Chapter 570 Instructions Before Departure

Brooklyn paused for a second. Since when did Sebastian and James get so tight that they were grabbing lunch together?

Both of them were swamped with work, yet they found time for lunch.

Brooklyn couldn't help but wonder.

"Alright then. I don't have anything else to say. Enjoy your meal, guys."

"Sure thing. Go grab something to eat, babe."

After hanging up, Sebastian noticed James staring at him with a mix of curiosity and admiration.

Being sneaky wasn't something he picked up overnight, and throwing a friend under the bus wasn't either. James was seeing Sebastian's skills up close.

Lying so smoothly and making it believable—now that was a talent.

"Sebastian, you even fooled Brooklyn. Is there anything you wouldn't dare to do? Seriously impressive." James raised his glass to Sebastian. "Here's to you, Sebastian. I hope you can teach me more tricks in the future."

Sebastian casually clinked his glass with James's. "You're laying it on thick, man. Also, I'm drinking because I'm not driving today. If I'm not wrong, you drove yourself here, right?"

James had just brought the glass to his lips, and the wine barely touched his mouth before he almost choked and spat it out. "I got so caught up in drinking with you that I forgot I drove."

Sebastian took a leisurely sip. "Don't overdo it. Brooklyn doesn't let me drink much for my own good, so I keep it light. You should keep that in mind."

James found the wine delicious, a testament to Sebastian's taste, and it was from his rare collection. He couldn't help but drink a few more sips. "I'll remember. I'll try to drink less when I'm out, preferably not at all."

"I'm not asking you to remember that. I'm asking you to remember to always listen to your wife." Sebastian indeed put down his glass, not touching the remaining sips.

James swallowed and chuckled dryly. "Sebastian, I'm not married yet. I'm single and only have to feed myself."

Sebastian glanced at his watch. "That's your problem. A man should settle down and establish a career. Without a family, how can you establish a career?"

James felt lectured and rubbed his temples, his eyes narrowing slightly. "I'm not in a hurry to get married. I haven't met the right person yet. The only one I considered... I'm still hungry. I'll keep eating."

'The only one is Brooklyn, but she's your darling, and I can't compete for her. It's really heartbreaking to think about.' James thought to himself, and then he replied, "I'll try my best!"

Sebastian elegantly wiped his mouth with a napkin. "I'm done eating. Take your time. Handle the task I gave you, and contact me if you run into any issues. If there's a direct conflict, don't worry about anything else—just protect yourself."

Hearing Sebastian let him protect himself first, James felt a pang of emotion.

After speaking, Sebastian stood up, his suit perfectly unwrinkled, his tall and handsome figure exuding an air of elegance and nobility.

James wanted to stand up to see him off, but Sebastian waved him off. "Keep eating. Don't drive after drinking."

James was stunned, and thought, 'Is this really Sebastian talking to me? My God, is this the same high-and-mighty Sebastian who never looked anyone in the eye?'

Feeling honored, James obediently nodded. "Alright... I understand. Drive safely."

Sebastian said no more, striding out of the restaurant. By the time he reached the parking lot, Owen had opened the car door. "Mr. Kingsley, where to next?"

"To the Mitchell Group headquarters."

"Got it."

The Aqua Vista City project was about to kick off in the next couple of days. Brian would definitely send him out soon, and he needed to clear up a few important matters before leaving.

Sebastian leaned back in the car seat, closing his eyes to rest. His handsome, chiseled face showed signs of fatigue, his brows slightly furrowed.

Seeing Sebastian tired, Owen slowed down the car, giving him a chance to rest.

Twenty minutes later, the car stopped in front of the Mitchell Group. As soon as the car stopped, Sebastian woke up. The twenty-minute rest had alleviated his fatigue.

Owen opened the door for Sebastian, who stepped out. "Mr. Kingsley, any other plans?"

Sebastian buttoned up his suit, which he had loosened while resting. "What's up?"

Owen hesitated before speaking. "My... my wife is due to give birth in the next couple of days. I want to be with her. I don't know if... if you have any other plans for me..."

"Why didn't you say so earlier?" Sebastian's brows furrowed more deeply, his sharp gaze showing displeasure. "Why didn't you tell me such an important thing sooner?"

Owen's legs nearly gave out from fear. "I... I didn't want to disrupt work."

Sebastian's cold eyes bore into Owen. "Which hospital is your wife at?"

Owen answered truthfully, "Blossom Healthcare Hospital."

It was a modest hospital, and for someone with Owen's income, choosing such a place for childbirth would already be quite a strain.

"Take my car and bring your wife to Aucester Hospital. I'll contact the doctors there for you. Go now." Sebastian's words were firm and decisive, leaving Owen stunned.

"Mr. Kingsley... this..."

"What are you waiting for? Go. You're off today and for the next few days."

"Thank you, Mr. Kingsley! Thank you so much!"

Watching Sebastian walk up the steps to the Mitchell Group office building, Owen nearly shed tears. Was this really Sebastian talking? It felt surreal.

Sebastian entered the Mitchell Group building, and the receptionist nearly fainted from shock. "Mr. Kingsley, are you here to see Ms. Gomez? I'll take you to her right away."

"No need." His deep, pleasant voice relaxed the receptionist.

Sebastian knew the layout of the Mitchell Group well. He went straight to the elevator, and during the ride up, he called the director of Aucester Hospital, personally arranging for Owen's wife.

The hospital director assured him repeatedly that everything would be taken care of.

After hanging up, the elevator doors opened.

Sebastian stepped out, heading straight for Bianca's office. The nearby workstations were occupied by the president's assistants and secretaries.

"Oh my God, am I dreaming? Mr. Kingsley is here!"

"It's really him!"

Amidst the awe and admiration, Sebastian walked towards Bianca's office. Her chief secretary stood up quickly. "Mr. Kingsley..."

Sebastian nodded. "Is Ms. Gomez in?"

Just as he asked, Bianca and Brandon stepped out of the elevator. "Mr. Kingsley? What brings you here?"

Sebastian didn't waste time. "I have something to discuss. It's better to talk in person. Let's go inside."

Sebastian was already in boss mode. But it made sense—the Mitchell Group was his wife's, which meant it was his too.

"Alright."

The three entered the office, and Bianca instinctively offered Sebastian the main seat, personally making him a cup of coffee.

Brandon watched, his eyes nearly popping out!

He had been dating Bianca for a while and had never tasted her homemade coffee. Sebastian arrived and immediately received top-tier treatment. It was infuriating.

"Mr. Kingsley, are you here for business or personal matters? If it's business, this coffee is for you. If it's personal, I'll take it." Brandon reached for the coffee cup, his fingers touching the edge.

Sebastian didn't even glance at him. "I'll be leaving Aucester for the next couple of days, and I won't be back for at least half a month. This period is crucial for acquiring the Turner Group. I don't want any mistakes."

Brandon's hand froze, retracting as he stared at Sebastian in disbelief.

"Are you serious? Knowing it's a critical time, you're leaving? What could be so important? Can't someone else go?"

"No, it has to be me. Regarding the Turner Group, there are a few key points I need to share. Listen carefully. Master these points, and acquiring the Turner Group at a low price won't be difficult..." Sebastian detailed the strategy, from cutting off the Turner Group's supply chain to withdrawing their investors, providing a clear and thorough analysis. "So, a week should be enough."

After finishing, Brandon clapped. "Mr. Kingsley, you truly deserve this coffee."

Sebastian's eyes flickered. "I won't drink the coffee. If I do, it might dampen your enthusiasm for helping me, and ruining someone's relationship isn't my hobby."

Bianca rubbed her nose. "According to Mr. Kingsley, even if we buy the Turner Group, Lawrence will be penniless and deeply in debt."

Brandon clicked his tongue. "Of course! Should we give him money to retire comfortably? Lawrence has had an easy life. It's time he faced some hardship. The money Mr. Kingsley offers for the Turner Group will barely cover the shareholders' losses. As for the bank loans, Lawrence will likely have to mortgage his house, car, and land. It's a shame, really. He was once part of Aucester's elite families, but now he's fallen so far."

Sebastian finished discussing business. It was 2:10 PM, and he had another major issue to handle before returning to the office by 3 PM.

"Mr. Hernandez, are you free now?" Sebastian asked.

Brandon replied, "Why? I just finished a meeting, so I'm not too busy."

"Since you're not busy, drive me back to the office."

Brandon pointed at himself. "Me?"

Sebastian nodded. "It's just the two of you here. If you don't go, will you let Ms. Gomez go? If you're willing, I don't mind."

"I'll go! I'll drive you!"

"Good. Wouldn't it have been easier to agree right away? Why make me say something I don't mean?"
