Chapter 123 Only Charming for You
As a photographer feeling uninspired lately, he decided to visit a café to observe people and absorb the street vibes, hoping for a creative spark.
He hadn't expected to hit the jackpot today.
...
The moment he saw Abigail, ideas started flooding in.
Abigail was gorgeous, with delicate features and fair skin. Even in a simple dress, she exuded a unique charm—absolutely stunning.
He couldn't help but snap several photos and videos quickly.
When Abigail got up to leave, he instinctively wanted to follow her, hoping to get her contact info and ask if she'd model for him.
Unexpectedly, Olivia got up and followed her too.
Then the drama unfolded.
...
The video was crystal clear: Olivia had deliberately provoked Abigail, whispered something in her ear, and then shaken off Abigail's hand before jumping.
The video elicited a mix of disgust and fear from its viewers.
Olivia was ruthless!
Who would've thought she'd risk her life just to frame Abigail?
It was terrifying!
Olivia saw the customers and staff backing away from her, her face going pale.
She shook her head desperately, trying to explain, "It's not like that, this isn't true! Abigail must be framing me!"
"Caught red-handed, what else do you have to say? Olivia, are you leaving on your own, or should I call the cops?" Gregory spat.
Olivia's shoulders trembled, tears welling up as she shook her head, "It's not like that! Brother Gregory, you have to believe me..."
But the evidence was clear, and no amount of crying seemed convincing.
No one believed her anymore.
Seeing her look of despair, Abigail felt no sympathy, only irony.
If Gregory hadn't believed in her, and if she hadn't known someone was always filming, she might've been framed as the bad guy.
Abigail closed her eyes and said coldly, "If you like Gregory, compete with me openly. Why use such dirty tactics to frame me? Olivia, why would you think I'd let you hurt and humiliate me?"
Olivia suddenly laughed, her eyes filled with hatred, "If it weren't for you, I would've married him long ago!"
She resented the unfairness. Why did Abigail easily gain Gregory's favor while he wouldn't even look at her?
Abigail shook her head, not expecting Olivia to be so obsessed.
Gregory also didn't expect Olivia's mind to be so twisted. No wonder the doctor had said she had psychological issues.
Thinking about how she had almost caused Abigail to be misunderstood, his disgust for her deepened.
"Olivia, even if I hadn't met Abigail, I still wouldn't marry you. Take care of yourself," Gregory remarked.
He picked up Abigail and left the café without looking back at Olivia.
Watching him leave, Olivia suddenly felt a sense of panic.
She anxiously chased after him, choking up. "Brother Gregory, don't go, I know I was wrong."
But Gregory didn't even turn his head, as if he hadn't heard her at all.
After leaving the café, Gregory put Abigail in the car and sincerely apologized, "Abigail, I'm sorry for what you went through."
Abigail shook her head with a light smile. "Mr. White, I'm just glad you trusted me."
The sudden incident had caught her off guard. Even though she had been wary of Olivia's malice, she had still fallen into her trap.
If Gregory hadn't shown up in time, she might've been misunderstood.
Gregory held Abigail tightly, his eyes full of concern.
"Don't worry, I won't let Olivia off easy this time," he reassured her.
Hearing his promise, Abigail felt warmth in her heart.
Being cherished and protected felt amazing.
She had never experienced this before.
She wrapped her arms around Gregory's neck and leaned into his embrace, her eyes moist as she looked at him. "Mr. White, why are you so good?"
So good that she could hardly resist his charm.
Gregory chuckled and gently rubbed the top of her head, "You're my wife. It's my job to protect you."
"But not every husband does that, Mr. White, and you did," she replied.
Abigail smiled, lifting her face to peck Gregory on the cheek—soft and gentle, with a hint of her unique scent.
Gregory's heart raced, and his blood seemed to boil.
He tightened his arms around her, his deep eyes filled with desire.
Abigail sensed the danger and wanted to pull away, but Gregory held her tightly.
"Abigail..." he whispered.
Gregory's Adam's apple moved slightly, his gaze on her lips.
Realizing what he wanted, Abigail quickly covered her lips.
She sighed, "Mr. White, I just got scared, and all you can think about is this?"
Gregory reluctantly looked away, sighing, "I can't help it, your charm is too strong."
People often said he was cold and indifferent to women.
Only he knew that there was only one person in the world who could ignite his deepest desires.
Even a faint smile or a look of dependence from her almost made him lose control.
But he knew now wasn't the right time, so he had to suppress his desires.
Abigail's cheeks flushed, and her heart raced upon hearing Gregory's words.
She glared at Gregory, signaling him to stop talking nonsense.
Gregory chuckled and told the driver to take them to a nearby upscale restaurant for dinner.
After the afternoon's events, Abigail was starving.
When the food arrived, she happily started eating.
Gregory watched her silently. Her relaxed expression suggested that the afternoon's events hadn't affected her, which relieved him.
After the meal, Gregory called the waiter and ordered a dessert that Abigail liked.
Abigail took a small bite, feeling very satisfied, and gave Gregory an appreciative look.
Gregory was really considerate.
Meeting her eyes, Gregory smiled gently.
She was still a little girl at heart, simple-minded, and a small dessert could make her temporarily forget the pain.
Suddenly remembering something, Gregory asked, "Why did Olivia ask you to meet up? I thought you two didn't interact much."
Upon thinking of Olivia, Abigail's eyes darkened.
She glared at Gregory, the culprit, and snorted. "Why else? It's because of you, Mr. White. You should restrain your irresistible charm."
Gregory laughed and leaned in, giving Abigail a quick kiss on the lips, "Then I'll only show my charm to you from now on."
