Chapter 345 Mother and Daughter Reunion

Three days later, Darwin's 80th birthday party at Worthington Mansion attracted many of Aerilon's most famous and influential people, creating a grand spectacle.

The Worthington family had cleared out the first floor and the yard for the event, with crystal chandeliers emitting a dazzling and radiant glow.

The expensive and exquisite decor exuded a unique, luxurious, and elegant style.

Abigail chose a low-key black evening gown, the soft fabric outlining her perfectly sculpted figure. The slit on the right side reached up to her thigh, revealing her slender legs as she walked, making it hard for people to look away.

Three tall men in sharp suits, with god-like features, instantly drew everyone's attention.

"Who are these men? They're so handsome!"

"This is definitely a visual feast. Not only are they handsome, but each has a unique style."

"Who's the woman in the middle? Being protected by three such high-quality men, she must be so lucky!"

"Which wealthy family is she from? Why have I never seen her before?"

Their appearance caused quite a stir, lively and bustling.

Soon, someone recognized one of them. "Isn't the one on the right Quinn, the Worthington family's illegitimate son? Can he attend such a significant event?"

"Don't you know? Quinn, although an illegitimate son, is highly valued by Darwin."

"But it's a pity that Quinn has no interest in inheriting the family business. I heard he's now a famous psychologist in the country!"

Stepping out, Emrys and Cassian of the Worthington family saw Quinn stealing all the attention. Their faces soured with barely concealed anger. Despite their long preparations, Quinn had taken the spotlight. They masked their resentment, not wanting to disgrace the Worthington name.

So, a group of people walked up to Quinn, smiling and greeting him, "Quinn, you're here? Are these your friends? Come on in."

"Quinn, it's been a long time. You're looking more handsome than ever."

"Mr. Darwin Worthington is resting upstairs. You can go see him; he's been wanting to see you."

Everyone kept talking, looking very enthusiastic.

In contrast, Quinn was much colder.

He just nodded slightly, greeted them, and then led Abigail into the banquet hall.

Watching him leave, Marlowe and Linnea gritted their teeth in disdain. What was there to be proud of? He was just an illegitimate son, relying on Darwin's favor to look down on them, the elders, with no manners at all.

On the other side, Abigail watched Quinn with worried eyes. She could clearly sense his low and irritable mood.

"Are you okay? Those people are just jealous of you; you don't need to take it to heart."

Quinn didn't care about Emrys and Cassian, but Abigail's concern touched his heart. The warmth spread through his body, enveloping him in a comforting embrace and filling him with a sense of satisfaction he had never felt before.

His usually gloomy eyes quickly flashed with a bright light. "Yes, I know. Thank you, Abigail."

Although Abigail hadn't called him brother yet, he was already very satisfied. Maintaining the current state was enough; he didn't dare ask for more.

"This is my first time at the Worthington family. It's just as full of intrigue and conflict as the rumors say!" Henry couldn't help but sigh.

Quinn nodded. Without internal conflict, it wouldn't be the Worthington family.

He looked apologetically at Abigail. "I'll go upstairs to see Grandpa first. You guys wait here."

Darwin's health was poor, and he always resented Caius's wife. Caius giving up the Worthington family inheritance for Michelle had always been a sore spot for Darwin. If he suddenly discovered that Abigail was Michelle's daughter, it would be bad for her.

Abigail also knew her identity was awkward, so she smiled and nodded. "It's okay, you go ahead."

Quinn looked deeply at Gregory and instructed, "Take care of her. I'll be back soon."

Gregory nodded. "Don't worry."

As long as he was there, no one would dare harm Abigail.

Satisfied with his promise, Quinn finally went upstairs.

The group found an inconspicuous spot and chatted while observing their surroundings. Abigail scanned the banquet hall for Michelle but saw no sign of her, leaving her disappointed.

Gregory noticed her low spirits, pulled her into his embrace, and gently patted her shoulder."Don't worry, just wait a bit longer."

At Darwin's important 80th birthday party, they were sure to appear.

Abigail placed her hand on Gregory's, nodding slightly, but her heart was pounding with unease.

She both anticipated and feared reuniting with Michelle, afraid that Michelle wouldn't acknowledge her.

While she was feeling anxious, a commotion came from outside the door.

Abigail and Gregory instinctively turned towards the door and were stunned. A man and woman, surrounded by the crowd, walked in slowly. The man, with striking features and a commanding presence, looked much younger than his nearly fifty years. The petite woman beside him, delicate and beautiful, radiated charm even in a simple white chiffon dress.

What shocked them was that the woman's face was identical to Michelle's. Abigail's breath caught, and her hand trembled in Gregory's. It was her—Michelle, who had been with her for fifteen years!

She couldn't be mistaken.

"Mr. White, do you see? It's really her, it's really her!"

Abigail's voice trembled with excitement, tinged with a bit of choking.

Gregory looked at Michelle with a complex expression and responded in a low voice, "I see, it really is her."

Abigail gripped Gregory's hand tightly, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face.

She used all her strength to restrain the urge to rush forward and hug Michelle.
