Chapter 341 I Have a Wife, You Don't

Four hours later, the plane arrived at Aerilon Airport.

Quinn pushed the luggage cart out, and Abigail, seeing this, frowned slightly. "Is the luggage that heavy? Can you manage it alone? How about I help you?"

"No need, I can handle this much." Quinn quickly dodged Abigail's outstretched hand, forcing a stiff smile. "Leave this to us guys. I've already arranged for a car; it's waiting outside."

Relieved to see Quinn was fine, Abigail walked away. His icy demeanor melted into a tender smile—she cared about him.

Witnessing everything, Henry covered his face and quickly distanced himself from Quinn, as if afraid of catching something.

The group took a car to a private villa area.

Quinn explained, "This is my private property. You all can stay here for now. I'll go gather information from the Worthington family."

Henry asked in confusion, "Isn't Caius with the Worthington family?"

Quinn pursed his lips and shook his head. "Ever since he resigned from his position as the heir of the Worthington family, he and his wife have gone into hiding. My two uncles have sent many people to investigate, but they haven't found any trace of him."

Hearing this, Henry couldn't help but marvel, "I didn't expect the former heir of the Worthington family to be such a romantic, giving up the family business for love!"

They knew the Worthingtons' status well. Aerilon had four prominent families: the Worthingtons, Clarks, Rainiers, and Wrens, plus the elusive Frosts. As the leading family, the Worthingtons held significant influence in Capitise. Yet Caius gave it all up without hesitation—truly a romantic!

Quinn glanced at Abigail but didn't respond.

The situation was complicated. They didn't know where Caius and Michelle were, and searching unfamiliar territory was tough. Plus, they weren't sure if Caius's wife was really Michelle. If not, their efforts were wasted. If she was, why had Michelle faked her death and never contacted Abigail?

Quinn hesitated, fearing the truth might hurt Abigail—and that he might never forgive himself.

Clearly, Gregory had also thought of this issue.

He walked up to Abigail, placed his hands on her shoulders, and looked at her with deep, serious eyes. "Abigail, do you really want to continue investigating?"

"Yes." Abigail nodded firmly.

Since she was already involved, there was no reason to back down.

Gregory smiled and gently ruffled her hair. "Alright, I understand."

Since Abigail wanted to investigate, he would accompany her to the end.

After making their plans, the group moved their luggage into the villa. Quinn settled into his own room, while Gregory and Abigail stayed in a bedroom that Quinn had prepared in advance.

As for Henry, he found a guest room to rest in.

A grown man should be content with having a place to stay!

Henry looked at their rooms, then at his own, and couldn't help but curse, "Are you even my brother? Why is my room so plain?"

Quinn gave him a sidelong glance, full of disdain. "Be grateful. Everything in there is brand new; it just looks simple. You're not a princess, so why do you need something so fancy?"

Henry felt a sudden pain in his heart.

Clutching his chest, he went to Gregory, looking aggrieved. "Gregory, you have to help me! Quinn is bullying me!"

However, after hearing the story, Gregory said seriously, "I think Quinn is right. That room is fine."

Henry was utterly confused. "Why do you get to stay in such a nice bedroom? My God, the space is huge, there's a walk-in closet, a big balcony, and even a swimming pool outside!"

He couldn't take it anymore!

The more he looked, the more jealous he became!

Gregory took Abigail's hand, a faint smile on his lips. "It's all because of my wife. I forgot, you don't have a wife."

Henry said, "My heart has been torn to pieces."

Why was he always the one getting hurt?

Watching their interaction, Abigail couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Alright, it's just a guest room. Once you're inside, it's all the same. If you don't like it, we can go to the mall later and buy some things to decorate it."

Henry, feeling defeated, said, "I'm never going out with you guys again!"

With that, he silently retreated to his room to sulk.

Abigail and Gregory exchanged a look, their eyes full of helpless smiles.

The two quickly unpacked their luggage and then lay down on the soft, comfortable bed.

Gregory pulled Abigail into his arms. Her petite frame curled up slightly, making her seem very small under Gregory's embrace.

She looked up, her eyes sparkling. "I didn't expect Quinn to prepare a room for me. I always thought he was cold, but he has such a thoughtful side."

Gregory chuckled. "Quinn is only like this with you. I've known him for over twenty years and have never seen him treat anyone else this way."

Honestly, if Quinn weren't Abigail's brother, Gregory might have been jealous.

Abigail blinked, still full of unanswered questions. "Quinn's mother?"

The smile on Gregory's face slowly faded, and after a long silence, he finally sighed. "Quinn was actually abandoned by Cressida from birth."
