Chapter 121 Her Man Arrived by Plane

Zach closed the medical kit, a slight relaxation appearing on his brow. He looked down at Brooklyn, whose expression was slowly recovering. "It seems I still have a good chance."

He spoke these words so naturally and warmly, with an intimacy that was neither frivolous nor casual. His sincere eyes looked at her as if she were the only one left in the world.

Feeling awkward, Brooklyn averted her gaze. "Dr. Carter, I think there's no need for us to repeat this topic. Thank you for being so kind to me and for saving me, but as for other matters, I think we should not discuss them."

Zach didn't feel awkward about her rejection. He carefully checked her bandaged wound again. "You don't need to worry that my failed confession will affect my mood. You're so cautious about not hurting me again; what else do I have to worry about? Alright, let's not talk about it anymore. You rest well. I'll go check on the other patients."

The patients here were almost taken care of. Long-term blood diseases couldn't be cured, and other ailments were not really a threat.

For them, death was always a possibility, so they weren't afraid of colds or fevers.

Brooklyn struggled to sit up. Zach quickly stepped forward to support her, letting her lean into his arm. Before she could pull away, he said, "You're just my patient now. Don't worry about gender differences. Just lean on my shoulder."

Brooklyn pressed her lips. She had a severe fever and felt thirsty. "Is my attending physician also responsible for getting me water?"

Zach nodded. "Of course, I can even feed you."

She felt embarrassed. "That's not necessary. I just want some water."

"Alright."

Zach held her with one hand and poured a cup of water with the other, bringing it to her lips. "Drink up, our lucky survivor."

Brooklyn felt awkward with this gesture, but she didn't have much strength, so she obediently lowered her head.

At that moment, a rumbling sound came from the sky.

Everyone was attracted by the loud noise and looked up to see a gray helicopter hovering above, seemingly looking for a place to land.

Brooklyn stopped her actions, surprised. "Did the hospital send a helicopter for support?"

Zach looked up and, after careful observation, shook his head. "This isn't the hospital's helicopter. The hospital's aircraft have specific markings, and this one doesn't. Maybe it's just passing by."

"There's actually a helicopter in a place like this?"

While everyone was making various guesses, the gray helicopter began to descend steadily.

Sebastian, sitting in the co-pilot seat, was looking down carefully with binoculars, exuding a strong sense of hostility.

He thought, 'Brooklyn is still up to her old tricks!

'She is lying in another man's arms!

'And that man is Zach from Aucester Hospital!'

The pilot said, "Mr. Kingsley, we're about to land. Please sit tight."

Sebastian's angry gaze was fixed on Brooklyn, who was weakly leaning in Zach's arms. He didn't even hear the pilot's warning.

The helicopter's rotors continued to roar. Sebastian coldly ordered, "Get closer."

The pilot, observing the terrain, hesitated. "I'll try."

"Not try, you must!"

The helicopter landed on a flat area less than 0.1 miles away from Brooklyn, the rotor blades whipping up a storm of fallen leaves.

The wind direction was completely reversed.

Everyone had their eyes wide open, staring at the massive machine with their mouths agape. Many, including Brooklyn, were seeing a helicopter for the first time. This wasn't a regular military helicopter but a civilian one, essentially a small private plane.

"Wow! A plane!"

"Such a big plane! I saw a plane! Mom! A plane!"

Several children, excited by the sight of the massive machine, jumped up and down, tugging at their parents' clothes to get a closer look.

The helicopter's iron ladder descended. Sebastian, in a flight suit, slowly stepped down. He stood by the plane, looking noble and unapproachable.

An aura of inviolable authority emanated from him.

Brooklyn was shocked to see him!

"Sebastian?"

Zach thought, 'This man is Sebastian!'

Zach also recognized Sebastian, his brow furrowing once more.

His hand instinctively tightened around Brooklyn.

Sebastian was rapidly approaching Brooklyn, his powerful legs like a warhorse's hooves, bringing an air of death wherever he went.

Brooklyn stared blankly at Sebastian coming against the light, her fists clenching lightly.

She even forgot she was still leaning in Zach's arms.

In her mind, a cascade of inquiries resided. Why was he here? What was he doing here? What did he want to do to her?

In a moment, the imposing Sebastian stood before her, his eyes locking onto hers. After a few seconds, he commanded coldly, "Let her go."

Zach frowned. "She's injured. I'm her attending physician. I must be responsible for my patient."

Sebastian sneered, with the murderous intent in his eyes bringing palpable tension in the air. "That was before I arrived. Now, let go."

Zach tightened his grip on Brooklyn's shoulder. He asked worriedly in a low voice, "Are you okay? Can you manage?"

Sebastian bent down, no longer looking at Zach, and extended his arms, coldly saying, "Come here."
