Chapter 177 Covered in Traces of Love

Abigail didn't see it coming—Gregory being so insistent today, demanding an answer.

She felt her cheeks heat up, her heart racing like crazy.

Turning her face away to hide her emotions, she whispered, "I like you."

Just a few words, but it took everything she had. After that, she couldn't bring herself to look at Gregory.

But even without looking, she could feel his gaze burning into her as she said those three words.

Hearing what he wanted, Gregory felt like his heart was about to burst.

He pulled Abigail into a tight hug, lifted her chin with his fingers, and kissed her.

Words couldn't capture the joy he felt at that moment.

Abigail might not realize how long he'd been waiting to hear those words.

Feeling the warmth of their kiss, Gregory thought all the waiting and silent dedication over the years were worth it.

Abigail felt Gregory's passion and wrapped her arms around his neck, standing on tiptoe to kiss him back.

Their start was rushed, but every moment they spent together felt real. Meeting Gregory was the best thing that ever happened to her.

The kiss went on so long that Abigail's legs started to give out. If Gregory hadn't been holding her, she might've collapsed.

To keep from falling, she clung tightly to Gregory's shirt.

The perfectly ironed shirt got all wrinkled under her grip.

Gregory slowly scooped her up, and headed upstairs.

Looking into his deep eyes, Abigail knew what was coming next.

Sure enough, as soon as they hit the bedroom, Gregory laid her on the bed and leaned in.

A series of passionate kisses followed, lasting late into the night.

The next morning, Abigail woke up to find it was already nine o'clock.

She glanced at the time and jumped out of bed. "Oh no, I'm gonna be late!"

Today was her first day at work. Even though the police hadn't gathered enough evidence against David, he was temporarily detained.

David's actions had seriously hurt DM's shareholders and directors. With the stock transfer agreement invalidated, David was kicked off the board.

And Abigail smoothly became the new president.

She knew many people in the company secretly opposed her, but they had no choice but to accept her as president.

Because Gregory had said that the cooperation with the White Group could only be handled by Abigail.

Even if they were unhappy, they had to deal with it. This was Gregory's gift to Abigail on her first day inheriting the DM.

Today was her official start, and she had to be at the DM building by nine.

It was clearly too late now.

Thinking of this, Abigail glared at Gregory, who was still sleeping soundly, and gave him a hard shove.

Last night, she had clearly said no, but someone got more and more excited, pulling her into intimate moments again and again.

In the end, she was so wiped out that she kept begging for mercy, and Gregory finally let her off the hook.

Gregory woke up to her push and, seeing Abigail, a smile spread across his face. "Morning, babe."

"It's already nine! This is all your fault; I'm already late." Abigail shot him a glare.

Gregory's smile grew wider, and he reached out to pull her into his arms. "Well, since you're already late, why not catch a few more winks? You must be beat from last night. Let me give you a massage."

Abigail was so mad she pinched his waist hard. "Gregory, do you want to sleep in the study tonight?"

Was this really the time to sleep?

Hearing this, Gregory opened his eyes again and raised his hands in surrender. "Babe, don't stress. It's time to show those directors who is in charge."

Abigail looked at him, puzzled. "What do you mean?"

"Kiss me, and I'll spill the beans." Gregory lay back on the bed, a mysterious smile playing on his lips.

Abigail's eyes lit up, and she leaned over to kiss him. "Alright, spill it. Did you do something?"

Gregory enjoyed her sweetness.

He said, "They should be busy dealing with the White Group's project director right now, too busy to care if you're late."

Abigail was stunned for a moment, then it clicked. "So you planned this since last night?"

Last night's events would have happened even without Roman.

Gregory was indeed very cunning.

Gregory gently squeezed her hand. "Just a precaution. Don't worry. I've been in the business world for years. I didn't get here by luck. I know how to handle those old guys."

Abigail nodded, thinking it made sense.

Although she did well in school, she had no real-world experience. She knew she couldn't handle those old guys alone.

With Gregory's help, things would be much easier in the future.

Abigail threw herself into Gregory's arms and snuggled. "Thanks, babe!"

Gregory's big hand rubbed her head, and he kissed her forehead. "Silly, your business is my business."

After some more cuddling, Abigail got up to wash and change, only to find her body covered in love marks.

Looking at the marks on her neck and collarbone, Abigail couldn't help but curse Gregory again.

Thinking of how Gregory had made her say she loved him over and over last night, Abigail blushed and quickly found a turtleneck to wear.

After breakfast, Gregory personally drove Abigail to the DM Group. When they arrived at the entrance, Abigail said goodbye and prepared to get out of the car.

But before she could open the door, Gregory grabbed her hand.

He leaned over and kissed her. "I'll pick you up after work tonight. If anything happens, call me. Don't try to handle it alone, okay?"

Abigail nodded obediently. "Got it, thanks."

"Alright, go ahead." Gregory released her hand and slowly straightened up.

Watching Abigail enter the DM Group, he then drove away, heading to the White Group.
