Chapter 127 Kneeling to Apologize

Olivia frantically signaled for Elaine to stop talking, but Elaine, convinced she finally had dirt on Abigail, ignored the hints and continued.

The moment Elaine rolled up her sleeve, Olivia knew they were in trouble—Abigail had video evidence.

At that moment, Olivia was overwhelmed with regret. If she had known Elaine was this dense, she wouldn't have come to White Manor. Now, she was trapped, struggling to think clearly under Gregory's cold gaze.

Abigail smirked as she stepped forward, saying, "Ms. Parker, your framing skills are impressive."

Grace looked puzzled, "What's going on here?"

Olivia quickly jumped in, "Grace, Aunt Elaine made a mistake. I got these injuries from a fall, not because of Abigail."

She just hoped Grace wouldn't dig deeper, or she'd never be welcome at the White family again.

But Grace wasn't easily fooled.

She narrowed her eyes, her gaze cold, "That's not what you said earlier."

Olivia felt her legs go weak, almost collapsing.

She forced a smile, "Grace, I'm sorry. I only said that to get Aunt Elaine's sympathy. My parents are gone, and I've always seen Aunt Elaine as a mother."

Grace wasn't buying it. She pointed out, "So, you're admitting you framed Abigail earlier?"

Olivia's face went pale, and she nodded, swallowing her pride, "Yes, I wronged Abigail."

Abigail raised an eyebrow, exchanging a look with Gregory.

She hadn't even done anything, and Olivia was already crumbling under pressure?

Grace was tough; a few words were enough to scare Olivia!

With the truth out, Olivia had no reason to stay there and made an excuse to leave.

But as she took a few steps, Abigail called out, "Ms. Parker, remember what you said yesterday? If I proved my innocence, you'd kneel and apologize to me in front of Mom."

Olivia glared at Abigail, "Abigail, don't push it!"

Abigail sneered. "Didn't you agree to that? How am I pushing it now? Ms. Parker, need me to bring in witnesses?"

Olivia gritted her teeth, eyes burning with hatred for Abigail.

Abigail remained composed, pointing to the spot in front of Grace, "Kneel here. If you're too weak, I can get you a cushion so you don't faint and accuse me of mistreating you."

Olivia glared at Abigail, debating whether to feign a fainting spell. Then she knelt, her voice filled with shame as she said, "I'm sorry, I was wrong!"

Abigail glanced at her indifferently, "Too quiet, didn't catch that."

"I'm sorry, I was wrong!" Olivia repeated, louder this time.

Abigail nodded, "What exactly did you do wrong?"

Tears streamed down Olivia's face, "Abigail, enough! I've already knelt and apologized. What more do you want? You're fine; I'm the one hurt here."

Abigail shot her a cold look, "You got hurt because you threw yourself down the stairs. How's that my fault?"

Olivia glanced at Gregory for help, but he didn't even glance her way.

Left with no choice, she repeated her apology.

Abigail nodded, "Remember, you want to marry into the White family, but Gregory is my husband. As long as I'm here, you have no chance. Behave yourself."

Olivia shot her a cold look and awkwardly left the White Manor.

Elaine stood frozen, shocked by her beloved niece's deceit. Her earlier righteous indignation now seemed like a cruel joke, and she felt mortified.

Grace looked at her calmly, "Anything else to say?"

Elaine's face twisted with discomfort. She shook her head, "Mom, I'm not feeling well. I'll leave first."

Without waiting for a response, she fled, avoiding Grace's gaze.

After Elaine and Olivia left, the room fell silent.

Grace's expression softened, and she opened her arms to Abigail, "Abigail, come sit."

Abigail quickly went over, snuggling into Grace's embrace, "Mom, you were amazing just now. Elaine and Olivia didn't dare say a word."

Grace chuckled, "When I was in the business world, they were still playing with toys. Their little tricks don't fool me."

Abigail cozily leaned into Grace, "Mom, you're the smartest and wisest woman I know!"

Grace, flattered, couldn't stop smiling. She gently tapped Abigail's nose, "You're too good at sweet-talking. Now, tell me what happened."

Abigail playfully smiled and recounted the events of the previous day.

Grace's expression darkened, her gaze cold, "I always knew Olivia wasn't kind, but I didn't expect this."

Abigail pouted, glancing at Gregory. Olivia had even threatened to kill herself to get Gregory, but she didn't plan to tell Grace. It was too long ago, and she trusted Gregory.

Gregory was a responsible man. Since marrying her, he had remained faithful. While she might not know him completely, she had faith in his integrity.
