Chapter 87 Don't Act Recklessly in the Hospital!

Although she wished Quinn would come and deal with Megan directly, she realized that this was a hospital. Considering the recent unpleasantness between her and Megan, if something happened to Megan now, it would not be beneficial for anyone.

It was not because she was soft-hearted, but because she wanted to calm things down for a while. So, Brooklyn made a decision.

She picked up the phone, hesitated for a while, and finally dialed Sebastian's number. Holding the phone in her hand, her five fingers gathered all strength, almost warming up the phone with her grip.

After a few rings, the call was answered. She didn't have the mood to ponder over how quickly someone answered the phone, nor did she have the time for it.

Once connected, Sebastian's cold voice came before she could speak, "What's the matter?"

She was so attached to his voice, even if it was just a simple word or a routine business term, to her, it seemed to carry his breath and heartbeat, no longer just an intangible sound.

In just a few seconds, she thought about a lot of things. The more she thought, the more she felt ashamed of herself. At this moment, she was still lingering over him!

In the office, Sebastian paused flipping through the file with his long fingers. He patiently waited for the voice on the other end to speak again.

There was silence on the other end of the line. Brooklyn thought he had hung up. She tilted her head, the screen still lit up. Her heart skipped a beat, hastily continuing the previous topic, "Quinn called. He saw the news and wanted to come to the hospital to confront Megan. There's still time to stop him now."

Sebastian's eyebrows furrowed slightly, his deep voice becoming even more ominous. He turned a page of the file, "Are you still at the hospital?"

His question was obviously unrelated to the previous topic, but his tone made it impossible for her to refuse to answer.

"Yes, I'm resting at the hospital."

"Come home immediately," Sebastian ordered coldly.

He always acted this way. Once he made a decision, he wouldn't listen to any explanations. Unfortunately, Sebastian was inherently domineering in this aspect, making people submit to him.

"Did you even hear what I was saying? Quinn wants to come to the hospital to teach Megan a lesson. If you don't want the mother of your child to get hurt, stop him now."
Brooklyn was anxious. She finished speaking in a rush. Because of the force she used, she almost broke the phone. The screen pressed against her face was hot enough to burn her skin.

Sebastian coldly hummed, "Are you worried about Megan, or Quinn? You better genuinely worry about Megan. If I find out anything else, you know my style."

Brooklyn's throat tightened, she swallowed the dryness, "There's nothing between Quinn and me."

"How's your rest? Feeling better?" Before she could hang up, Zach suddenly returned! He didn't notice Brooklyn was on the phone, and he came in with a concerned look.

Sebastian had heard the sound of the door opening earlier, followed by the faint sound of keys. Obviously, Brooklyn was now with a man, and that man had opened the door himself!

She said she was at the hospital, so this man should be the doctor!
In a panic, Brooklyn pressed the phone, nodded at Zach, then looked down, the call had been hung up by Sebastian.

Oh no, he must have heard it just now. It seemed like she was in for some trouble again.

Zach noticed her hurriedly pressing the phone, thinking that besides Sebastian, no one could make her so nervous.

Zach smiled gently, pretending not to know, "How are you feeling now? Any better?"

Brooklyn nodded, "I'm fine. Thank you for accommodating me. I have to leave now."

She said as she went back to the bedroom to get her coat, draping it over her arm. She suddenly wanted to leave here quickly, regardless of Sebastian's misunderstandings or indifference. She didn't want him to have more negative feelings towards her.

Zach didn't insist on keeping her. He self-deprecatingly smiled, "It seems my charm isn't enough to make you stay. I'll walk you out."

After hanging up the phone, Sebastian's anger quickly flared up. He fiercely slammed himself into the back of the chair, his back hitting the genuine leather forcefully.

Then, he stood up in anger, grabbed his coat and car keys, and strode out of the office. Dario was about to report to him, but Sebastian commanded before Dario could say a word, "We'll talk later!"

Dario stared at his departing figure in a daze. Mr. Kingsley's aura just now seemed familiar, as if it only appeared when it was related to Mrs. Kingsley.

Sebastian got into the car with long strides, turned the key, and dialed Quinn's number.

"No matter what you're planning to do now, stop it immediately."

Quinn, who was on his way to the hospital at full speed, frowned deeply, "Sebastian, are you allowing Megan to bully Brooklyn like this? Brooklyn is your wife. What is Megan to you? Why are you siding with her?"

"On what grounds are you speaking up? Defending your sister-in-law? What a nice excuse!" Sebastian retorted.

Quinn was clearly taken aback for a moment. He hadn't thought so much about it. He just couldn't stand Megan's bullying behavior, and even more so, Sebastian siding with Megan instead of Brooklyn.

"Sebastian…"

Sebastian interrupted him and ordered, "Go back, now!"

"But Brooklyn, she must be feeling uncomfortable right now."

Although he felt uneasy, Quinn slowed down the car and gritted his teeth tightly. He really wanted to slap Megan regardless of the consequences!

Sebastian's cold and commanding voice carried a unique dominance, he slowly and forcefully reminded him, "Quinn, you're overstepping. Do I need to explain it more clearly?"

Quinn was speechless.

The call ended, and Sebastian stepped on the gas pedal!
