Chapter 67 Quinn's Terms
Quinn actually wanted to discuss terms with her?
Brooklyn looked at the continuously decreasing numbers with little interest and said, "You're wrong, I'm not interested."
Quinn was going crazy, stretching his hands back to hold his head, spinning in place. "No way! Brooklyn, how can you not be interested? Megan wants to steal Sebastian, don't you want her to taste the bitterness of undermining you?"
Brooklyn remained calm, her bright eyes revealing a doctor's sharpness and alertness. "Quinn, are you being too enthusiastic? Sebastian and I will handle our affairs, you just take care of yourself."
Quinn didn't give up the last chance, grabbing Brooklyn's lab coat sleeve, and solemnly reminding her, "Brooklyn, Megan is not an ordinary character. If you let her do as she pleases now, she will really replace your position in the future. Don't you care about Mrs. Kingsley's position? Or don't you care about Sebastian?"
It turned out that he was not just there for an equal exchange, but also to probe.
As the elevator door was about to open, Brooklyn smiled mysteriously. "I trust my relationship with Sebastian. It won't be threatened by irrelevant people. If that's your main purpose, Quinn, I'm busy, not available."
Quinn ran his hand through his hair, a slight smile appearing on the left corner of his mouth, then caught up with Brooklyn in big strides. Nurses and doctors from the cardiology department nodded at Brooklyn, and Quinn smiled. "Alright, I do have something to ask you. Sebastian asked me to apply for college, and I need to provide a medical report, so I came to find you."
"Dr. Mitchell, good morning."
"Dr. Mitchell, good morning."
The nurses they passed by greeted them with lowered heads. Brooklyn nodded slightly in response and continued, "For the blood test part, just have the internal medicine doctor issue a test order, and the results will be out within three days."
"Isn't you an internal medicine doctor?" Quinn retorted.
Brooklyn looked at him impatiently. "Yes."
Quinn replied, "Thank you, Brooklyn!"
"Call me Dr. Mitchell." Brooklyn reminded.
"Got it, Dr. Mitchel." Quinn responded.
Brooklyn coldly stared at him. "This is a hospital, so watch your mouth."
Quinn visited the office for the second time, and Sienna and Ellie exchanged knowing glances. This handsome guy clearly had impure intentions!
Brooklyn typed on the keyboard, then handed the printed form to Quinn. "You need to fast for the blood draw. If you've had breakfast today, come back tomorrow."
"I haven't eaten."
"That's good then."
Quinn leaned closer to Brooklyn's ear. "Brooklyn, let's have a meal together after I finish drawing blood."
Brooklyn impatiently pulled out a medical record to review. "I'm busy, I have clinic in the afternoon. Aren't you leaving?"
Quinn fiddled with the items on her desk and whispered, "Brooklyn, consider my advice. Megan is not easy to deal with."
Brooklyn sneered, "It seems like you're the one not easy to deal with. Go draw blood, the blood draw room closes at 11:30, if you don't make it in time today, it will be canceled."
Reprimanded, Quinn left, and Sienna and Ellie couldn't help but express their regret and condemnation, "You don't appreciate such an eye-catching handsome guy! He's obviously interested in you! Dr. Mitchell, age difference is not a big deal, think about it."
"Do you have nothing else to do? If you have time, finish the reports for the end of the month. I'm too busy." Brooklyn retorted.
"Please, I still have patients. Ah! The handsome guy got driven away!"
"We don't stand a chance with a top-notch guy like Sebastian, but the handsome guy just now is good! Poor handsome guy, why don't he wink at me? It would be so nice if he came into my arms!"
Brooklyn clicked her pen, Sebastian...
Yes, to outsiders, he was undoubtedly the top choice for a perfect man, her smile froze, what's the use of being perfect?
The phone on Brooklyn's desk suddenly vibrated, a call from the emergency room.
"Dr. Mitchell, come quickly, there's a patient who needs urgent treatment."
"Okay!"
Brooklyn let go of the mouse and ran out quickly. "What's the situation with the patient now?"
"Blood pressure 80/40, pulse 110, in his thirties, the patient has congenital heart disease, it seems that the coronary artery is severely damaged, the patient is having difficulty breathing, it's very urgent."
"Understood."
When Brooklyn saw the patient downstairs, the patient was already in shock, with a pale face and no color in his cheeks. Brooklyn quickly opened the patient's eyes and saw the color of the sclera, the situation was not optimistic.
"Dr. Mitchell, the patient has no heartbeat." A nurse reminded.
As soon as the patient's wife heard that the patient had no heartbeat, she suddenly burst into tears, grabbing Brooklyn's clothes and crying hysterically, "Doctor, you must save him! My husband is only thirty-two years old, he can't die! If he dies, I can't live! Doctor, please!"
The nurses hurriedly supported the wife. "Madam, don't worry, the doctor will do her best, please calm down first."
"Doctor, please save him! We will pay any amount for his treatment! Please!"
"Madam, please don't get agitated, it will only delay the doctor's treatment."
Brooklyn pressed the patient's heart with both hands. "The patient's coronary artery needs to be stented immediately, it's likely that all three coronary arteries are diseased. Get the defibrillator!"
Brooklyn held the defibrillator tightly in her hands, staring at the patient's face. "200 joules."
The patient was forcefully pulled off the stretcher by the strong suction, then fell heavily, but there was still no heart activity on the monitor.
"200 joules, second time!"
The patient jolted for the second time.
"Dr. Mitchell, the patient's heartbeat has been restored!"
