Chapter 270 Good Girl
The party lasted until eleven o'clock at night.
Gregory and his friends talked about work, while Abigail and Tricia chatted together.
Thinking of the recent news she saw online, Tricia asked worriedly, "I heard about the recent DM situation. Are you okay?"
"Don't worry, Tricia. The situation has mostly been resolved. Things should be back on track soon." Abigail took a sip of her drink. Perhaps because DM's products had been selling well recently, she was in a good mood.
Seeing the smile on Abigail's face, Tricia also felt relieved.
If she hadn't been so busy lately, constantly being overworked by Henry, she would have made time to meet up with Abigail.
Thinking of this, she glared fiercely at Henry.
Henry, who was drinking, was puzzled by the sudden glare.
But he was in a good mood today and decided not to argue with Tricia. He smiled and raised his glass to her.
Tricia felt like she was punching a pillow and angrily looked away.
Watching their interaction, Abigail couldn't help but laugh. "Tricia, you and Henry are getting really close."
Tricia immediately got angry. "Who's close with him? I wish I could stay as far away from him as possible."
Abigail just smiled without saying anything.
Tricia probably hadn't even realized that she always treated Henry differently.
Although they often argued, it was only in front of Henry that she showed her true self.
This was the Tricia she knew from before.
Proud, flamboyant, yet still adorable.
At this moment, Henry suddenly came over and curiously asked, "Abigail, what are you two talking about? I heard my name. You weren't secretly..."
"No way! How could that be? You're overthinking it!" Tricia immediately interrupted him, denying it repeatedly.
Henry was taken aback, then awkwardly touched his nose. "I was just asking casually. Why are you so angry? I really don't know who would marry you with that temper."
Tricia got even angrier, rolled up her sleeves, and slammed the table. "Do I have to get married? I think being single is great! I wish I could stay single forever!"
Henry, hearing this, got anxious. "What girl wants to stay single forever? Are you afraid of being rejected and ending up alone?"
Tricia was so angry she wanted to hit him. She had never met someone so infuriating!
Henry grinned. "Don't be mad. If no one wants you in the future, I'll marry you. How about that?"
Tricia was stunned for a moment, then became furious. "Henry, it's not that no one wants me. I just don't want to get married!"
Watching Henry and Tricia bicker, Gregory and Quinn exchanged glances and slowly shook their heads.
How had they not noticed before that Henry was so childish?
He was always gentle and considerate with all the girls, but when it came to Tricia, he seemed to become a completely different person, very immature.
If he kept this up, it would be hard to win Tricia over!
Around midnight, Gregory looked at his watch and said, "It's very late. Everyone should go home and rest. We have a lot to do tomorrow."
Gregory didn't speak much usually, but when he did, no one dared to argue.
Henry and Quinn quickly stood up, straightened their wrinkled clothes, and said their goodbyes.
Abigail, having had some drinks, was feeling dizzy and clung to Tricia. "Tricia, don't go. I want you to stay with me."
Tricia, both amused and exasperated, pointed at Gregory. "You know she can't handle alcohol. Why didn't you keep an eye on her? She'll probably have a headache tomorrow."
Abigail hugged Tricia's neck tightly, rubbing her cheek against Tricia's shoulder. "Tricia, I don't want you to go."
Tricia gently patted Abigail's flushed face and coaxed, "Abigail, it's very late. Let's go home, okay?"
Abigail pouted, looking displeased. "No!"
Seeing Abigail acting spoiled in Tricia's arms, Gregory's face darkened.
Henry, standing next to him, felt the coldness emanating from Gregory and quietly moved aside.
If he wasn't mistaken, Gregory was jealous.
Jealous men could be very scary.
Thinking of this, he quickly signaled to Tricia. "Tricia, it's too late for you to go home alone. How about I give you a ride?"
Gregory stepped forward and gently took Abigail from Tricia's arms. "Henry's right. It's not safe for a girl to go home alone at night. Let Henry take you."
Henry gratefully looked at Gregory. No wonder he was the only one among them who had been in a relationship!
Tricia looked worriedly at Abigail and instructed, "Mr. White, take good care of Abigail. She tends to get sick after drinking. I'll head out first."
Gregory nodded slightly in agreement.
Only then did Tricia leave with peace of mind.
Quinn adjusted his glasses and gave Abigail a deep look. "Gregory, I'll head out too."
"Alright, be careful in Aerilon. Call me if you need anything," Gregory said.
"Okay." Quinn paused for a moment, then left without looking back.
Watching Quinn leave, a dark look flashed in Gregory's eyes.
Abigail, restless in his arms, disrupted his thoughts.
He looked down to see Abigail poking his chest with her finger, complaining, "Tt's so hard, not comfortable!"
Gregory chuckled. He worked out every morning to maintain his physique.
But to Abigail, it was just something to complain about.
He held Abigail's mischievous finger, kissed it, and then looked into her eyes. "Abigail, do you remember who I am?"
Abigail rubbed her blurry eyes and tried hard to focus on the man in front of her.
After a few seconds, she finally recognized him and called out, "Hubby!"
Gregory felt a wave of satisfaction wash over him at the sound of "hubby" and smiled at her, "Say it again."
"Hubby!" Her voice was clear and sweet.
Gregory felt his heart melt and leaned down to kiss her lips. "Good girl."
Abigail, such a good girl.
Gregory had been drinking, and the taste of wine lingered on his lips.
After he pulled away, Abigail licked her lips with her tongue, seemingly wanting more.
"Sweet... delicious," said Abigail.
These words exploded in Gregory's ears like a thunderclap, burning away the last of his restraint.
