Chapter 487 Turn off the light
Abigail looked at Gregory in surprise. "So soon?"
Although she was also looking forward to the wedding, she couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.
Gregory smiled and reached out to ruffle her hair, soothing her in a low voice, "Don't be nervous, I've got everything covered. You just need to be a beautiful bride."
Owing this wedding to Abigail, he reflected on how their initial marriage had been too rushed—just a paper agreement without even a ring. Having had little hope for the relationship, he believed Abigail had feelings for Roman and wouldn't fall in love with him. Fortunately, he had made the right choice back then.
Abigail blinked and nodded lightly, a smile in her eyes. "Alright, I'll leave everything to you. Make sure you prepare well."
Gregory pulled her into his arms and kissed her on the lips. "Okay, darling."
After wandering in the garden for a while, Gregory took Abigail back to the bedroom.
Just as they were about to take a bath and rest, Gregory suddenly paused and walked towards the study. "Wait here for me, I'll be right back."
Abigail stared at his hurried back, blinking in confusion. What was he up to?
Why so mysterious?
Shaking her head helplessly, she turned back to the room, took her clothes to the bathroom for a shower, and emerged a few minutes later to find Gregory had returned, holding a document.
Hearing the bathroom door open, Gregory looked up and waved at her with a smile. "Come here."
As soon as Abigail walked up to him, Gregory gently pulled her onto his lap.
Abigail exclaimed and wrapped her arms around Gregory's neck, asking helplessly, "Why are you being so nice to me? Are you hiding something from me?"
Gregory handed the document to a puzzled Abigail, who took it, looked at it, and then froze. "Isn't this our previous marriage agreement? Why did you bring this out?"
Gregory smiled slightly and tore up the marriage agreement right in front of Abigail.
Abigail exclaimed in surprise, looking at him in astonishment, "Why did you tear it up?"
Gregory said, "We are now truly married, we don't need this agreement anymore."
The agreement had a time limit and would soon be over.
Gregory said, "Even if there has to be a time limit, I hope it's for a lifetime."
Abigail was touched, hugging Gregory's neck tightly and kissing him on the cheek. "Yes, we will be together for a lifetime, never to be apart."
Feeling the softness on his face, Gregory's lips curved into a smile. He picked Abigail up and walked towards the bed.
Before Abigail could react, she was already on the bed.
She blinked, her clear eyes looking at Gregory in front of her, and deliberately asked, "What are you doing?"
"Guess," answered Gregory.
Abigail opened her arms to him, and Gregory immediately leaned over and kissed her on her rosy lips. "It's late, let's go to bed early."
Abigail understood the other meaning in Gregory's words, her face instantly turning red. "Turn off the lights."
Gregory nodded lightly. "Okay."
Becoming more spirited, Gregory turned off the lights, kissed Abigail's lips, and deepened the kiss bit by bit. His hands were busy too, removing her clothes one by one. Flushing and with her heartbeat quickening, Abigail could only smell Gregory's warm breath as her rationality was gradually submerged.
The next morning, Abigail successfully woke up late again.
Fortunately, she didn't need to go to the office now, so her time was free, otherwise, she would definitely be late for work.
She stretched lazily, slowly got out of bed, washed up briefly, and had the driver take her to the White Manor.
She hadn't visited Grace in a long time and wondered how she was doing.
As soon as Abigail walked in, the servants in the villa came out to greet her.
One of them said, "Please come in. Mrs. Grace White has been missing you."
Abigail smiled and nodded, asking, "How has she been lately? Has she been eating and sleeping on time?"
"Yes, ever since Mr. Worthington helped with the prescription, her health has improved a lot. She's getting more energetic," answered the servent.
Abigail felt relieved after hearing that. "That's good."
As they were talking, a window on the second floor was suddenly opened from the inside.
Grace heard someone talking, opened the window, and her eyes lit up. "Abigail is here? Come in and sit down, I was just thinking of visiting you today."
Abigail smiled and walked in, seeing Grace coming down the stairs and pulling her to sit on the sofa. "Let me take a look at you. Have you lost weight recently? Is Gregory not taking good care of you?"
