Chapter 370 Leaving Tonight's Banquet on a Stretcher

Scarlett tilted her chin up to look at Quinn. Today, he was all dressed up in a suit, polished shoes, and a metal watch on his wrist. He looked like a young professional.

"You look sharp and full of energy, but it seems you're not too bright. I warned you, and you forgot so quickly?"

Her voice sounded just like Brooklyn's! Every time Quinn heard it, he got flustered. He was getting more and more interested in her.

He took a step closer to Scarlett, his long arm reaching over her head to press against the wall behind her, half-encircling her with his chest. He looked down at her cold, proud face. "I told you I have my eyes on you. Did you forget that too?"

Scarlett held her wine glass between them, keeping a safe distance. "Quinn, maybe no one has told you that some people are not to be messed with."

Quinn smiled, showing off his neat teeth. His fluffy bangs slid down, covering his eyebrows, but his eyes found Scarlett's with laser precision, locking onto her autumn-hued gaze. "And no one has told you that when some people want something, they'll do whatever it takes to get it. If a direct approach fails, they'll circumnavigate their obstacles. When overt methods crumble, they'll slink into the shadows, plotting unseen. And if every avenue is blocked..."

He suddenly leaned down, his thin lips close to her ear, warm breath teasing her hair. "They might even steal or rob."

Scarlett turned her shoulder to avoid his breath. "Looks like I can't escape?"

"We're so destined to meet, why hide? Isn't it better to accept me openly?" Quinn still had a slight smile. From the first moment he saw her, he was determined to have her! No, to win her over!

Were all the Kingsley family members this shameless? Scarlett rolled her eyes real quick. "I'm engaged. I have a fiancé." She raised her hand, showing off the diamond ring on her middle finger.

Quinn smacked his lips. "Engaged?"

As he spoke, he reached out and the ring disappeared from her hand! When she looked up again, the sparkling diamond ring was already in Quinn's hand!

"Miss, using the excuse of being engaged is overdone. Many people have used it before. But the ring is nice, I'll keep it for you!"

Quinn believed it, but so what if she was engaged? He had missed out on Brooklyn before, constrained by his status and many restrictions, unable to show his infatuation for her. But now, God had given him a chance to meet a woman with a similar aura to Brooklyn. He wouldn't miss it again!

"Stop being unreasonable! Give me the ring before I get angry." Scarlett said.

"I can give it to you, but what will you trade for it?" Quinn played with the small, exquisite, and valuable diamond ring in his hand, smiling but clearly not joking as he questioned Scarlett. His eyes held a hint of depth, lacking worldly sophistication, and had a rare sincerity for a businessman.

It was hard for Scarlett to pinpoint exactly where her feelings stemmed from, but one thing was clear: Quinn didn't leave her with a particularly bad impression. If anything, it was markedly better than the one Sebastian had managed to etch into her mind.

Scarlett, on the other hand, was not worried. She crossed her arms and looked up slightly. "It seems you like this ring. OK, if you like it, you can take it."

Quinn frowned, holding the ring and examining it repeatedly. "The ring is well-made, and I do like it, but I like the owner of the ring even more. I wonder if I can take her too?"

What a smooth talker.

Scarlett shrugged. "The owner of the ring is my fiancé. If you like, you can take him too."

Quinn was in a great mood, looking down at Scarlett, trying to read something from her face. But she was too calm, with no visible emotions. Her eyes were steady, and only her lightly pink lips curved up in an indifferent, almost disdainful arc.

"I'm serious. I fell in love with you at first sight. I want to pursue you," Quinn declared his intentions bluntly.

Sebastian glanced back through the crowd and happened to see Quinn and Scarlett in an intimate posture. Scarlett, in her black dress, looked indifferent and elegant, standing out in the banquet with her unique charm.

What was Quinn doing?

"Mr. Kingsley, I hope you will consider my proposal," a business manager raised his glass in invitation.

Sebastian responded indifferently, "MBK Group has no such plans at the moment."

He directly rejected the offer.

His gaze unintentionally drifted to the black figure, and then he took a sip of red wine.

Scarlett chuckled. "I'm really sorry, sir. First, I don't like younger men. Second, I don't like playboys. Third, I have a fiancé. I'll give you three seconds to keep ten feet away from me, or I'll make sure you leave this banquet on a stretcher."
