Chapter 232 To Spoil Her

Popcorn was all over the floor, its sweet smell in the air. However, Brooklyn's hair in Sebastian's arms smelled even better.

He held her close, quietly calming her down. On the other hand, she snuggled up to him without seeing his playful grin.

He couldn't see her shock turning into contentment as she leaned on him.

That was his plan. This little moment satisfied both of their wishes.

When the movie ended, it was past 8 p.m. They walked out of hand in hand, greeted by the mall's bright lights. Brooklyn felt a deep sense of relief.

He noticed her smile and asked softly, "What's got you smiling?"

She smiled brightly as she pointed to a nearby restaurant, "I'm hungry. Let's eat."

"Sure!"

The mall was packed with shoppers, diners, moviegoers, and people waiting for the bus. Worried about getting separated, he held her hand tightly.

Feeling his grip, she relaxed, trusting him completely.

They reached a Western restaurant, bustling with customers. She frowned when seeing the crowd. "Should we try somewhere else?"

He frowned, as well; not because she might go hungry, but because she thought they had to give up their seats.

"Follow me."

Inside, he went to the front desk, and the manager quickly approached.

She couldn't hear their conversation, but the manager smiled and said, "Mr. and Mrs. Kingsley, please come in."

Brooklyn bit her lip, realizing she was with Sebastian. 'When does Sebastian ever not have a seat?'

She felt a bit foolish.

Upstairs, she saw the once-crowded dining area now empty.

She shivered a bit. 'Just how powerful is he?'

He picked a table by the window, pulling out a chair for her. "It's my first time here. Order whatever you like, and recommend something for me too."

Sitting across from her, his presence turned the ordinary restaurant special; changing the whole vibe, and Brooklyn found herself more drawn to him.

She really loved him.

"These dishes look similar, right? Let's pick together," Brooklyn said, opening the menu.

He surprisingly got up, leaning over her shoulder to view the menu.

With one hand on the table and another on her chair, he surrounded her with his presence overwhelming her senses.

"Do you like this one?" he asked, his voice right by her ear.

Brooklyn struggled to breathe. "Yeah, I like it. Let's get this one, and this one, too."

"Great," he said, his words dripping with charm.

After the meal, her palms were sweaty.

Sebastian teased, "Mrs. Kingsley, you seem nervous. Why's that?"

'How could I not be with you acting like this?' Brooklyn thought.

"I'm not nervous, just hungry."

his words contradicted her thoughts.

When the food arrived, she started eating quickly, turning the elegant restaurant into a casual eatery. Sebastian, eating with utensils, looked up and laughed, "Take your time; no one's going to take it from you. If you want more, you can have some of mine."

She looked up, their eyes meeting. She wondered if she had overdone it.

To her surprise, his smile deepened. He reached over, gently wiping the food from the corner of her mouth. "You're an adult; how can you still get food all over your face?"

Brooklyn stared at him, her mouth full of food. Her hand slipped, the fork clattering onto the plate.

His affectionate gesture startled her.

"In the future, you'll get used to these things," he said soothingly. "Don't eat so much at once, or you won't be able to argue with me even if you want to."
