Chapter 311 The Video

Hearing the knock on the door, Gregory didn't even look up and called out, "Come in."

As soon as he finished speaking, the door was pushed open from the outside.

Elaine walked in, forcing a stiff smile on her meticulously made-up face. "Gregory, what do you need me for?"

Gregory heard her and lifted his eyelids to glance at her, casually pointing to the chair opposite him. "Sit."

Elaine sat down as instructed, her whole body tense.

Gregory didn't rush to speak but continued to handle the documents in front of him.

He kept flipping through them, signing his name on the bottom right corner of the last page with a firm stroke.

Time ticked by, but Gregory still didn't speak, making Elaine increasingly anxious. She tentatively spoke again, "Gregory, you didn't call me here just to watch you correct documents, did you?"

This time, Gregory finally looked up, organized the documents in his hand, and placed them aside, interlacing his fingers casually on the desk. "What do you think, Elaine? Why did I call you here this time?"

Elaine's expression stiffened for a moment. "How could I possibly guess that?"

A hint of mockery flashed in Gregory's eyes. "Then I'll get straight to the point. What did Olivia mean by what she said last night?"

Elaine's grip on her handbag tightened suddenly.

'That bitch Abigail really went to tattle!' Elaine cursed inwardly.

She pretended to be calm and met Gregory's gaze. "Gregory, what are you talking about? I don't understand."

Her reaction was entirely within Gregory's expectations.

His expression remained unchanged, and a faint smile appeared on his lips. "Rowan and Juniper recently lost their jobs and want to come to Aramore to find new ones. They want you to help arrange it, right?"

Hearing this, a storm surged in Elaine's heart. "What do you want?" she asked.

Gregory's well-defined fingers lightly tapped on the back of his hand, his expression indifferent. "Don't be nervous, Elaine. We're all family. Your relatives are naturally related to me as well. I can help you."

Elaine's eyes lit up at his words. But she quickly realized that Gregory couldn't possibly be so kind-hearted. He never did anything without a purpose.

Elaine smiled and waved her hand. "No, I'll handle this myself. No need to trouble you, Gregory."

Gregory sighed lightly, as if regretting something. "Is that so? But what do you think, Elaine? If I were to mention something to someone, do you believe Rowan and Juniper could continue to stay in Aramore without any issues?"

Elaine instantly became wary. "What do you want? Gregory, what exactly do you want?"

Gregory's smile faded, and he exuded a cold and powerful sense of oppression. "Elaine, why don't you ask yourself what you've done to Abigail and her mother?"

Facing Gregory's cold eyes, Elaine's heart sank again. Her legs were trembling with nervousness, but she still tried to maintain her composure. "Gregory, what are you talking about? I don't understand."

Gregory asked, "Do you really want me to spell out everything you've done? Or should I call Stephen in and let you confront him?"

Elaine suddenly stood up, the chair making a harsh noise. "No!" she exclaimed.

Gregory looked up at her, his cold voice tinged with a bone-chilling menace. "Where's the video?"

Elaine had originally intended to continue pretending to be ignorant, but with those words, she knew that everything she had done had been discovered.

She felt a moment of panic but quickly regained her composure.

She sneered and said, "I do have the video, but what makes you think I'll give it to you?"
