Chapter 107 No More Kissing
Abigail checked the mirror and saw that Gregory's kiss had completely removed her freshly applied lipstick. She shot him a glare and pulled out her lipstick to reapply it.
Gregory grabbed her hand and put the lipstick away. "Don't put it on, you look great like this."
Abigail protested, "This outfit is supposed to be sexy. Without lipstick, the makeup looks bland."
Gregory didn't get makeup. To him, it didn't matter if she wore it or not.
He said as much, earning an eye roll from Abigail.
"Someone like you wouldn't understand," she added.
Gregory touched his nose and insisted, "Letting you wear this dress is already my limit. No lipstick."
Abigail paused and asked, "Why don't you want me to wear it?"
Gregory replied, "If you don't want to be stuck here tonight, go ahead and put it on."
He was worried he couldn't control himself.
Tonight, Abigail looked incredibly alluring, her moist eyes and seductive lips making him yearn to kiss her.
He feared he wouldn't be able to restrain himself and would want to have sex with Abigail before they even left the house.
Looking into Abigail's innocent eyes, Gregory couldn't help but smile wryly.
Abigail trusted him too much, not knowing how much effort it took for him to control his desires.
Abigail was stunned for a moment, then realized what he meant, and her cheeks instantly turned red.
She had assumed Gregory was afraid that her elegant appearance would attract the attention of other men, but she never expected it would be for this reason.
Gregory unintentionally made her heart flutter.
She recalled the passionate, forceful kiss from earlier, and her heart began to race anew. She quickly put the lipstick back.
In the end, she opted for a lip balm with no color, only a faint strawberry scent.
Under the light, it had a moist sheen, making it particularly enticing.
Gregory's gaze was once again fixed on her lips, wanting to kiss her.
This time, he restrained himself, aware that kissing her again would likely anger Abigail.Seeing Gregory staring regretfully at her lips, Abigail quickly covered them with her hand and warned him, "No more kissing!"
Gregory sighed and regretfully looked away. "I'll kiss you when we get back."
Abigail said, "Not even when we get back. You've already used up your chances today."
Gregory paused in surprise and looked at her. "What do you mean by used up my chances?"
Abigail replied, "Just now!"
"I don't agree. No couple limits the number of kisses," Gregory argued.
Abigail retorted, "No couple kisses so many times in one day! My lips are swollen from you!"
Gregory was momentarily speechless, unsure how to respond. After all, it was indeed his fault.
Henry had said that to improve a couple's relationship, there must be intimate contact, like kissing.
So, he had been taking action, trying to get Abigail used to his closeness and subtly make her fall in love with him.
However, lacking experience in this area, he occasionally lost control.Gregory softened his tone, gently touching Abigail's lips. "I'm sorry. I didn't consider your feelings. It won't happen again."
Abigail hadn't expected an apology, just wanted him to be more restrained. She felt a bit guilty and said, "Just be careful next time."
She broke free from Gregory's embrace and headed for the door. Gregory didn't notice her slight smile and good mood.
He shook his head and followed her.
...
Leo, sitting in the car, saw Abigail in her dress and was amazed. The dress, designed by a top international designer, looked stunning on her.
Abigail's figure was perfect, with a slim waist and long legs. The dress's slit revealed her thigh, making her very alluring.
When Gregory emerged, he noticed Leo staring at Abigail. Clearing his throat, he directed a cold gaze at Leo.
Leo quickly looked away and laughed. "Mr. White, you have great taste. Mrs. White looks stunning and will surely amaze everyone tonight."
Abigail was pleased with the compliment. Who didn't like being praised for their beauty?
Gregory felt proud. He knew how beautiful Abigail was, even without dressing up. Today, with her makeup and dress, she looked even more stunning.
But seeing Leo staring at her, he frowned. "Drive, we're going to be late."
Leo snapped out of it and quickly started the engine, heading to Maple Leaf Manor Hotel.
As the car started, Gregory took off his jacket and draped it over Abigail's legs.
Abigail looked at him in surprise. He said calmly, "The air conditioning is low. Don't catch a cold."
Abigail smiled. "Thank you, Mr. White. You're so good to me."
Gregory chuckled, gently touching her brow. "You're my wife. It's what I should do."
On the way, Abigail looked out the window, her eyes dazed and a bit lost.
Gregory didn't say anything but kept an eye on her. Seeing her clutching the jacket tightly, he knew she was nervous.
He sighed and reached out to hold her hand.
Feeling his warmth, Abigail quickly turned her head. "Mr. White?"
Gregory asked, "Is something on your mind, Abigail?"
Abigail looked surprised. "Is it that obvious?"
How could Gregory always guess what she was thinking?
