Chapter 467 The Lowest Family Status

The employees cheered upon hearing the news of the holiday, exclaiming excitedly, "Thank you, Mrs. White, you are the kindest, most gentle, and generous person we've ever met..."

Seeing that they were getting more and more exaggerated, Abigail quickly interrupted, displeased, "Stop. If you keep talking nonsense, there won't be any holiday today."

Hearing this, everyone quickly shut their mouths, laughing as they left. Abigail chuckled and shook her head, then called the driver to come pick her up.

When Abigail got in the car, the driver asked, "Mrs. White, are you going straight home?"

Abigail pondered for a moment and then instructed, "Let's go to the White Manor first."

Caius and Michelle were still in Aramore and were probably at the White Manor now.

She hadn't visited Grace in a long time either.

"Alright." The driver quickly turned the car around, started the engine, and headed towards the White Manor.

Half an hour later, the car stopped at the entrance of the White Manor. The driver said to Abigail, "Mrs. White, we've arrived."

Abigail nodded and thanked the driver before getting out of the car and walking inside.

The busy servants in the White Manor's yard saw Abigail and greeted her with smiles.

One of them said, "Mrs. Abigail White, are you here to see Mrs. Grace White? I'll go notify her right away; she was just talking about you."

Abigail smiled as she walked inside, feeling a warmth in her heart. "That means we are really in sync. As soon as she thought of me, I came to see her."

The servant beamed with joy and agreed, "Exactly. When I worked for other families, I never had a good relationship with anyone, but you and Mrs. Grace White are like mother and daughter."

As they spoke, they entered the living room together. The servant said to Grace, who was making tea, "Ma'am, Mrs. Abigail White is here to see you."

Grace paused her tea-making and quickly waved to Abigail. "Abigail, you're here? Come over, you haven't visited me in a long time. How come you have time today?"

Abigail ran over and sat next to Grace, playfully saying, "Well, I've been busy lately. As soon as I had time, I came to see you."

Grace answered,, "Oh, you sweet talker. Stay for lunch today. I'll have the chef prepare more of your favorite dishes. Your parents are here too."

As she spoke, Michelle and Caius came down the stairs hand in hand from the second floor.

Seeing Abigail, Michelle's eyes lit up, and she let go of Caius's hand, walking down quickly. "Abigail, what brings you here?"

"Of course, I'm here to see how you're doing! How has Dad been behaving these days? Has he been bullying you?" Abigail threw herself into Michelle's arms, gently nuzzling her, showing her dependence.

Following closely behind, Caius heard Abigail badmouthing him as soon as he came downstairs and was somewhat displeased.

He said, "Abigail, are you asking for trouble? Is that how you talk about your father?"

The usually mature and steady man suddenly turned cold, his serious and stern demeanor quite intimidating.

But Abigail wasn't fazed at all. Instead, she straightened her back and glared back. "If you dare to mess with me, Mom will make sure you don't get to sleep in her bed for half a month!"

"You!" Caius gritted his teeth in anger. "You're ruthless!"

Abigail always won their arguments, pinpointing his weakness every time. He couldn't go a day, let alone half a month, without holding Michelle to sleep; the thought was unimaginable!

Watching Abigail and Caius bicker, Michelle silently held her forehead. How could Caius, who was usually so mature and steady, turn into a different person when he encountered Abigail?

In family dynamics, parents usually have more say and control.

But in Caius's case, it was the opposite. Abigail dominated Caius, clearly having the upper hand.

Abigail put her hands on her hips and raised her eyebrows smugly at Michelle, signaling her to take note. Sometimes men, especially arrogant ones like Caius, need to be put in their place.

Michelle had been too good-natured and soft, which allowed Caius to take the lead.

Although Michelle didn't mind, Abigail always had to think seriously on her behalf.

Seeing Abigail giving Michelle a look, Caius had a bad feeling and quickly pulled Michelle into his arms, warning her in a low voice, "Behave yourself and stop corrupting Michelle. Don't you have a husband? Go find your husband!"

Abigail snorted. "Gregory is much more sensible than you. He always puts me first and never deceives me, unlike you."

Caius clenched his fists, gritting his teeth in anger, but still tried to control himself. He looked at Michelle and asked, "Honey, can I hit Abigail?"

He couldn't take it anymore; other people's daughters cared about their fathers, but his daughter always caused trouble and never obeyed. If he didn't give her a beating, he'd explode with anger!

Michelle glared at him. "If you dare to lay a finger on Abigail, you'll be sleeping in the study for a month."

Caius fell silent; his status in the family had hit rock bottom.
