Chapter 372 Why Go to Bed? I Think the Couch is Just Fine!
Tricia stood there dumbfounded, unable to snap out of it for a long time.
Henry, holding a bouquet of bright red roses, slowly walked towards her.
"Tricia, will you be my girlfriend?"
Tricia looked up in a daze, feeling like everything in front of her was a dream, surreal.
"When did you start preparing this?"
Henry scratched his head and said, "Right after you left. I wanted to surprise you."
Tricia was about to say something when Henry continued, "I used to be a playboy, constantly changing women and indulging in a life of debauchery. I thought that was my fate until I met you. Tricia, once I realized my feelings, I cut ties with them. I can't change my past, but I promise you'll be the only woman in my life from now on. I'll do everything to protect you and our child. Please give me a chance."
Hearing his sincere confession, Tricia's tears started to fall.
She was almost choked with sobs, overwhelmed with emotion.
But fortunately, she still had a bit of rationality left. She sniffled and asked, "Are you really sure? I have many flaws, a bad temper, and I'm not worthy of you. I'm not even good at my job."
Henry smiled, his face showing more seriousness and tenderness.
He took a step forward, his gaze firm and solemn. "I love you, so in my eyes, all your flaws are strengths."
Hearing this, Tricia's tears flowed even more. She had planned to ask Henry for more time, but she couldn't help wanting to say yes!
She hastily wiped her tears and looked to Abigail for help.
However, Abigail just shrugged and spread her hands, with a look of "I can't help you."
Tricia was speechless.
What happened to friends helping each other?
Tricia sniffled, forced herself to calm down, and said to Henry, "I can't say yes to you right now."
Henry's face turned pale instantly, a bit at a loss. "Why? Is there something I didn't do well enough?"
It was his first time setting up such a big arrangement to confess to someone!
Tricia shook her head, breaking into a smile through her tears. "No, you did great, but I think everything happened too suddenly. I need time to process it. Give me some time to think it over."
Hearing this, Henry quietly sighed in relief. It wasn't a direct rejection, so he could wait a bit longer. Though he readily agreed, he couldn't help feeling disappointed after all the effort he put into his confession.
Just then, Tricia suddenly stepped forward, took the flowers from his arms, and blushed. "Aren't these for me? I'll take them."
After saying that, she didn't even bother to pick up the shopping bags and ran back to her room.
Henry looked at the flowers that were taken away, and couldn't help but smile.
Abigail and Gregory exchanged a glance and couldn't help but laugh.
Even Quinn's usually cold and indifferent face showed a bit of warmth and softness.
He stepped forward, patted Henry on the shoulder. "What are you standing here for? You set all this up, remember to clean it up."
Henry nodded with a silly smile. "Don't worry, I'll take care of it."
He felt like he had endless energy now!
After Abigail and Gregory returned to their room, Abigail leaned into Gregory's arms, feeling extremely happy.
"It's so nice. Seeing Tricia so happy makes me happy too."
Gregory sat on the couch, moved her head to his lap, and gently ran his fingers through her thick, black hair, smiling.
"Yeah, no one expected such a turn of events."
Abigail turned to face Gregory, wrapping her arms around his waist.
The man had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, and everywhere she touched was lean muscle.
She rubbed her cheek against his abdomen and smiled. "Gregory, I feel so happy now. It seems like everything that has happened since we came to Aerilon has been good."
Gregory seemed a bit distracted.
As Abigail spoke, her breath passed through his shirt and directly onto his skin, making his waist and abdomen tighten, and his muscles tense up.
Not hearing his response for a while, Abigail blinked and looked up, meeting his deep eyes.
Abigail instinctively sensed a bit of danger and poked his chest with her fair finger. "Why aren't you talking?"
This action seemed to trigger something, and Gregory suddenly groaned, tightly gripping Abigail's hand.
"Don't move."
Abigail's eyes shifted slightly, as if realizing something, a mischievous light flashing in her eyes.
"Gregory, why are you always thinking about sex? There's a baby in my belly."
Gregory's temple twitched in helplessness. Abigail wasn't overestimating his self-control; she knew her pregnancy kept her safe and deliberately teased him.
She sat up from Gregory's lap, changed her position, and sat directly on his lap, wrapping her slender, fair arms around his neck.
"Don't you want it at all?"
Looking at her charming face so close, Gregory suddenly felt a rush of heat and excitement.
Even his voice became a bit hoarse. "Abigail, don't move!"
Abigail blinked her innocent, clear eyes. "What can you do to me?"
As she spoke, she reached out her finger, caressing his face, collarbone, and chest.
Gregory's Adam's apple moved slightly, and he suddenly picked her up and walked towards the bed.
Abigail, as if completely unaware of the danger, continued to speak boldly, "Why go to the bed? I think the couch is just fine!"
