Chapter 147 What Does She Really Want
He mocked her then slowly wrapped a towel around his waist before walking out of the bathroom with long strides.
Soon, Megan's coquettish voice could be heard outside. "Sebastian, why are you showering here? The bathroom upstairs is much more comfortable. If you want to take a bath, I can run the water for you."
"You were sleeping," he coldly replied, not glancing back as he headed directly to the second floor.
"Sebastian, you're so good to me. Next time, let's use the upstairs bathroom though. The baby and I are fine. I've been awake for a while now."
The voices gradually faded, and Brooklyn let out a despondent sigh. Her heart felt unbearably heavy.
She returned to her room to change clothes. It was already past 7:00 AM, and she needed to get back to the hospital.
As she stepped out, Megan was coming down the stairs.
"Brooklyn, off to work? Sebastian is showering upstairs. I really can't handle him. He always needs to release his desires first in the morning. He's cleaning up now, and my back is a bit sore. I wonder if it will affect the baby."
Brooklyn's fingers clenched around her bag. After he left the bathroom, he went upstairs to do it with Megan.
"During the first three months, the pregnancy is unstable. Try to avoid it," Brooklyn said through gritted teeth, her forehead throbbing hard.
Megan feigned a shy smile. "That's true, but he was away from home for a few days, and Sebastian feels so strongly. He wanted it last night and this morning. It was a bit much, so I'll remind him to be gentler next time."
As she suppressed her anger and grief, Brooklyn turned to the foyer to get into her heels.
Bang!
She slammed the villa door shut. Once outside, her face could no longer hold its composure. She closed her eyes, heartbroken, and tried to steady her breathing.
He had flirted with her in the bathroom, only to be intimate with Megan moments later. Did Sebastian care about her at all? Even a little bit? If he did, he would not do such things!
Taking a deep breath, Brooklyn almost ran to the garage, got into her little Polo, and sped away.
Megan watched the door slam with a smug smile. "Hurry up, everyone. Sebastian will be down soon. Get breakfast ready!"
It was great that Brooklyn did not eat at home.
Sebastian changed into clean clothes, and Megan approached, linking her arm with his. "Sebastian, breakfast is ready."
Sebastian looked around the living room, dining room, and hallway, but Brooklyn was nowhere to be seen.
Isabella had set three place settings. Just as she was finalizing two of the settings, Megan said with a smile, "Isabella, Brooklyn isn't eating breakfast at home. Two settings are enough. You can go now."
Sebastian calmly removed Megan's hand with a blank look on his face. "One set is enough. I'm rushing to the office for a meeting."
Megan's face suddenly turned pale. "At least have breakfast first. What's more important than your health? I had the kitchen prepare your favorite dishes. Please, try them."
Megan used all her wiles to win Sebastian's heart. She longed for his attention and affection and even more for his love. She grabbed his arm again, trying to press herself against him.
Sebastian did not even glance at the food. His aversion to Megan grew stronger. He pushed her hand away and moved away from the dining table with long strides. "No need. You eat by yourself."
Sebastian sat in the Rolls-Royce, gripping the steering wheel before angrily pounding it with his fist.
What did Brooklyn really want?
She married him for his wealth, to rely on the Kingsley family's power. Now, he was not so sure.
Brooklyn, what do you really want? As long as I have what you want, I can give it to you.
However, a divorce agreement was out of the question.
