Chapter 363 Wear It and Cut It Directly

Ashley's bright red lips curled into a smirk as she lifted her Hermes bag and pointed at the torn seams of her dress. "Check it out, her nails ripped my dress. This is the latest design!"

Scarlett nodded. "Nice dress. How much is it? I'll pay you the original price."

Ashley looked Scarlett up and down, then held up two fingers. "Twenty thousand dollars. This is a limited edition worldwide."

Kelly couldn't believe it. "Twenty thousand dollars? Are you serious? This dress sells for four thousand dollars!"

Scarlett smiled, her expression calm and unreadable. She waved Kelly off and said to Ashley, "Alright, I'll give you twenty thousand dollars. The dress is mine then, deal?"

Ashley was skeptical when she heard Scarlett was really willing to pay twenty thousand dollars. "Are you serious?"

"Yes, I'll give you twenty thousand dollars, and the dress is mine. Deal?" Scarlett nodded.

"Ok!" Ashley laughed.

Kelly grabbed Scarlett. "Scarlett, don't fall for it. This dress isn't worth that much, and I'm not fighting with her over the dress. She insulted my best friend, and I can't stand that!"

Scarlett pulled out her checkbook and whispered, "If you can't stand it, then don't."

What did she mean? Kelly looked at Scarlett with confusion.

Scarlett quickly signed a check for twenty thousand dollars, tore it off, and handed it to Ashley. "Here's twenty thousand dollars. You can cash it at any bank. You can call to verify it now if you want."

No need to call, Ashley knew only top-tier wealthy people had such checkbooks. She twitched her lips and smiled. "I'll change out of the dress right now and give it to you."

"No need! Keep it on!" Scarlett's voice suddenly rose, her calm yet sharp gaze making Ashley uneasy.

Kelly gritted her teeth, clenched her fists, and gritted her teeth again. Twenty thousand dollars! Ashley got off easy!

Scarlett looked around the clothing store and spotted a small pair of scissors used for cutting threads on the counter. She picked them up and handed them to Kelly, her tone light but her words heavy. "Kelly, this dress is mine now. I don't like it. Cut it up for me."

What? Ashley backed away, protecting her dress. "What are you doing? You can't do this!"

With one snip, Kelly made a large cut in Ashley's dress. The dress was already short, and now it revealed even more skin.

"Ashley, you'd better stay still. If my scissors slip and cut your flesh, it won't be good." Kelly deliberately demonstrated the sharpness of the scissors.

As Ashley's face turned pale with fear, Kelly cut the dress into shreds, almost leaving her naked. People outside started to gather, laughing at Ashley through the window.

Ashley had lost all her dignity.

"Scarlett, how about now?" Kelly rubbed her nose, inviting Scarlett to admire the result. The luxurious dress now hung in tatters on Ashley, barely covering the important parts, and looking hideous.

Scarlett frowned. "Now I dislike it even more."

Kelly burst into laughter. "Should I strip it off her?"

"Do as you like." Scarlett shrugged.

Kelly reached out to undress her, and Ashley backed away in fear. "No, Kelly, don't do this. We know each other. You can't be so heartless. I'll give the money back!"

Ashley pulled out the check and threw it on the ground, her heavily made-up face losing a lot of powder, and her eyeshadow starting to smudge.

"What's going on here?" Just as Kelly's hand touched Ashley's collar, a man's voice, unhurried and slightly irritated, came in. It carried the unmistakable tone of someone used to the privileges of wealth, yet softened by the lethargy born of luxury.

Ashley saw it was James Rivera and cried, clinging to him. "James, why did you come so late? I was almost bullied!"

As she spoke, she leaned against James, looking pitiful.

Kelly gritted her teeth and muttered, "Bitch!"

James had witnessed the whole scene from outside. He had intended to come in but thought it inappropriate if he, a man, stepped into a catfight. He didn't expect Scarlett to join the fray, so he enjoyed watching the drama unfold.

Scarlett glanced at the newcomer, James, who was tall, well-dressed, and handsome, he fit the traditional image of a wealthy man. However, the overpowering scent of women's perfume and his unmistakably privileged demeanor gave away his indulgent lifestyle.

"Apologize." James suddenly commanded harshly.

Kelly clenched her teeth, gripping Scarlett's arm tightly. She didn't move. Apologize? No way!

"I said, apologize!" James shouted.

Kelly was so scared her fingers trembled. James was a young heir from Aucester, and she couldn't afford to offend him.

James clearly had no patience left, his voice cold and threatening. "Do I need to say it again?"
