Chapter 284 Even Rivals in Love Can Join Forces

"Sebastian, she's in deep trouble right now, man! We gotta do something!" Zach was flooring it, but he knew even if he drove like a maniac, the kidnappers hadn't left any clues. Finding her was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

"I know! I'll figure it out!" Sebastian snapped. He didn't need questions; he needed some real help.

"Yeah, we gotta figure it out! What are you gonna check? I'll help!" Zach was fuming. His anger could probably set half the city on fire.

Two hotheads like them could probably flatten all of New York City.

"She's got a watch that can be tracked globally, but I never told her about it. No clue if she'll even find out." Sebastian furrowed his brows, wishing he could turn back time and slap tracking devices on her car, phone, and watch.

"You wanna spy on her? Did she tell you she was leaving, and you decided to play Big Brother?" Zach asked, still clueless about the whole story.

"Zach, what's your main concern right now?" Sebastian shot back, clearly pissed.

"I care about her! But dude, putting a tracker on your wife? That's cheap!" Zach said.

"Zach, how noble is it to lust after my wife, ignoring the fact that she's married?" Sebastian retorted.

"I..." Zach hesitated.

"You wanna settle the score with me? Fine. Once she's safe, we'll sit down and hash things out. For now, shut up!" Sebastian ordered.

Zach punched the steering wheel, thinking, 'Once Brooklyn's safe, I gotta get her outta here. Staying with Sebastian, she's always in danger. I gotta take her away!'

Dario called, "Mr. Kingsley, the last call on Mrs. Kingsley's phone was from an internet number, so we can't trace it. But it looks like she's in trouble."

Sebastian's eyes darkened with rage, and soon Megan came to his mind. Megan hated Brooklyn the most, even wishing her dead.

Sebastian dialed Megan's number. The phone rang, but no one answered. Another call, still no answer!

As Sebastian's car started, Zach's car screeched to a halt next to Brooklyn's white Maybach. Zach yanked the door open, standing right in front of Sebastian's car.

"Zach, I'm heading to one place. You need to go to another. Here's Brooklyn's stepmother Seraphina's contact info. Find her and get some answers!" Sebastian said.

Seraphina, Susie, Megan—these were the three main suspects. Sebastian would handle Megan, and Zach would deal with Seraphina and Susie from the Mitchell family.

Zach nodded, "Alright! Leave it to me."

Sebastian stared at him for a second, "Can you handle it?"

The tone wasn't deliberately disdainful but naturally skeptical. 'Zach looks like a straight shooter; can he really handle someone as sly as Seraphina?' Sebastian thought.

Zach ignored him, took Seraphina's business card, and got into his own car.

'So, he does have a temper. Good, I can't stand people without a temper. They're not even worth competing with; beating them is pointless,' Sebastian thought.

"Brooklyn, is this our last meal? If it is, I'm gonna pig out." Kelly said.

In front of Brooklyn and Kelly were several dishes, like they were having their last meal before execution.

Brooklyn pouted and smiled, "Why stuff yourself if it's the last meal? That's what we do when the food's good."

Kelly glanced at the six men in black in the villa's hall, ready to pounce. This probably was their last meal. She said, "I've been dieting and dreading engorgement will make me fat. So if it's the last meal, I'm gonna stuff myself. Or else, I need to watch myself."

Brooklyn was amused by Kelly's silliness, "Are you scared, Kelly?"

"No! If I can die with you, I'm not scared." Kelly, beaten black and blue, forced a smile. But as she smiled, the wounds on her face pulled, making her grimace in pain.

"Kelly, thank you. Having a friend like you makes life worth it." After saying that, Brooklyn shouted, "Valerie, have you made up your mind?"

Brooklyn had given her a choice, hoping she'd figure out what to do!

Valerie ambled in, her heavily made-up face twisted into a wild grin due to her unease. "Brooklyn, give up your ideas. I won't fall for it. I've heard you're a medical genius and a great negotiator, but your terms don't tempt me at all."
