Chapter 206 Fulfilling Sebastian and Megan
Kerry was a top fashion designer with tons of awards from Mylan and Pariz fashion weeks. She designed most of Sebastian's suits and knew his style inside out.
Dario walked into Kerry's studio, familiar with the place, and went straight to her office. "Hey! Long time no see."
Kerry was busy at her drawing table. She looked up and saw Dario. "Mr. Kingsley didn't come?"
"No need for the boss to come here. I'm enough. Got any new designs?" Dario glanced around at the new suits, ties, shoes, and accessories on display.
Kerry was super productive, cranking out amazing pieces every month.
Dario imagined his boss in the suits. No matter which one, Sebastian would look great.
"So, what does Assistant Klein want today?"
Sebastian was a big client, and Kerry valued him. She opened a cabinet like it was a treasure chest. "These are my best works. Pick any you like."
Dario, not as fashion-savvy as Kerry, hesitated. "What do you think would be a good gift for a date with a woman?"
Kerry snapped her fingers. "Is Mr. Kingsley going on a date with his wife?"
Dario was shocked. 'How did she guess?'
He didn't deny it. "So, what's your suggestion?"
"A suit is a must, and matching shoes. Details matter." She quickly picked a three-piece suit and brown shoes, then brought out a gift box. "This gift, any woman would love. It's a new release this year!"
Dario took the box, which had a diamond necklace. No woman would refuse it.
"Perfect."
"Aren't you going to ask the price? Don't you afraid I'll overcharge you?"
Dario smiled, "If the boss likes it, he could buy your whole store."
At Aucester Hospital, Brooklyn asked others, "Is the patient who just came into the ER taken care of?"
"All set, Dr. Mitchell."
"Good."
She changed clothes in the locker room. 'Even if he didn't invite me to dinner, we'd still meet. How could I not follow Jennifer's orders?'
Her attitude was so strong that if I didn't comply, the disaster awaiting Sebastian would be unimaginable.
What am I in the Kingsley family? Just an insignificant outsider.
Sebastian, we've finally come to the day of parting.'
Brooklyn got home early with fresh ingredients, carefully washed, cut, and stir-fried them. She wanted to cook dinner for him one last time. The house wasn't big or as luxurious as Sebastian's villa, but it held memories just for the two of them.
That door, that bed, held so many blushing and heart-pounding moments.
Inviting him here, Brooklyn wondered if she was subconsciously longing for something.
With these thoughts, she finished cooking four dishes and one soup.
She set the table, changed the water for the flowers in the living room, and with twenty minutes left until the agreed time, she found the wait both too long and too short. Too long because she couldn't wait for him to arrive, and too short because once she mentioned divorce, there'd be no turning back.
Her mind in turmoil, she busied herself by changing out of her light gray dress into a knee-length light mauve dress, brushing her hair a few times, and applying light lip gloss.
She looked much better than before cooking, less sorrowful and more charming.
"Sebastian, let's get a peaceful divorce.
Sebastian, why don't we sign the divorce papers today?
Sebastian, I've thought it over. We're not suited to be husband and wife. I'll let you and Megan be together. After this meal, let's not have any more ties."
Facing the mirror, Brooklyn practiced several different opening lines, but each one was heartbreaking.
Sebastian was punctual, rarely late. As he pushed the door open, the aroma of the dishes wafted in, and a faint smile spread across his face, his deep eyes sparkling like stars.
Such simple and ordinary smells were particularly appealing to him today.
"Am I late?" Sebastian asked, ready to change into slippers.
Brooklyn quickly replied, "No need to change shoes. Just come in."
"Alright." Sebastian straightened up with a slight smile.
Even without makeup, Brooklyn's natural look caught Sebastian's eye at first glance.
She didn't smile much, but her lips seemed to hold a faint smile. She walked gracefully, so beautiful it took his breath away.
'She was truly beautiful!'
"Just a simple meal," Brooklyn said, her tone a bit cold, as if trying to distance herself from him.
At the same time, she noticed that Sebastian seemed to have dressed up deliberately today. His clothes made him look handsome, noble, and aloof!
He exuded an indescribable charm.
She had to admit, just by looks alone, Sebastian could conquer more than ninety-nine percent of the women in the world.
Brooklyn had skillful hands, not only excellent in medicine but also in cooking. Simple ingredients turned into works of art under her hands, dish by dish.
