he could get away with it?
Leo's eyes flashed with determination, and he nodded seriously and solemnly. "Yes."
The next afternoon, as Kayla left the police station, she was stopped by a man in a black suit and sunglasses, exuding a cold and powerful aura.
The strong presence of the man instilled fear in her, and Kayla took a nervous step back, her face full of caution.
"Who are you?" Kayla asked.
"Who I am is not important. Someone wants me to give you something."
With that, he took out a document bag, shoved it into Kayla's hands, and left without looking back.
Kayla frowned as she watched the man walk away.
She wondered, 'Who on earth is he?'
But before she could ponder the question, she was completely shocked by the contents of the document bag!
'What? David has more than just Susan as a lover?'
He even had three or four illegitimate daughters!
'David! You bastard! Just you wait!' Kayla was trembling with anger, clutching the document bag tightly, wishing she could tear apart the women and children in the photos.
Upon learning that David was currently in the hospital, she couldn't care about anything else and stormed off in a rage!
