Chapter 350 If You Don't Want to Sleep, Do Something Else

In the following days, Gregory kept Abigail at home while he vanished to unknown places. Bored, Abigail asked Quinn for a computer.

After watching a show, she joined a video conference to hear her subordinates' reports. Despite her absence, the company ran smoothly.

No one disturbed Abigail unless necessary. Seeing her rosy face on the screen, many employees envied her, wondering when they might travel like her.

Seeing everyone looking so gloomy, Abigail couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong? Is there something wrong with the company?"

Everyone shook their heads repeatedly. "No, no, absolutely not!"

"It's just that there have been too many orders recently. The partners we chose before are all small companies, and now they can't keep up with the supply."

Abigail pondered for a moment and instructed, "Lily, go and compile a list of well-known suppliers in Aramore and send it to my email."

"Yes."

Lily nodded in agreement and quickly made a note in her notebook.

Halfway through the meeting, Gregory walked in, holding a glass of milk.

"Darling, drink the milk quickly and go to bed early tonight."

Gregory's deep voice held a gentle tone that made everyone perk up. On the screen, a slender hand appeared, offering Abigail a glass of milk. Her serious expression instantly turned into a radiant smile, and her eyes sparkled brightly.

Abigail opened her arms towards him, her mouth curving upwards uncontrollably. "Honey, you're back!"

Gregory sat on the sofa, pulling her onto his lap and holding her in his arms.

"How did you behave at home today?"

"Of course, I spent the rest of the time drawing. I only had the meeting because they had work issues to discuss with me!"

Ever since learning that Abigail was pregnant, Gregory had forbidden her from using her phone too much, worried that radiation would affect her health.

He even banned many spicy foods.

Hearing this, Gregory smiled in satisfaction. "Drink the milk quickly, and then we'll go for a walk and come back to rest."

"Do we really have to go to bed so early? What if I can't sleep?"

It was only nine o'clock, the time when people were most energetic!

Gregory sighed helplessly, lowered his voice, and whispered in Abigail's ear, "You don't want to sleep early; it seems you wanna do something else?"

His clear and deep voice, along with the warm breath he exhaled, sprayed onto the most sensitive skin behind Abigail's ear.

Abigail instinctively shrank her neck and glared at Gregory. "What do you want to do? I'm pregnant now! Beast, rogue."

Gregory raised an eyebrow slightly. "I was talking about telling you a story. What was Abigail thinking?"

Abigail was stunned/ "A story?"

Gregory nodded with a smile and took out a storybook from behind him. "Yes, what else? Or was Abigail expecting something else to happen?"

Abigail's eyelids twitched, and she quickly raised her voice. "No, I wasn't, don't talk nonsense!"

Facing Gregory's teasing eyes, a blush slowly crept up Abigail's cheeks.

This made Gregory laugh. "Alright, I won't tease you anymore. Don't you still have work to do? I'll stay with you."

Only then did Abigail remember that she hadn't turned off the computer.

Didn't that mean everyone saw her conversation with Gregory just now?

Abigail struggled out of Gregory's arms and returned to the computer, only to see a bunch of stunned faces.

Her cheeks turned red, and she cleared her throat. "That's it for today's meeting. Remember to send everything I asked for to my email. That's all."

With that, she quickly closed the computer.

In the DM conference room, everyone looked at the now black screen, exchanging glances.

Although they knew Gregory and Abigail had a good relationship, they never expected it to this extent.

In the end, everyone left the conference room in shock.

Abigail glared at Gregory, her cheeks flushed.

"It's all your fault; my image is completely ruined!"

Gregory chuckled and pulled her into his arms. "Alright, Abigail, don't be mad. They saw it, so what? They wouldn't dare say anything."

Abigail was still pouting, pushing his hand away and turning her back to him, showing she didn't want to talk to him.

Gregory patiently coaxed, "Abigail, how about you get back at me during my meeting?"

Abigail said, "Gregory! Don't bring this up again!"

"Okay, I won't." Gregory's eyes showed a hint of helplessness.

Abigail was still so shy.

So adorable!

After tidying up a bit, Gregory held Abigail and lay back on the bed to rest.

Abigail leaned against him, poking his firm chest with her finger. "Orson asked me out tomorrow; he seems to have something to give me."

"When did you and Orson get so close?" Gregory teased.

Abigail sighed and laughed. "He's my cousin."

"Even a cousin is not okay. Anyone who takes my wife's attention away from me is a competitor."

Gregory grabbed Abigail's playful hand and kissed it gently, his eyes deep and tender.

Hearing his sudden sweet words, a blush once again crept up Abigail's cheeks.

She explained softly, "Orson wants to apologize for not taking care of me at the last party. I thought, since we are at least related by blood and I don't dislike him, it's okay to meet."

Hearing this, Gregory nodded slightly. "Yes, you're right, but I have to go to the Frost family tomorrow, so I can't go with you."

"It's okay, Quinn will arrange a driver for me." Abigail smiled indifferently.

After she finished speaking, Gregory's face suddenly moved closer, his eyes scrutinizing.

Abigail blinked. "What's wrong?"

Gregory smiled and rubbed her head. "Abigail, you're trusting Quinn more and more."

Abigail was stunned, then realized.

In fact, Abigail had already accepted his identity in her heart.

She pursed her lips and said, "Actually, I've thought about it. Having a brother isn't a bad thing."

When she was young, she and Michelle depended on each other, and David's presence was meaningless to her.

At that time, she fantasized about having a brother or sister.

Now, her childhood dream had finally come true, and she should be grateful for God's gift.

Gregory, feeling sorry for her, pulled her back into his arms, gently rubbing his chin on the top of her head, and coaxed softly, "Yes, Abigail will have more and more love in the future. No matter what happens, I'll always be by your side."

"Okay!"

Abigail nodded heavily, leaning against Gregory and soon falling asleep.

The next morning, after getting up and having a simple breakfast, Abigail went out.

She kept her head down, focused on her phone, handling work in the car, not noticing a car following them.

As the driver was about to turn, the car behind showed no signs of stopping and crashed straight into them.

The car shook violently, Abigail's hand slipped, and her phone fell to the floor. Her body uncontrollably lurched forward, and her forehead hit the back of the front passenger seat.
