Chapter 174 A Match Made in Heaven

Seeing them chat so happily, Gregory wasn't thrilled. He wrapped his arm around Abigail's shoulder and pulled her close. "Just ask me if you need anything."

With Quinn's support, Henry couldn't resist teasing, "Man, your possessiveness is off the charts. Only Abigail can put up with you."

Feeling a bit embarrassed being teased in front of everyone, Abigail's cheeks turned a little pink.

Gregory, though, stayed cool. He leaned down, kissed Abigail, and said, "We're perfect for each other. In every way, we're a match made in heaven."

Seeing Gregory being so open, the others looked on with envy.

Henry clutched his chest, pretending to be heartbroken. "Here I am, a poor single guy, coming to celebrate and eat with you, only to watch you flaunt your love. It's too much!"

A hint of amusement flashed in Quinn's eyes as he rarely mocked, "Don't you have enough women around you?"

'The real single person here is me,' Quinn thought.

Henry shook his head and gave Quinn a hard pat on the shoulder. "True, I do have plenty of women around. But you, you don't have a single one?"

His expression turned serious. "Maybe you should get checked out at the hospital. If you've got a problem, not treating it could ruin your happiness for life."

Quinn's face darkened, and he let go. Without support, Henry fell to the ground, yelping in pain. "Quinn, I was just trying to help. You're too heartless!"

Quinn glanced at him indifferently, then brushed off his clothes. "Keep talking nonsense, and you'll be sleeping on the street tonight."

At every gathering, Quinn never drank a drop and always took the drunken Henry home afterward.

Hearing this, Henry quickly dusted himself off, got up, and said a flattering manner, "Quinn, I was just joking. Don't take it seriously!"

Quinn felt a wave of disgust. The veins on his forehead throbbed, and he angrily whispered, "Henry, shut up!"

Seeing he was really mad, Henry awkwardly touched his nose and kept quiet.

Abigail watched from the side, unable to hold back her laughter.

She lowered her voice and whispered to Gregory, "Mr. White, do you think they're like a pair of balancing forces?"

Gregory's eyes showed a hint of a smile, and he nodded slightly. "Sort of. Henry's always a handful, and Quinn's always there to keep him in check."

Abigail laughed and sighed, "If Quinn were a girl, they might be a pair of bickering lovers. What do you think?"

Quinn, who was about to take Henry to the car, paused and suddenly turned around. "What bickering lovers?"

Abigail quickly covered her mouth and waved her hand. "Nothing, be safe on the road."

Quinn didn't think much of it, nodded lightly, said goodbye, and drove off.

Watching the car drive away, Abigail patted her chest in relief and let out a heavy sigh.

Gregory turned to look at her, finding her absolutely adorable. He cupped her cheeks and planted a heavy kiss on her lips. "Why are you so cute?" He even wanted to take a bite.

Abigail blinked, confused about why he suddenly kissed her again.

Seeing her puzzled look, Gregory's smile grew wider. He ruffled her hair and took her hand, saying, "Let's go home."

Half an hour later, they pulled up to Maple Residence.

Ralph hurried out to greet them, looking a bit somber. "Mr. White, Mrs. White, Roman brought Jessica here. They're asking for your forgiveness."

"They actually have the nerve to show up," Gregory sneered.

Ralph sighed, "I told them you weren't home and asked them to leave, but they refused to go and insisted on waiting for you."

In all his years as a butler, he had never dealt with such shameless people.

Jessica was here to apologize, she should at least act like it, right?

But no, she had no self-awareness and even pointed at his nose, cursing, "You're just a dog raised by the White family. What's there to be proud of? I advise you to call Abigail and tell her to come back."

Ralph was furious. Even though he was just a butler, he managed the entire Maple Residence, and everyone respected him.

Even Grace and Gregory had to respect him. Who did Jessica think she was?

Abigail glanced at Gregory, took his hand, and walked inside. "Since they've waited so long, let's go in and see them."

In the living room, Jessica and Roman sat on the sofa, occasionally glancing toward the door.

Having waited so long, Jessica was bored and a bit sleepy.

She pouted unhappily. "Roman, it's already past ten at night. Why isn't Gregory back yet? Are they making us wait on purpose?"

Roman was also a bit impatient but warned, "Don't say things you shouldn't. Do you think this is your home?"

Suddenly being scolded, Jessica pouted in grievance and didn't dare to speak.

For some reason, since they got married, Roman had become increasingly impatient with her.

Moreover, she had caused a big mess this time and got expelled from Aramore University, making Roman even angrier with her.

So now, she didn't dare to throw a tantrum in front of Roman.

At that moment, footsteps came from outside the door. Gregory and Abigail walked in and stood in front of them.

Roman almost immediately noticed Abigail.

He didn't know if it was his imagination, but Abigail seemed to be getting more beautiful, with an added touch of maturity and intelligence.

Not only was her exquisitely made-up face captivating, but her overall aura was also impressive.

Roman stared at her, momentarily lost in thought.

If they hadn't broken off the engagement, he would have been the one to enjoy this beauty.

As soon as this thought emerged, a cold, piercing chill enveloped him.

Roman snapped back to reality and met Gregory's warning gaze.

His heart skipped a beat, and for some reason, he felt a bit guilty. "Gregory, you're back?"

"Yeah, what do you need?" Gregory withdrew his gaze, holding Abigail's hand as they sat on the sofa opposite, looking at him leisurely.
