Chapter 277 Private Yacht, Candlelight Dinner

Dario dragged himself back to the CEO's office, feeling like he'd just lost his best friend or something.

'Only an hour left before the meeting. Where the heck is Sebastian?' Dario wondered.

"Mr. Kingsley took off in his car without saying a word," Whitney said, looking a bit worried.

Dario knew Sebastian had headed back to Bayside Villas, but the place was empty now.

Dario suddenly chuckled.

Whitney's eyebrow shot up. "Mr. Klein, you good?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'll let you get on; I'm heading to the marketing department," Dario replied.

"You're not gonna look for Mr. Kingsley?" Whitney asked, sounding a bit panicked.

"Sebastian will come back. If I go after him now, I'll be out of a job."

'What the heck does that mean?' Whitney thought.

Dario had seen all the wild stuff Sebastian had pulled since he got tight with Brooklyn. He knew exactly where Sebastian had gone today. 'Ditching work to hang out—Sebastian's finally acting like a guy in love.'

Seaside Villa.

When Brooklyn woke up, it was already dusk, and the moon was hanging low. Weirdly enough, she usually had trouble sleeping alone, but with Sebastian, she slept like a baby.

She opened her eyes and suddenly got all alert. "Where am I?!"

"Where is this place?!"

"I thought you'd sleep till tomorrow morning. Almost canceled tonight's plans," a deep, smooth voice came from the bedroom sofa, making the air feel thick.

Brooklyn frowned, "Sebastian, what are you up to?"

This was a coastal city, like two hundred miles from Aucester. He drove all the way to the seaside. She thought he was nuts.

Sebastian put down the documents he was working on. While she was out cold, he was wrestling with a bunch of messy financial data. Now that she was awake, his frustration just melted away.

He almost laughed at how easily his mood changed, but he kinda liked it.

"Go freshen up. I'll take you out in a bit."

Brooklyn threw off the blanket. Outside the tall floor-to-ceiling windows, the sea was bathed in golden light, shimmering with a beautiful rose-gold hue. The waves sparkled, creating a stunning view.

The sea breeze gently blew the light curtains, making the whole scene feel like a dream. This place was breath-taking.

After washing up, she slipped into a crystal purple chiffon dress he had ready for her, looking like a startled gazelle.

Sebastian was taken aback by Brooklyn's beauty, almost losing his cool right there.

His big hand eagerly grabbed her small one, and he couldn't help but praise her, "You look amazing. This dress was made for you."

His eyebrows lifted, and he was in a fantastic mood.

"Thanks, Sebastian. You sure know how to pick out clothes for women," she said.

"Mrs. Kingsley, that sounds like a backhanded compliment," he pouted.

"Mr. Kingsley, take it however you want," she replied with a cute smile, her eyes twinkling.

Hand in hand, they strolled to the seaside, where a private yacht was docked among the sparkling waves. The yacht was a massive 131 feet long with a sleek white hull. Apparently, it cost a fortune, and the inside was even more extravagant!

The entire cabin was filled with roses!

"Please, step aboard," Sebastian said gently, bending down with a graceful smile, his long fingers making an elegant gesture.

She stepped onto the yacht, the air thick with the scent of roses, and asked, "Is today some special day? Sebastian, this seems like overkill."

Sebastian boarded the yacht, his white suit making him look tall and sharp. He walked over to her and said, "Who says I need a special day to have dinner with my wife? Just enjoy the sea view and don't worry about anything else."

Brooklyn frowned and said, "Sebastian, you don't have to do all this. I know you want to make up for the past three years, but too much of a good thing can be bad. Plus, we just had lunch together."

Sebastian silenced her with a kiss before saying, "Seems like the best thing to keep you quiet is food. Otherwise, you always leave me speechless."

Brooklyn blinked twice, staring at Sebastian's serious face.

'Is he for real? Okay, I admit I like to mess with him, but why? The more I tease him, the happier I feel,' she thought.

Seeing her eyes sparkle, he laughed, "Promise not to provoke me again, and I'll let go."

He coaxed her like a child.

Brooklyn decided to play along for now and then strike back later. She blinked her watery eyes in agreement.

He let go of her lips and placed her in a Baroque-style single chair. In her elegant dress, she was all his tonight.

A long dining table was surrounded by roses, with a tall candelabrum in the center, holding dozens of lit candles.

They sat at opposite ends, the yacht's panoramic windows offering a lively and luxurious view inside and out.

Sebastian picked up the wine glass in front of him and raised it towards Brooklyn, "To my wife, Ms. Kingsley."

His voice was like the wine in the glass, smooth and lingering in the candlelight, making her feel irresistibly drawn in.

Brooklyn's arm felt too heavy to lift the wine glass. If she weren't sick, tonight would be perfect.

Her heart ached too much, and she smiled through her tears, looking at him from afar, "Sebastian, you're a businessman. Businessmen don't make losing deals. Being with me, you'll lose everything. So don't do it."

Dear CEO, Please Be Gentle!
