"Michelle, don't be like this. You can hit me or scold me, but please don't leave me, okay?" Caius chased after her and stopped Michelle.
Michelle looked at him coldly and said in a low voice, "I don't want to see you right now. No one likes being deceived or kept in the dark. Besides, what bothers me the most isn't even that."
A glimmer of hope ignited in Caius's heart. "Then what is it? Michelle, tell me, and I'll change."
Michelle couldn't help but sneer. "Change? How do you plan to change? Do you think a few apologies can erase everything that happened and the harm Abigail suffered?"
Although she hadn't regained her past memories, she still felt empathy. As a mother, being forced to leave her child, causing years of pain and grievance, was unacceptable. And Caius was the one responsible for all of this!
Facing Michelle's questioning, Caius opened his mouth but couldn't speak. She was right. He hadn't fulfilled his responsibilities and didn't deserve to be Abigail's father. His previous life had been stolen. Now that the truth was out, it was understandable that Michelle wanted to abandon him completely.
His grip on Michelle's shoulders suddenly loosened, and he seemed to lose all his strength.
Michelle sighed, shook her head, and left with Abigail.
Gregory saw everything and, before leaving, paused and patted Caius on the shoulder. "Mom didn't mention divorce, which means there's still a chance. Reflect seriously and show sincerity. I believe she will forgive you."
As an observer, he saw Michelle still had feelings for Caius; otherwise, she wouldn't have left room for reconciliation. The most crucial thing now was Caius's attitude and next move.
Caius answered, "You're right. I can't be defeated by this. I've been with Michelle for so many years; I don't believe she'll just abandon me like this."
Seeing him regain his composure, Gregory nodded in satisfaction and continued, "The most important thing now is to find out who exposed this. It's obvious that it's either aimed at Mom or Abigail."
Regardless, they had to stay vigilant; if those people had other plans, it would only leave them more helpless.
Caius took a deep breath and nodded. "I understand. I'll investigate this thoroughly."
Gregory said, "I'll also help with the investigation."
Outside, Abigail and Michelle got into the car and waited for Gregory.
Abigail quietly observed Michelle's expression and asked in a low voice, "Mom, are you really going back to Aramore with me?"
Michelle glanced at her and said coldly, "Don't think I'm not angry with you. Such a big matter, and you hid it from me along with Caius."
Abigail awkwardly touched her nose and defended herself, "I wanted to tell you at first, but then I thought, maybe it's a good thing you've lost your memory."
Forgetting those painful memories from the past was naturally a good thing.
Michelle looked at her, feeling a pang of sadness, and suddenly pulled her into a hug.

Abigail said, "It's not silly. It's a decision made after weighing the pros and cons. Think about it, rather than letting you know the truth and suffer with me, it's better for me to bear it alone. At least one of us can be happy."
Michelle had suffered too much when she was young.
Although Caius had deceived her, if there was one person in this world who could make Michelle happy, it would be Caius.
Hearing this, Michelle couldn't hold back her tears.
She said, "I won't let you suffer even a bit from now on."
When Gregory opened the car door, he saw Michelle and Abigail crying in each other's arms. He paused briefly, then silently took the driver's seat. Once they had cried enough, he started the engine and drove to the airport.
