Chapter 592 The Noise Next Door Is Too Loud

In Aqua Vista City, the night was already deep.

Sebastian had just finished reviewing the day's documents from the branch office and read through a dozen emails from Quinn. Before he knew it, it was already 1:30 AM.

Closing his laptop, Sebastian walked to the bedroom, his long legs slipping under the covers. Just as he lay down, a low, muffled breathing sound reached his ears.

Sebastian frowned and turned off the bedroom light.

But once the light was out, the breathing sound became even clearer. It was coming from right across his bed, making it easy to imagine that the tantalizing noise was coming from the next room.

He was staying in the penthouse suite, with only six rooms on the floor, spaced far apart with good soundproofing. Yet, he could hear the moans of the guest next door.

Sebastian furrowed his brows and closed his eyes, trying to sleep. But the more he tried, the louder the sounds from next door became.

The woman's unabashed moans, each one stimulating Sebastian's nerves.

He was a normal man! Physically and mentally, completely normal!

Unable to help himself, he rubbed his temples and tightly shut his eyes.

The sounds from next door showed no sign of stopping, growing even more intense. The woman's moans, the man's voice, the sound of bodies colliding.

For a moment, he felt the urge to complain, but then he thought better of it. Complaining would only make him seem lonely and envious.

That night was a tough one for Sebastian.

Eventually, he fell into a deep sleep out of sheer exhaustion.

The next morning, Sebastian woke up later than usual.

The rain that had been falling on and off all night finally stopped, but the sky outside was still dark, with no sign of clearing up.

Sebastian took a shower, changed into clean, well-pressed trousers and a crisp white shirt, instantly regaining his usual dignified appearance.

As he slowly fastened his diamond cufflinks, the hotel doorbell rang. Without turning around, he faced the dim light outside and said in a low voice, "Come in."

Hearing his command, the hotel staff opened the door and respectfully bowed, "Mr. Kingsley, I'm here to change your bed linens."

Sebastian responded with a faint acknowledgment, allowing the staff to enter the bedroom. Soon, the sounds of linens being changed filled the room.

The maid efficiently replaced the bedding, neatly folding the old ones and placing them on the cart. She then bowed again, "Mr. Kingsley, is there anything else you need?"

Sebastian was reading a document and didn't look up. He casually asked, "Who is staying next door?"

The maid looked a bit troubled. "Mr. Kingsley, we can't disclose guest information. Please understand."

Sebastian's eyes narrowed. "Is the guest next door staying another night?"

The maid was surprised by his persistence about the neighbor, "I'm not sure. You might want to call the front desk; they might be able to help."

"Alright," Sebastian said, a bit annoyed. He understood the hotel's privacy policies but hoped there wouldn't be a repeat of last night. Otherwise, he might just buy the hotel.

"Mr. Kingsley, breakfast is ready. Would you like it brought up, or will you go down to eat?"

Sebastian, still feeling the effects of a poor night's sleep, had no appetite. "No rush, you can leave now."

"Yes, Mr. Kingsley."

After the staff left, Sebastian's phone rang.

As expected, it was Catherine.

No one else would call him this early.

The phone rang for fifty seconds before Sebastian lazily picked it up. "Hello."

His voice was polite, with no hint of intimacy.

But Catherine, hearing his voice, felt her heart race with excitement. Every time she heard Sebastian, she felt nervous and expectant, almost unable to contain herself.

"Sebastian, are you up? Do you have any plans today? How about we go to a concert together?" Catherine played with the concert tickets in her hand. The Verdanza Orchestra's performance would be a top-notch experience if she could share it with him.

Sebastian flipped through his documents, "Sorry, I have a meeting today. The project hasn't made any progress, so I can't get away."

"Just for that? I've already talked to my dad, and he'll help you. You just need to wait for the results. And I heard from my dad that Mr. Gutierrez didn't oppose this time, so it should be resolved in a few days."

It seemed Eugene hadn't caused any trouble. With Bruce's help, the project was almost secured.

"Thank you. Once we get the construction permit, I'll make sure to thank you properly." Sebastian glanced at his watch. He had a meeting with several senior executives from the Aqua Vista City branch in an hour.

Catherine pouted, "No, I don't want to wait. How about today? I have VIP seats for tonight's concert, and I want to go with you."

Sebastian's eyes turned cold. "I have a meeting today. In a few days, I'll book a private performance just for you. Wouldn't that be better?"

Although she wasn't short on money, the idea of Sebastian booking a concert just for her filled Catherine with anticipation.

"Alright, I'll wait for you. Once we get the permit, we'll go to the private concert, just for us."

"Okay."

Hanging up, Sebastian grabbed his car keys and took the elevator down.

As he walked out of the B2 parking lot, he saw a woman's silhouette, a half-profile that quickly disappeared into a black Mercedes.

The woman wore large sunglasses, covering half her face. Once inside the car, she shared a quick kiss with the driver before the Mercedes sped out of the parking lot.

Why did that silhouette seem familiar?

Sebastian frowned, noting the car's license plate.

Getting into his car, he called Brandon, but the phone rang for a long time with no answer. Frustrated, he called Peregrine.

This time, the call was quickly answered. Peregrine, seeing it was Sebastian, asked, "Mr. Kingsley, what can I do for you?"

"Check a license plate for me and get me the owner's information."

"Sure, give me the number, and I'll look it up right away."

After giving Peregrine the license plate number, Sebastian started his engine and drove off.

Peregrine noted the license plate, kissed Sofia on the cheek, "I'm taking you to school."

Sofia clung to Peregrine's arm, a bit scared, "Daddy, I won't see Mommy, right? I don't want to see her."

Peregrine lovingly held Sofia, her pink backpack hanging from his arm, "No, she left and went far away. She won't come back."

Sofia relaxed, resting her head on his shoulder, "Daddy, I want to stay with you forever. I don't want to live with Mommy."

"Okay, I promise. No one will take you away from me. We'll always be together."

"Daddy, you can't lie to me!"

"Alright, I won't lie to you!"

Thinking about the court application, Peregrine hoped to win Sofia's custody and bring her back to him.

After dropping Sofia off, Peregrine returned to the Mitchell Group.

Parking his Buick, Peregrine saw Brandon's car pull up. Out of courtesy, he nodded in greeting.

As he nodded, Brandon got out of his car and walked to the passenger side. The door opened, and Bianca stepped out.

Peregrine was momentarily stunned but quickly understood, pretending not to know, "Ms. Gomez, Mr. Hernandez, good morning."

Bianca, not noticing Peregrine earlier, was surprised to hear his voice.

She quickly composed herself and smiled, "Good morning, Peregrine."

Brandon suddenly grabbed Bianca's hand, laughing loudly, "What a coincidence!"

Peregrine smiled, "Quite a coincidence. Mr. Hernandez and Ms. Gomez, are you two dating?"

"Got it right!" Brandon openly admitted.

Bianca's face turned pale, and she forcefully shook off his hand, walking several steps ahead in her high heels, "We're late. What are you waiting for?"

"Coming!" Brandon chased after her, leaving Peregrine shaking his head in resignation.

Back in his office, Peregrine entered a system, input the license plate number, and quickly cracked a code to find the owner's information.

To his surprise, the car belonged to Dione!

Sebastian must have noticed something. Could there be friction between Sebastian and Miguel in Aqua Vista City?

Not wanting to speculate further, Peregrine called Sebastian.

Sebastian was about to enter the meeting room. Seeing Peregrine's number, he stepped out onto the balcony. "Did you find out?"

Peregrine, suppressing his surprise, "Yes, but... the car belongs to Dione."

"Dione?" Sebastian pondered. The name was unfamiliar.

Peregrine clenched his fist. "The ID shows Dione. She's my ex-wife and is currently with Marc's father, Miguel. Did you discover something, Mr. Kingsley?"

So, she was Miguel's woman.

Sebastian coldly chuckled, "I heard you're fighting for your daughter's custody? Has the court date been set?"

Peregrine, grateful, "Not yet, waiting for news. It should be soon."

Sebastian, confident, "Don't worry. I'll help you with the custody issue."

"Really? Dr. Mitchell already hired a professional team, but since custody was initially given to my ex-wife, it's not easy."

Sebastian checked his watch; the meeting was about to start. "Don't you trust me? If I say I'll help, you'll get what you want."
