Chapter 133 Relying

The moment Abigail stepped out of the Martin family’s door, she felt as if all her strength had left her. Her legs gave way, and she almost collapsed to the ground.

Fortunately, Gregory was quick to react. He caught her by the waist and pulled her into his arms.

"Abigail, are you okay?" Gregory asked worriedly.

Abigail's face was pale, and her eyes were filled with pain and helplessness.

But in response to Gregory's question, she slowly shook her head and said, "I'm fine, Mr. White. What are you doing here?"

Seeing her trying to be strong, Gregory felt even more heartbroken.

Abigail was always like this, no matter how much grievance she felt, she habitually bore it alone.

He sighed helplessly and said softly, "Jason texted me, saying you seemed off, so I rushed over. Luckily, I made it in time."

His tone was filled with relief.

When he entered the Martin family’s house and saw the anger in David's eyes as he raised his hand to slap Abigail, his breath almost stopped.

Fortunately, Abigail wasn't hurt at all. Otherwise, the Martin family wouldn't have been let off so easily.

Just making them move out was too lenient!

Abigail's stiff body slowly relaxed as she leaned into Gregory's arms, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face.

After enduring for so many years, she had finally broken free from the Martin family.

From now on, she would have nothing to do with David.

She just didn't know if Michelle would blame her.

Gregory knew she was holding back her emotions, so he quietly waited for her to vent, gently stroking her soft hair with his warm hand.

After a long while, Abigail finally lifted her face from his chest and smiled again. "Mr. White, thank you."

Gregory's broad chest provided her with a strong sense of security, reassuring her that she was no longer alone.

Gregory raised his hand and gently wiped away the tear stains at the corner of her eyes with his thumb, his deep eyes full of tenderness.

"Don't be sad, you still have me," Gregory said. No matter when or what happened, he would always stand firmly by Abigail's side.

A warm feeling surged through Abigail's heart, and she smiled at him, "I'm fine. I won't be sad for those bad people anymore. I just feel it's unfair for my mom."

Thinking of David and Kayla insulting Michelle, she couldn't suppress the anger in her heart.

A cold glint flashed in Gregory's eyes as well. "Just making them move out is too lenient."

He quickly formulated a plan but chose not to reveal it to Abigail immediately, intending to surprise her later.

After getting in the car, Gregory pulled her back into his arms and kissed her on the lips.

Abigail was stunned for a moment, then her cheeks flushed slightly. "What are you doing?"

Gregory could tell what she was thinking with just one look and couldn't help but chuckle, saying, "Just a kiss."

She would never admit that she almost thought Gregory would hold her and kiss her endlessly like before.

Seeing her shyness, Gregory stopped teasing her and kissed her on the forehead. This kiss was devoid of any trace of desire, offering only endless tenderness.

...

In the evening, Jessica returned home and was stunned to find the yard in a mess.

She pulled over a servant who was busy cleaning up and asked, "What happened here?"

The servant, still trembling, glanced toward the living room and whispered, "Abigail visited today and had an argument with Mr. and Mrs. Martin. Now they are arguing inside."

Jessica was stunned for a moment and quickened her pace into the living room.

As soon as she walked in, she saw David and Kayla arguing endlessly.

"It's all your fault. I told you before that Abigail is disrespectful to us. Now the shares are gone, and she wants to kick us out of the house! What do we do now?" Kayla accused.

"Are you done? You've said the same thing dozens of times. Aren't you tired?" he asked impatiently.

"Now you find me annoying? Are you still thinking about Michelle? Answer me!" Kayla demanded.

At the mention of Michelle's name, the veins on David's forehead throbbed, and he violently shook off Kayla's hand. "Enough! What right do you have to mention her name?"

Kayla staggered and almost fell after being pushed away. She couldn't help but sneer, "So I was right, wasn't I? You've never gotten over Michelle. Too bad she never cared about you. Maybe Abigail isn't even yours..."

The more Kayla spoke, the more outrageous she became.

Jessica quickly went over and covered her mouth. "Mom, please stop talking! What exactly happened?"

As soon as Kayla saw Jessica, tears started to fall.

She threw herself into Jessica's arms and recounted the day's events in detail.

"We should have kicked Abigail out long ago!" Kayla barked.

Jessica felt conflicted and looked at David, asking, "Dad, is what Mom said true? Is Abigail really going to kick us all out?"

David's face was gloomy, and he didn't speak, which was a tacit acknowledgment.

Jessica's heart sank. 'Has this day finally come?'

From the moment she learned Michelle had left a will for Abigail, she knew this day would come.

For this reason, after moving into the Martin family, she had been secretly targeting Abigail and consistently speaking ill of her to David, leading him to be thoroughly disappointed in her.

She hoped David would find a way to seize the inheritance, preferably kicking Abigail out of the house.

The idea of making Abigail sign the share transfer agreement three years ago had been hers!

But she hadn't expect David to be so useless. Not only had he failed to seize the inheritance, but he had also ended up being the one kicked out.

Jessica was furious and wanted to confront Abigail, but when she took out her phone, she remembered that Abigail had already blocked her!

The anger in her chest seethed with increasing intensity, almost uncontrollable, as if it would erupt at any moment.

Jessica took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down, and called Roman.

Roman quickly answered, his voice gentle. "Jessica, it's so late. What's the matter?"

The moment he heard her crying, Roman panicked instantly.

"Jessica, where are you? I'll come to you," Roman said.

"Roman, I didn't mean to bother you, but I have no other choice. Abigail came to my house today and said she wants to kick my parents and me out," Jessica said.

As soon as Roman heard this, he jumped out of bed, put on his coat, and rushed out. "Jessica, wait for me. I'll be right there!"
