Chapter 348 Being Followed
At the banquet, he recognized Abigail; her face was strikingly similar to Michelle's. If she appeared before Michelle, all his efforts would be wasted. He had finally brought Michelle back and wouldn't let anyone ruin their relationship—especially not David's daughter.
On the other side, Abigail sneezed and snuggled closer to Gregory. A light sleeper, he woke, held her tighter, and adjusted the room's temperature. Seeing her sleep peacefully, he closed his eyes again.
The next morning, Gregory opened the curtains and was about to wake Abigail when he froze. From their third-floor room, he noticed someone watching them.
Gregory frowned, a sharp glint in his eyes. Who had sent the men in black outside?
Just then, he heard Abigail stretching and yawning behind him. Concealing his concern, he sat back down on the bed.
"Abigail, time to get up."
Abigail rubbed her sleepy eyes and reached out her slender arms towards Gregory. "Honey, hug me."
Gregory chuckled softly and lifted Abigail out of the covers, placing her on his lap.
Abigail wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him on the cheek with a smile.
Gregory's delicate features softened with a gentle smile as he pressed his forehead against hers.
"So, what's our plan for today?" Abigail asked with a smile.
Gregory thought for a moment and said, "Do you want to explore Aerilon? I remember you haven't been here before."
Abigail, who had hardly left Aramore in recent years, was curious about Aerilon and quickly nodded.
"Sure, I've heard the sights and architecture here are quite unique. It would be nice to take a look around."
She let go of Gregory and quickly went to the bathroom to freshen up, changing into a short-sleeved shirt and skirt.
Her hair was tied into a bun, making her look youthful and energetic, not at all like someone about to become a mother.
Admiring her beauty in the full-length mirror, Gregory embraced her from behind and planted a light kiss on her cheek.
"Whose wife is so beautiful? Oh, it's mine."
Abigail was amused by his playful tone and laughed, leaning into his embrace.
After getting ready, the two of them went downstairs hand in hand.
Quinn had already dragged a groggy Henry out of bed. Now, Henry sat on the couch, yawning and grumbling about Quinn's ruthlessness.
"Do you know what time I went to bed last night? Four in the morning! I'm exhausted, and you woke me up so early!"
Quinn gave him a disdainful look. "Only kids sleep in."
Henry retorted without thinking, "Nonsense, staying up late is a hallmark of younger generation. You, with your regular schedule, look more like an old man."
Quinn ignored him and, hearing footsteps, looked up towards the stairs.
Seeing Abigail coming down dressed, his icy demeanor softened instantly. "Abigail, why are you up so early? Why not sleep a bit more?"
His tone was gentle, a stark contrast to his earlier mockery of Henry. Henry was speechless. Why was he always the one getting hurt?
During breakfast, Henry made noise while frying eggs, casting resentful glances at everyone present.
Gregory tapped the table lightly with his fingers. "Mind your manners."
"I've been wronged!" Henry complained pitifully. "It's all Quinn's fault. He's biased, spoiling his sister but treating his brother like trash. It's infuriating!"
Quinn and Gregory said in unison, "What else did you expect?"
Henry fell silent.
He lowered his head and chewed his food forcefully, his eyes filled with resentment.
Seeing this, Abigail couldn't help but laugh. "Alright, stop teasing him and eat up."
"Abigail is the best," Henry said, almost moved to tears, feeling a new warmth in his heart.
With Abigail's intervention, Gregory and Quinn toned it down a bit.
After breakfast, Quinn went to the garage to get the car, and Henry quickly forgot his grievances, shedding tears of envy at the sight of the luxury cars in the garage.
"This is so unfair. We're brothers, so why are you two so rich? Are you investing behind my back?"
Quinn looked at him like he was an idiot. "If you saved the money you spend on women, you wouldn't be living so miserably."
Henry awkwardly shut his mouth. He never cared about money and was always generous with the women he dated. Designer clothes, bags, shoes, even film resources—his girlfriends never went without.
Henry couldn't help but explain, "That was in the past. I've cut ties with those women. Now, my heart belongs only to Tricia."
Tricia was different; she didn't care about his money—or even about him.
Quinn gave him a sympathetic look and tossed him a set of keys. "You can only drive this one. Don't touch the others."
Henry looked and saw it was a limited edition Ferrari, instantly getting excited.
"Thanks, Quinn!"
Watching his suddenly cheerful back, Quinn shook his head helplessly.
They first visited Aerilon's famous landmarks, then went to the mall, and finally entered the largest amusement park in Capitise.
Abigail wanted to ride the roller coaster, but Quinn and Gregory said in unison, "No way! You're pregnant; you can't do anything thrilling."
Abigail then remembered she was pregnant and dejectedly went to ride the carousel instead.
To cheer her up, Gregory joined her, sitting right next to her and taking many photos.
At that moment, Gregory keenly sensed someone watching them and instinctively turned his head.
A man in a black suit, who had been taking pictures of them from a distance, quickly put away his camera and hid.
A dark glint flashed in Gregory's eyes. After getting off the carousel, he whispered a few words to Abigail and walked straight towards where the man in black had been.
The bodyguards sent by Caius hid in the shadows, trying to minimize their presence.
They wanted to slip away quietly.
But before they could take a few steps, Gregory's low and cold voice came from behind. "Who sent you?"
