Chapter 292 Sebastian is Confined in the Hospital Room
Brian yanked Sebastian into the elevator like he owned the place, heading straight to Megan's floor. Before the doors even opened, Sebastian shot back, "Dad, I ain't marrying Megan, even if you drag me to the alter."
Brian just smirked, "We'll see about that."
Right before they barged into Megan's hospital room, Brian's four goons pinned Sebastian's arms and hauled him in.
It was no surprise Sebastian was angry..
Once inside, there was the usual round of fake pleasantries, with the old folks acting all chummy.
Megan gazed at Sebastian with those puppy-dog eyes, all sweet and caring. "Sebastian, you're here. I've been waiting for you."
Sebastian, barely holding back his rage, kept a stony face and muttered, "Hmm."
Noticing the lilies in Dario's hands, Jennifer piped up, "Dario, give the flowers to Megan."
Dario, catching Sebastian's icy glare, walked over and handed the flowers to Megan. She hugged them like they were gold. "Thanks, Sebastian. I love them."
Dario's eye twitched, and Sebastian stayed stone-faced.
As for the camellia, Brian figured it was for Brooklyn. While keeping a grip on Sebastian, he personally chucked the blooming camellias into the trash!
After tossing the flower, Brian looked at Sebastian and sneered, "Nice move! The price of camellias has doubled since the news hit."
The camellia Sebastian had pinned in Brooklyn's hair had become the latest craze among Aucester's rich girls, making its price skyrocket overnight.
But Sebastian couldn't care less about that.
Standing in the hospital room, Sebastian sounded as cold as ice, "I gotta get back to the company. You'll be fine here."
With that, he turned to leave, and Dario was right behind him, ready to bolt, but Brian, lounging on the counch, barked with authority, "The company's stuff will be handled by someone else. You stay here and take care of Megan."
Sebastian clenched his fists, "No one else can handle the project but me."
"If no one can handle it, then let it be. Stay!" Brian said, not budging an inch.
Karen chuckled, "Let's not keep the young folks from their time together. Jennifer, Brian, let's go. I'm sure Sebastian will take good care of Megan."
With that, Karen left the room with Jennifer.
Dario stood behind Sebastian, racking his brain for a way out. But Brian ordered when he stopped on the doorway, "Dario, leave us alone."
Sebastian sneered, "Brian, what game are you playing?"
"You stay here and take care of Megan. Need me to assign a babysitter for you? Dario, out!" Brian barked.
Dario hesitated but had no choice. As soon as he stepped out, Brian nodded to a bodyguard in black, who then pulled out a lock and secured the hospital room door!
Dario was floored, "Mr. Brian Kingsley, isn't this a bit much? Mr. Sebastian Kingsley has a ton of stuff to handle. This is..."
"This ain't your problem anymore. You're off duty!"
With that, a black-clad guy shoved Dario three feet away from the door. Dario couldn't believe it. 'What kind of dad does this to his son?' he thought.
After some internal grumbling, Dario made up his mind to find a way to get Sebastian out.
Brian told the four bodyguards, "Guard this place for twenty hours. No one but doctors and nurses gets in. If Sebastian escapes, it's on you!"
Karen, arm-in-arm with Jennifer, smiled, "Brian's methods always work."
The parents, along with their entourage, strutted down the corridor, leaving Dario standing there alone. As he took a step forward, the black-clad men moved closer, forcing him back.
Inside the hospital room, the tension was thick.
Sebastian's icy demeanor was like shards of glass, and his deep, unreadable eyes glared at Megan as if he wanted to tear her apart. "Happy now?" he spat.
His cold sarcasm didn't even scratch the surface of his anger.
Megan, looking all pitiful and on the verge of tears, tried to play the sympathy card. "Sebastian, you don't think I asked Brian to do this, do you? I had no idea he'd go this far. Please, don't be mad. How about I call him and talk to him?"
'Call? My phone's been confiscated! And the hospital room phone's clearly disabled too,' he thought.
Sebastian plopped down on the sofa, the only electronic device on him being his watch. It was already past seven in the evening. He wondered if Brooklyn had woken up.
From the hospital, he had rushed back to the company only to face a crisis, which kept him busy all day, leaving him no time or chance to contact Brooklyn.
He had planned to visit her after wrapping up his work.
"Sebastian, don't be mad. I'll find a way to get Brian to let you out," Megan said, all considerate and generous, but he was done with it and didn't believe a word.
Sebastian's eyes were sharp as knives as he glanced at Megan. She did look worn out, having been through much, but Sebastian couldn't bring himself to feel sorry for her.
