Chapter 355 My Hand is Sore

Abigail felt the burning heat through the fabric and shyly tried to pull her hand back, but Gregory held it firmly.

She looked up, meeting Gregory's eyes full of amusement. "Trying to run? It's not that easy."

Abigail blinked and pouted. "Honey, don't you love me anymore? I'm carrying your baby, and you still make me do this kind of physical work!"

Gregory laughed and pinched her cheek. "Stop pretending to be pitiful, I won't go easy on you."

Seeing Gregory's discomfort, Abigail bit her lip and gave up struggling. "Alright, just this once."

Gregory's thin lips curved slightly. "Okay, just once."

Abigail let out a heavy sigh of relief, deciding that if Gregory continued to be relentless, she would make him sleep in the study.

However, she forgot that Gregory was exceptionally talented in this area, continuing for over an hour.

"Are you done yet? My hand is sore!"

Gregory buried his face in her shoulder, planting a trail of kisses on her smooth, full skin, leaving a string of kiss marks.

He was still standing tall and firm, showing no signs of resting.

Hearing her, Gregory's voice was hoarse. "Almost there, baby, hang in there a bit longer."

She didn't know how much time had passed when suddenly a scorching heat spread through her palm.

Gregory took out a wet wipe and carefully cleaned her palm, not missing a single spot between her nails.

Abigail was already very tired, yawning continuously, her eyelids struggling to stay open.

Gregory pulled her into his arms from behind and whispered, "Sleep, goodnight."

Perhaps Gregory's embrace was too warm, Abigail quickly fell asleep and slept until dawn.

The next morning, as soon as Gregory opened his eyes, he was met with a pair of resentful eyes.

He was slightly stunned, but his body reacted first, pulling her into his arms.

"Good morning, honey."

"Gregory, it's all your fault. My hand is still sore."

Hearing this, Gregory took Abigail's slender hand and gently kissed it.

"My bad, I'll be more careful next time."

Abigail pouted. "You better keep your word, or next time I'll make you sleep in the study!"

Gregory nodded with a smile. "Alright, not just the study, even if you make me kneel, I won't complain. So, don't be mad, okay? Abigail is so beautiful, being angry won't look good on you."

Abigail was amused by his serious coaxing and pushed him. "I stopped being mad a long time ago. Get up quickly, I need to visit my mom today!"

Seeing her excited expression, Gregory couldn't help but feel a bit jealous.

But then he remembered that Michelle was Abigail's mom, and his jealousy dissipated.

Early that morning, Michelle woke up.

Caius came out of the study after his morning meeting, looking surprised. "Michelle, why are you up so early? Why not sleep a bit more?"

Michelle shook her head with a smile. "No, Abigail is coming to see me today. I want to make some sweet treats that girls love."

This was her first time having a daughter, so she naturally took it seriously.

She murmured, "I don't even know what girls like these days. I forgot to ask for her contact information yesterday."

Caius looked at her face, flushed with happiness, feeling a bit complicated.

He put his arm around Michelle's shoulder and whispered, "She'll definitely like whatever you make. Just make a few, don't overwork yourself."

"Yes, you're right. Can you go out and buy some more food? I'm afraid it won't be enough."

Caius instinctively wanted to refuse, but seeing Michelle so happy, he swallowed his words.

When Abigail arrived, the ordered desserts had just been delivered. Gregory and Quinn came along too.

Seeing Michelle, Abigail eagerly ran over and hugged her arm, her voice soft and sweet. "Mom!"

Michelle, unprepared, staggered back a couple of steps before steadying herself.

Meeting Abigail's bright eyes, Michelle's heart melted. "Abigail, you're here so early. I thought you would sleep in."

Abigail smiled sweetly. "I was so excited to see you that I couldn't sleep!"

If someone else had said this, Michelle would have thought they were trying to flatter her. But Abigail's eyes were sincere and focused, without any pretense. It made people want to believe her.

Michelle smiled, her cool fingertips gently tapping Abigail's nose. "Why is your mouth so sweet?"

Of course, she got it from Michelle, but Abigail only dared to admit it to herself. She knew Caius was always wary of her. If she exposed Michelle's identity, Caius wouldn't let her off easily.

Besides, Michelle's health was too fragile. Discovering the man she loved had been deceiving her would surely break her. For Michelle's sake, Abigail couldn't take that risk.

Michelle led Abigail into the dining room, taking out the freshly baked cookies from the oven and placing them in front of Abigail.

"Abigail, have you had breakfast? I made these myself, try them."

Abigail's eyes lit up, filled with surprise and delight.

She picked up a cookie and took a bite. The taste of cranberries spread in her mouth, almost bringing her to tears.

The taste was so familiar, just like in her memories.

Seeing her head down and not speaking, Michelle thought she didn't like it and quickly said, "Abigail, if you don't like it, don't force yourself. I had your dad order other desserts."

In the nearby living room, Caius felt a subtle emotion hearing the word "dad."

He turned to look at Abigail, feeling complicated.

He had always wanted a gentle daughter, a daughter of his and Michelle's, but due to Michelle's health, he didn't dare take the risk.

Now that his wish had come true, he couldn't openly acknowledge her.

Thinking of this, he stood up and walked over to Abigail, his eyes showing a tenderness even he didn't notice.

"Write down what you like to eat, and I'll have the chef make it next time."

Everyone was stunned.

Abigail looked up, her eyes wide with disbelief. "You're letting me come again?"

She thought Caius would plan to retaliate after what she did yesterday.

Caius sneered. "I'm an elder, why would I hold a grudge against you?"

Abigail stared at him for a long time, then suddenly smiled.

Caius didn't seem so annoying after all.
