Chapter 206 Do You Think I Care About Your Money?

In the end, Gregory had no choice but to reluctantly agree to Abigail's request.

But before they headed upstairs, Gregory turned off the engine, unbuckled his seatbelt, got out of the car, and walked over to Abigail.

He said to Tricia, "Miss Dixon, I need to talk to Abigail alone."

"I get it, you two go ahead and chat. I won't butt in!" Tricia was quick to catch on and didn't wait for Abigail's nod before heading upstairs.

Abigail stood there, looking up at Gregory with a puzzled look. "Mr. White, what do you want to say to me?"

Staring into her clear, innocent eyes, Gregory's expression suddenly turned sour. "Is Tricia the only one you care about?"

Abigail was taken aback for a moment, then realized Gregory was jealous.

She chuckled softly, her tone full of helplessness. "Mr. White, man, your jealousy is so thick, it's practically hanging in the air."

"It's all your fault, you heartless little thing. You get a good friend and forget all about me." Gregory didn't see anything wrong with his jealousy.

"Tricia just went through a breakup. I gotta stick with her tonight, or I'm worried she might do something dumb," Abigail patiently explained.

As she spoke, she extended her pinky finger, gently tickling Gregory's palm.

Gregory felt a tingling sensation in his palm, a soft and numbing touch.

He turned his hand over and tightly held Abigail's soft and delicate hand in his palm, slowly leaning down and bringing his cheek close to hers. "Mrs. White, sweet words won't cut it. How about some real action?"

Looking at Gregory's refined profile, Abigail's eyes curved as she gently kissed the corner of his lips.

Receiving Abigail's kiss, Gregory couldn't help but smile slightly.

His large, warm palm gently rubbed the top of Abigail's head. "Go on up, and remember to get some rest tonight."

Abigail stood still, her eyes filled with reluctance.

In fact, she didn't want to be apart from Gregory either.

Since they got married, they had hardly ever been apart except for work and social engagements.

Abigail bit her lip, suddenly stood on tiptoe, and kissed Gregory's thin lips again.

The soft and warm touch came again, and Gregory only hesitated for a moment before his body instinctively responded.

He wrapped his arms around Abigail's slender and soft waist, pulling her tightly into his embrace.

With his other hand, he held the back of her head, not allowing her to break free or retreat.

As Abigail kissed him, Gregory felt his heart swell, as if something was filling it up.

He held Abigail's head with one hand and her waist with the other, the temperature between their lips and teeth rising continuously.

The kiss deepened, strong and domineering.

Abigail's slender arms wrapped around his neck, her toes slightly raised, earnestly responding to his passionate kiss.

It wasn't until they were both out of breath that Gregory finally let her go.

Their bodies were pressed tightly together, neither willing to let go first.

Gregory's eyes lowered slightly as their foreheads met, his gaze intense and filled with pure desire, completely unguarded, as if it might spill over any moment.

Abigail glanced at him and felt a rush of heat, quickly looking away.

She had no doubt that if they kept this up, Gregory would scoop her up and carry her back without a second thought.

"Alright, I should go up," Abigail said.

"Okay," Gregory replied in a low voice, but his hand on Abigail's waist didn't budge.

He was so close that his warm breath brushed against Abigail's cheek, causing an indescribable warmth.

Abigail blushed, pushed against Gregory's chest with both hands, and this time managed to push him away. "Then I'm going?"

"Okay, go on up." Gregory waved at her, standing there, watching her leave.

It wasn't until the elevator doors closed and Abigail's figure disappeared that he returned to the car and drove away from the complex.

Abigail went upstairs and found that Tricia had left the door open for her. She quickly went in, changed into her usual slippers, and walked inside.

Suddenly, she heard a muffled sobbing sound, filled with deep sadness and pain.

Abigail hurried to Tricia's room and found her lying on the bed, crying, gripping her phone tightly with white knuckles.

Whatever the person on the other end of the line said, Tricia suddenly became extremely agitated.

"Tom, you jerk! This is your child, and you think you can just walk away?"

"I never meant to trap you with the kid, but you can't just dump me out of the blue!"

"Money? Do you think I care about your money? Take your damn money and get lost, you bastard!"

After venting, Tricia didn't give Tom a chance to explain or argue, and directly hung up the phone.

When she came to her senses, she realized that Abigail had unknowingly come in.

She quickly wiped the tears from her face, sniffed, and asked, "You're back? Mr. White left?"

Abigail nodded. "Yeah, he left. Are you okay?"

Tricia tossed her phone away, seething with anger like a volcano about to blow. Despite that, she didn't want Abigail to fret, so she fought to contain it.

Tricia replied, "I'm fine, don't worry. We have work tomorrow. Go take a shower and rest."

Abigail looked at her face for a while. She knew her so well that she could tell at a glance that she was pretending to be strong.

Abigail sighed silently in her heart, slowly sat on the edge of the bed, and hugged Tricia, gently patting her back.

Her voice was soft, filled with deep concern. "Tricia, don't bottle up your bad feelings. I'm not a random person; you don't have to fake being tough around me."

With just one sentence, Tricia burst into tears.

Tricia could no longer hold back her emotions, tightly hugging Abigail and crying loudly.

"Abigail, am I really that bad? Why doesn't Tom dig me? What did I mess up? Why'd he just up and split like that?"

Listening to Tricia's words, Abigail felt heartbroken. She gently stroked her, comforting her, "Nah, Tricia's the bomb. It's Tom who doesn't know how to appreciate you."

"But I'm pregnant. I'm carrying his child. Even if he doesn't like me, does he not want the child either?" Tricia asked.

Leaning against Abigail, Tricia felt more and more upset. Although she had dated many times before, she had never felt such heartache as she did now!
