Chapter 126 Making Us Elders Wait for Them

Abigail woke up to the sound of a ringing phone. She frowned and struggled to open her eyes.

A warm hand gently patted her back.

Gregory's deep, hoarse voice reassured her, "Go back to sleep."

Half-asleep, Abigail felt someone cover her ears, blocking out the noise.

She quickly drifted back into a deep sleep.

When she woke up again, it was already daylight.

To her surprise, Gregory hadn't gone to work.

Downstairs, she found him on the living room sofa, laptop on his lap, focused on work.

"Mr. White, didn't you go to work?" she asked.

Gregory looked up and smiled, "Mom called this morning. She wants us to go to the White Manor."

Abigail looked surprised, "Calling so early, is something wrong?"

Gregory gave her a meaningful look, "Andy said Olivia went to the White Manor early this morning."

Abigail suddenly understood.

So Olivia had gone to complain!

Yesterday's incident had already been cleared up, and the video was proof.

Where did Olivia get the nerve to complain?

Gregory couldn't help but pinch Abigail's cheek when he saw her angry face. Feeling its softness, he grinned slightly and said, "Don't worry, Mom knows right from wrong."

Grace had always liked Abigail and would definitely take her side.

Abigail nodded, "I know Mom will take my side because I haven't done anything wrong. I just can't understand why Olivia would do this."

The human heart was hard to understand.

She had suffered a lot under Kayla and Jessica before, thinking she had seen the worst of human nature.

But now she realized that was just the tip of the iceberg.

People like Olivia couldn't tell right from wrong.

"Alright, stop thinking about it. We'll know what Olivia wants when we get there," Gregory reassured her.

Gregory didn't want Abigail troubled by others.

His Abigail should always focus on him.

No one could take her attention away.

No one.

At the White Manor...

Grace sat steadily on the living room sofa, saying nothing.

When she was serious, her entire demeanor became imposing, making it difficult for people to look at her directly. Her cold eyes, devoid of warmth, only intensified this effect.

Elaine and Olivia sat opposite her, not daring to make a sound.

The atmosphere in the living room was tense and silent.

As time passed, Elaine and Olivia grew increasingly uneasy, especially Olivia, who had lied.

Yesterday, it wasn't Abigail who had pushed her down the stairs; she had deliberately fallen to frame Abigail.

She had come here to find Elaine, originally just to cry and gain some sympathy.

Elaine wasn't very smart and always trusted her because of their family relationship.

As long as she shed a few tears, Olivia knew Elaine would side with her against Abigail.

Her goal would be half accomplished.

The other half? She wanted Elaine to convince Stephen to get Gregory to cooperate with the Jewel Summit Group.

Everything had been going smoothly until Grace overheard their conversation!

Olivia lowered her eyes, a flash of disgust and resentment in them.

'Grace, why don't you just die?' Olivia thought.

As long as Grace was around, Elaine would always be suppressed, and Olivia would struggle to marry Gregory smoothly.

While Olivia was lost in her thoughts, a sharp, icy gaze swept over her.

Olivia instinctively looked up to find Grace staring at her.

Those shrewd eyes seemed to see through everything.

Her shoulders shrank, and she quickly lowered her head even more.

After about half an hour, Elaine, growing impatient, couldn't help but complain softly, "Making us elders wait for them!"

Olivia anxiously glanced at the door, stood up, and said to Grace, "Grace, let's just drop this. I won't argue with Abigail. I have something to do, so I'll leave first..."

Before she could finish, Grace sneered.

Olivia looked at her, not understanding what she meant.

Grace stared directly into her eyes and said, "You are in such a hurry to leave? Do you really have something to do, or are you feeling guilty?"

"I..." Olivia opened her mouth, wanting to explain.

Grace raised her hand to interrupt her. "Wait a few more minutes; they'll be here soon. Ms. Parker, why not wait until the matter is resolved before leaving? If Abigail really pushed you, I'll make her apologize. If not, then I have to suspect you have ulterior motives."

This completely blocked Olivia's way out.

Olivia was scared but had nothing to say, so she reluctantly sat back down, forcing a smile.

A few minutes later, Abigail and Gregory walked into the White Manor hand in hand.

Seeing Olivia and Elaine in the living room, they exchanged a glance.

As expected, Olivia was here to complain.

Abigail stepped forward first, greeted Grace, and then looked at Olivia: "Ms. Parker, what a coincidence, we meet again."

Olivia's face was pale, her lips trembling, unable to utter a word. Her heart pounded as she instinctively wanted to flee, knowing that staying could lead to utter ruin.

But with so many eyes on her, she couldn't leave even if she wanted to.

Moreover, there were many bodyguards at the White Manor.

Although they didn't appear often, as long as Grace gave the order, no one could leave.

Olivia was so scared that she broke out in a cold sweat, forcing a smile: "Ms. Martin, what a coincidence."

"I heard you have been spreading rumors that I pushed you down the stairs yesterday?" Abigail remarked.

The smile on Olivia's face froze instantly, her eyes evasive, unable to say a word.

Abigail sneered inwardly. With such poor psychological resilience, she shamelessly wanted to compete with her for Gregory?

Elaine couldn't stand seeing Olivia being wronged and immediately got angry: "Abigail, wasn't it you who pushed her? Look at Olivia, she's covered in injuries. How are you going to compensate her?"

As she spoke, she rolled up Olivia's sleeve.

The fair skin was covered in bruises, looking quite frightening.
