Chapter 503 Lovey-Dovey

Abigail savored it carefully, and under Gregory's expectant gaze, she smiled and nodded. "Good."

"Really?" Gregory also smiled, scooped another spoonful from the bowl, took a sip himself, and seriously commented, "Not bad, the saltiness is just right, very refreshing, and even though it has herbs, it doesn't taste bitter at all."

After saying that, he quickly fed another spoonful to Abigail, continuing spoonful by spoonful until the bowl was gradually empty.

Seeing that Abigail had a good appetite, Gregory cleaned up the utensils and then made a call to Leo. "Tell the restaurant that all the chefs' salaries will be doubled this month."

Leo was slightly stunned but quickly responded, "Okay, I'll take care of it right away."

He couldn't help but wonder when it would be his turn to get a bonus.

Perhaps Gregory saw through his thoughts, as the next second, a deep voice came through the receiver. "Abigail has been pregnant for a few months now, and you've worked hard. Your year-end bonus will be tripled, and you'll get a few extra days off to spend with Lily."

Leo was overjoyed. "Mr. White, are you serious?"

What a sudden piece of good news!

Gregory found it amusing but kept his voice cool. "Don't want it? Then forget it."

"No, no, no, I want it, I want it. Thank you, Mr. White!" Leo quickly agreed, laughing and thanking Gregory.

After hanging up, he immediately shared the good news with Lily!

Approaching thirty, and despite no family pressure, he envied married life. This New Year, he planned to propose to Lily, who had mentioned her parents wanted to meet him. They could then celebrate it together in her hometown.

Thinking about this, Leo couldn't help but feel excited and a bit inexplicably nervous.

He wondered if Lily's parents would be easy to get along with and if they would accept him as their future son-in-law.

Standing in the hospital corridor after hanging up, Gregory reflected on how the past two years had transformed his life. Ever since Abigail came into his world, it had shifted from gray to vibrant. This new life felt almost unreal, like a dream. He had never imagined he could have Abigail, let alone marry her.

Thinking about it, Gregory laughed at himself for being so foolish before. When Abigail lost her memory and forgot their past, he chose to retreat. Fortunately, they hadn't missed out for too long.

Gregory smiled, turned, and went back to the ward. Under Abigail's puzzled gaze, he tightly embraced her. "What's wrong?"

Abigail blinked, sensing Gregory's low mood, and asked worriedly, ''Is something off?''

Gregory buried his face in Abigail's neck and gently shook his head. "Nothing, I just suddenly wanted to hug you."

Feeling the softness in his arms and the familiar fragrance, Gregory's previously worried heart calmed down a bit.

Abigail was slightly stunned, a hint of helplessness flashing in her eyes. Her soft palm, warm with affection, gently stroked Gregory's short hair. "Mr. White, I'm always here. You can hug me whenever you want, for as long as you want."

Hearing this, Gregory tightened his embrace around Abigail.

After a long while, Abigail heard his deep voice in her ear. "Okay."

Just then, a teasing voice suddenly came from the room. "Oh, you two are still so lovey-dovey? How do you not get tired of being together every day?"

Gregory and Abigail looked towards the door and saw Tricia and Henry standing there, smiling at them.

Gregory gave Henry an annoyed look and asked, "So, are you saying you're tired of being with Tricia every day now?"

Tricia narrowed her eyes dangerously, instantly turning her gaze to Henry, as if daring him to say "yes" and face the consequences.

Henry panicked and quickly waved his hands, softly coaxing, "Honey, don't listen to his nonsense. I'm completely devoted to you!"

"Really?" Tricia looked at him suspiciously.

Henry silently cursed Gregory several times in his heart and continued to pledge his loyalty, "Absolutely. My love for you is as clear as day and as bright as the sun and moon. Every word is true!"

Tricia wasn't really suspicious, just teasing him. Seeing him so scared, she couldn't help but find it amusing. "Alright, I won't hold it against you."

Tricia withdrew her gaze and quickly came to the bedside, handing the baby she was holding to Abigail. "Didn't you say you wanted me to bring Clifford over? I brought him this time."

Clifford Clark, born just over a month ago, had grown a lot and looked very cute.

Abigail smiled and looked over. Clifford was still sleeping in the swaddle, his face rosy, his little mouth occasionally smacking, soft and unbelievably well-behaved. "He's so cute."
