Chapter 201 Zach's Princess Carry

Kelly mumbled, "It's Sunday!"

She had just started eating.

"The patient's safety can't wait. We'll head to the hospital. You guys stay and eat," Brooklyn said, already getting up and heading out.

"I'll get the car," Zach said, but his phone rang again.

"The patient's intracranial pressure is rising. Prepare for a puncture! Don't drain the cerebrospinal fluid too quickly. It could be dangerous. Okay, get the ventilator ready, and one milligram of adrenaline..."

Brooklyn's phone rang, too. "Speak!" she answered.

Seeing them like this, Kelly lost her appetite.

Sebastian, frustrated, yanked his chair back and stormed past Zach. "I'll drive!"

'Answering calls one by one and still thinking of driving? Aren't you afraid of getting hit before reaching the hospital yourself?' Sebastian grumbled under his breath.

Brooklyn looked at Sebastian in astonishment, holding the phone.

"What are you waiting for? Come on," Sebastian snapped.

Zach, busy guiding a trainee doctor on emergency procedures, didn't have time to think and followed Sebastian with Brooklyn.

Brooklyn glanced back at Kelly. "You stay here and take the food."

Zach tossed his keys to Kelly. "Take my car back."

And just like that, they left Kelly behind.

The black Rolls-Royce sped down the road. Brooklyn sat in the front passenger seat, Zach in the back, both on their phones since they got in.

Sebastian, the professional driver, looked grim.

"Hurry! The patient can't wait!" Brooklyn urged between phone calls.

Sebastian shot her a cold look. "If you want to die, I can go faster."

"The patient can't breathe! They'll die if we don't save them in time!"

Sebastian wanted to strangle her. He was already going 125 mph. Any faster would be dangerous!

"So what? There is always someone dying every day."

He didn't care about others, but his woman had to be safe.

The speed was already insane, but Brooklyn couldn't stand the thought of the patient not breathing. Every second counted.

"Stop talking and go faster! The patient is critical!"

In her panic, Brooklyn forgot who Sebastian was.

Sebastian knew the urgency and kept the speed high but controlled. He could drive fast, but safety was paramount.

"Hold on!"

The Rolls-Royce flew like a shooting star.

They reached the hospital's emergency entrance. Brooklyn and Zach jumped out as an ambulance arrived. They ran over.

"The patient inhaled a lot of fumes. Start oxygen immediately!"

"Dr. Mitchell, this patient jumped out of a building in a panic," a paramedic said.

Zach quickly assessed the patient. "Broken ribs and a shattered femur. Dr. Mitchell, check for internal injuries."

Brooklyn listened to the patient's heart and breathing. "The heart is congested. We need surgery!"

"Get them inside! Prep for surgery!"

Sebastian stayed in the car, watching Brooklyn and Zach through the window.

They worked seamlessly together, like they knew each other's moves.

For the first time, Sebastian saw Brooklyn fully immersed in saving a life. Her dedication was etched into his mind.

He couldn't resist Brooklyn's charm at all.

"V-fib! Prepare to defibrillate, 300 joules, charge!"

"Defibrillate again!"

However, the patient still didn't regain consciousness. Brooklyn climbed onto the stretcher, kneeling over the patient to perform CPR.

"Dr. Carter, the patient has abnormal breathing on both sides. Help here!"

Zach, hands covered in blood from treating another patient, saw Brooklyn doing CPR. He rushed over and checked the patient's abdomen.

"Internal bleeding! Get down!"

As he spoke, the patient coughed up a large amount of blood.

At that moment, Zach scooped Brooklyn up in a perfect princess carry, spinning gracefully to avoid the blood spray.

Time seemed to freeze.

Brooklyn stiffened in his arms, while the surrounding nurses and doctors stared in shock.

Sebastian gripped the steering wheel tightly, wanting to drive up and kill Zach right away.

Zach asked softly, "You okay?"

"I'm fine. Put me down."

Applause erupted. "Wow! Our hospital's perfect couple! That was amazing!"

Sebastian's eyes narrowed. 'Couple?!'

Furious, he crumpled the two movie tickets in his pocket and threw them out the window, driving the car and speeding away.
