Chapter 486 It's Time to Prepare for the Wedding

Abigail was slightly taken aback, then she sweetly curved her lips. "Gregory, you should eat more, you've worked hard too."

Being pregnant was tough, and so was taking care of someone who was. Gregory didn't get a break during that time, often bringing his work home to care for her. Consequently, many important meetings were shifted to online video conferences, and documents had to be delivered back and forth by Leo, which was always inconvenient. Despite this, Gregory never complained but actually enjoyed it.

Gregory smiled, feeling an inexplicable comfort in his heart. "It's not hard, you're very considerate, I don't need to spend much time taking care of you."

Smiling and nodding, Abigail quietly sprinkled chili on the tender beef. Thinking she was discreet, she averted her gaze as if nothing had happened. But Gregory had already noticed everything.

He said, "You can't eat this, it's too spicy, not suitable for you."

Abigail pouted in dissatisfaction, looking at him aggrievedly. "Just one bite, just one bite, really!"

"No." Gregory picked up the beef and directly put it in his own bowl.

Watching him eat with wide eyes, Abigail instantly felt unhappy. If she couldn't eat spicy food, what was the point of this barbecue?

Even Quinn couldn't stand it. "Let her have a bite."

Practically drooling, Abigail nodded heavily, staring at Gregory with hopeful eyes.

Facing those watery, moist eyes, Gregory's heart softened a bit. "Fine, but only a little, not too much."

Nodding quickly, afraid Gregory would change his mind, Abigail's eyes lit up. Swiftly placing all the meat she wanted on the grill and sprinkling chili on it, she filled her bowl to the brim and ate to her heart's content.

Gregory found it both amusing and helpless, had he been neglecting her before?

After dinner, Gregory instructed the servant to bring out the cups and made coffee for everyone, the light white mist adding a layer of mysterious fog to his stern face and creating an indescribable sense of haziness.

Abigail propped her chin, quietly watching him.

Gregory looked up, just in time to meet Abigail's direct and undisguised gaze.

He paused, then chuckled softly, handing the first cup of coffee to her. "Try it."

Abigail picked up the cup, gently blew on it, and took a small sip once it wasn't too hot. The faint coffee aroma spread in her mouth, dispelling some of the greasiness from the barbecue.

She put down the cup and praised Gregory, "It's good."

Quinn also took a sip and nodded in approval. "Not bad. By the way, the Worthington Group is preparing a new project recently, interested in joining?"

Hearing Quinn's words, Gregory and Henry both looked up, their eyes showing some interest. "What project? Tell us about it."

Quinn briefly explained the project and added, "I think this project has great potential, and the government's policies in the past two years have been supporting the development of emerging industries, so it's worth a try."

Lowering his eyes in thought, Gregory didn't answer immediately. Instead, Henry, always acting on his instincts, was very interested in the project. Hearing Quinn mention it, his curiosity was piqued.

Moreover, collaborating with the Worthington Group would benefit both the Clark Group and the company he founded, it was practically tailor-made for him.

So, without thinking, he agreed. "I think this project is good, I'm in."

Clinking glasses with Henry, Quinn then turned to Gregory, who, being more cautious, raised several questions about the project's risks and asked Quinn to return with a detailed plan. Understanding Gregory's meticulous nature, Quinn naturally agreed.

Abigail, on the other hand, felt a headache whenever she heard words like business or project, so she pulled Tricia aside to chat.

Time passed unknowingly, and it was already past ten at night.

Quinn remembered Maeve waiting at home and was the first to get up. "It's getting late, I should head back."

Henry also stood up. "We should go too, Tricia needs rest."

Gregory nodded, holding Abigail's hand, and saw them off together.

After the cars drove away, Gregory suggested, "Shall we take a walk in the garden?"

Abigail rubbed her full stomach and nodded lightly. "Sure."

Gregory chuckled, taking her for a walk in the garden. The moonlight was beautiful tonight, bright and clear, hanging high in the sky, giving an indescribable sense of purity, calming the heart.

As they walked, he suddenly remembered something and said to Abigail, "It's time to start planning our wedding."
