Chapter 199 Brooklyn Likes This Style

'Sebastian's actually here? The world must be going nuts!' Kelly thought.

Zach smiled, "Looks like you've been in the kitchen all this time. Thanks for your hard work."

Kelly fidgeted. "It's okay."

Sebastian immediately took charge. "Dinner's ready, let's eat."

'Talk about stealing the show, this is it,' Kelly mumbled to herself.

Brooklyn chuckled, "Dr. Carter, let's eat?"

He nodded. "Sure."

Sebastian showed no resentment, making her feel even guiltier.

He held Brooklyn's hand, leading the way, with Kelly and Zach following.

"Dr. Carter, what's going on? Why's he here?"

Zach shrugged. "I don't know."

"How can you not know? He's your rival now. If you want to be with Brooklyn, you need to beat him. Get a move on."

Kelly was anxious. She wanted Brooklyn away from Sebastian and with Zach.

Zach watched Sebastian and Brooklyn. "It's up to her. If I push, I might lose her. I'll give her time to decide."

Kelly was moved, becoming his biggest supporter.

"Dr. Carter, you're like the perfect second lead in a romance novel—elegant and supportive. But the second lead always loses!"

'Kelly, what are you saying?' Kelly shook her head.

"No, I mean, a good man like you is rare. If Brooklyn doesn't choose you, it's her loss!"

Zach laughed. "No need to flatter me. I won't give up. Thanks for your help."

Kelly also chuckled, "Didn't expect Sebastian to show up."

She thought, 'It was like catching a husband cheating.'

She didn't dare speak recklessly anymore.

The dining room was large, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a glass table with a decorative waterfall in the center.

The dishes were served one by one.

"All the veggies are organic, and the meat's farm-fresh," Zach introduced.

Brooklyn looked at the beautifully prepared dishes.

Sebastian's expression was indifferent. 'So, Brooklyn likes this style?'

The last dish was fish.

During the meal, it was quiet and tense.

Kelly smiled, "Don't just look at it. Dr. Carter, you caught the fish. You should have the first bite."

Zach nodded. "Let's all eat together."

'He caught the fish?' Sebastian thought.

He placed a piece of fish on Brooklyn's plate. "You like fish. Eat more."

Kelly bit her fork. "Brooklyn does like fish, especially stewed."

Sebastian took a piece for himself. "Really? This preparation seems the best."

'Would Sebastian die if he didn't tease Brooklyn?!' Kelly clenched her teeth.

"As long as it's fish, it's good."

Brooklyn meant she wasn't picky.

But Sebastian lowered his voice. "Seems like you can accept any way it's prepared. Tonight, I can accommodate."

Brooklyn's blood pressure shot up!

'Tonight? Right, we are staying over. Am I going to sleep with Sebastian tonight?'

Zach ate elegantly, sticking to simple vegetarian dishes.

Sebastian's dining posture was as refined as a prince.

Kelly observed Zach and Sebastian.

'One is the heir of the Aucester Group, the other a noble vice dean in medicine. Both equally impressive.'

She gritted her teeth. 'If Sebastian truly loved Brooklyn, he'd be irreplaceable. But he neglected her for three years and had an affair! Zach is the better choice.'

As they ate, Kelly asked, "Dr. Carter, we're staying here tonight, right? How many rooms did you book?"

The three at the table stopped moving their forks.

'Did I say something wrong again?' Kelly blinked.

Zach looked at the two across from him. "I thought Dr. Mitchell and Ms. Wilson would share a room, so I booked a double suite, but..."

Sebastian cut him off, "Perfect. Brooklyn and I will stay together tonight."
