Chapter 470 The Real Legacy Ring

"What nonsense are you spouting!" Emrys looked at him in disbelief, sneering. "I went through great lengths to find this, how could it be fake? You must be saying this on purpose because you don't want to give up the inheritance of the Worthington Group, right?"

Caius took two steps towards Emrys, who, startled and wary, quickly closed the jewelry box and hid it behind his back, afraid Caius would snatch the ring.

Emrys asked, "What do you want to do?"

Caius sneered, his eyes full of mockery. "What? Afraid to let me see it? Feeling guilty?"

"Why would I feel guilty? I'll show it to you right now, and you'll have nothing to say!" answered Emrys. As he spoke, Emrys took out the jewelry box again and handed it to Caius.

Caius reached out and took the ring, examining it carefully.

After a while, Emrys looked into his deep eyes and suddenly had a bad premonition.

But he quickly dismissed it in his mind. It couldn't be fake. This ring was personally handed to him by Cliff, who said that with this ring, he could become the heir, and even Caius wouldn't dare do anything to him.

Thinking this, Emrys quickly calmed down. "Well? Have you finished looking? Do you have anything else to say?"

Caius returned the ring, his expression unchanged, and said to everyone, "This ring is fake."

His tone was firm, without a trace of hesitation or guilt.

As soon as he said this, it was like a thunderclap, shocking everyone. They all looked at him in disbelief.

"Fake? How is that possible? How could a ring be fake?"

"Caius, don't fool us. This ring looks like a high-quality gemstone, and it even has our Worthington family's unique ancestral pattern. It can't be fake!"

"Yeah, I think this gemstone is definitely real!"

Everyone discussed, pointing at the ring.

Emrys sneered. "I think you just can't bear to give up the position. If you say my ring is fake, then show us the real one if you can."

Caius pressed his thin lips together; he indeed couldn't produce the real one.

Emrys became even more smug, his expression more arrogant. "Since you can't, what right do you have to question mine as fake?"

Caius said in a low voice, "Although this ring is finely crafted, it's not hard to see that the engraving technique and style are from the last few decades."

Emrys said, "Engraving technique? You can tell that? Who are you trying to fool!"

After a pause, he continued, "Either you bring out the so-called real ring, or shut up. I am now the head of the Worthington family. I declare that Caius, due to his violent nature, harming his siblings, and even taking someone else's wife, causing damage to family's reputation, is expelled from the Worthington family from today!"

As soon as he spoke, the whole room was in an uproar. All the collateral family members, including Cliff, were stunned.

No one anticipated Emrys's ruthless move to take over the Worthington Group and expel Caius. Despite Caius's unpopularity, his contributions to the group's success were undeniable. As the Worthington Group thrived, all family members benefited. The large living room fell eerily silent, so quiet they could hear a pin drop.

At this moment, a clear and pleasant voice suddenly rang out, "Who said Caius doesn't have the real token?"

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone turned their eyes to Abigail.

Emrys's face twisted for a moment, and he coldly rebuked, "What business do you have here? Get lost, the Worthington family doesn't welcome you."

Abigail clung to Caius's arm, hiding behind him, pretending to be scared. "Oh, I'm so scared! Emrys, since you want evidence, I'll give it to you, but don't be so fierce!"

Emrys gave her a cold look. "What? Can you really produce the ring?"

"Of course." Abigail curved her lips, then took out a ring from her bag, identical to the one in Emrys's hand, except this ring sparkled with a crystal-clear light under the lamp.

The intricate and ancient pattern on the ring in Abigail's hand captivated everyone, exuding a sense of sanctity. Exclamations of surprise arose as the ring was compared to the one in Emrys's hand, revealing a clear difference and confirming its authenticity.

Caius raised an eyebrow in surprise. "How did this ring end up in your hands?"

He had almost immediately recognized that the ring in Abigail's hand was the one he had given to Michelle years ago.

Unexpectedly, it had ended up in Abigail's hands. Caius didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

But no matter what, this was a good thing for him.

He asked, "Cliff, Emrys, what do you have to say now?"
