Chapter 310 Gregory Found Out
Elaine's expression shifted, and she glanced around. Seeing no one nearby, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She hurriedly covered Olivia's mouth and warned in a low voice, "Olivia, are you trying to cause more trouble?"
If Gregory heard those words, wouldn't he come looking for trouble with her? She had long been subjected to Gregory's tactics; he was practically a demon!
If it weren't for the fact that she was Stephen's wife, how could she have been so arrogant in the White family for so many years?
This matter absolutely must not be known to Gregory!
She warned sternly, "Listen to me, you must not mention this again. If anyone hears, we're both done for!"
Olivia didn't understand why Elaine was reacting so strongly, but seeing her red eyes and serious expression, she could only nod.
Fine, she wouldn't say anything.
After Olivia left, Elaine sat alone on the couch in the living room, restless.
'What to do?' If Abigail went to Gregory to complain, what would she do?
Elaine was flustered and didn't sleep well all night. The next day, she woke up with dark circles under her eyes.
Her state scared the maid.
"Mrs. White, what's wrong? Why are your dark circles so heavy?" the maid asked.
Elaine touched her somewhat dry eyes and forced a faint smile. "It's nothing, just a bit of insomnia last night." After a pause, she changed the subject. "By the way, did Mr. White not come back all night again?"
The maid looked at her and nodded cautiously. Elaine clenched her fists tightly, feeling a bit irritated.
Stephen was still mad at her.
She angrily said, "If he has the guts, he should never come back!"
At that moment, the phone suddenly rang, and Elaine's eyes lit up as she hurried to get the phone.
She smirked, thinking it must be Stephen calling.
She knew that as long as she grasped his vulnerabilities, he would definitely give in.
However, when she saw the caller ID, Elaine was so scared she almost dropped the phone.
'Gregory? How could it be him?'
Elaine's eyes widened in horror, and her heart skipped a beat. A sense of panic surged in her heart.
'Could he be coming to settle accounts? What should I do?'
Probably because no one answered for a long time, the call was quickly hung up. Elaine let out a heavy sigh of relief.
Just when she thought she had finally gotten through this difficulty, she received a text message from Gregory.
It was a very short message: [3 PM, I'll be waiting for you in the president's office at the White Group.]
Elaine's breath hitched, and she felt even more panicked.
'It's over, it's all over!' Elaine thought.
She stared at the text message, almost feeling like she was going to faint.
What exactly did Gregory want to do? Could he really know about that matter and want to help Abigail? No way!
Gregory had no evidence. As long as she firmly denied it, Gregory couldn't do anything to her.
Elaine took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.
At 3 PM, she arrived at the White Group building on time.
The receptionist saw her and immediately took her to the top floor by elevator. "Mrs. Elaine White, the president is waiting for you inside. You may go in."
Elaine stared at the closed door in front of her, her heart pounding wildly again.
She nervously swallowed and kept reassuring herself in her mind, 'It's okay, it will be okay!'
Even if Gregory knew, so what? She was Stephen's wife, and that identity would always protect her. Stephen would also protect her.
Besides, everything she did before was just to uphold justice—who told that despicable Michelle to dare seduce Stephen?
'She ultimately got what she deserved! Yes, that's right!' Elaine thought to herself.
