Chapter 131 Unattractive Sleeping Posture

"I'm fine sleeping here, Mr. Kingsley. It's late; let's turn off the lights and go to sleep." She clutched the blanket with her uninjured hand. Since it only covered her upper body, her legs were exposed from the knees down, resting diagonally on the mattress. Her fair calves and feet stood out even more against the dark bedding.

Sebastian impatiently ordered for the second time, "Come here. I'm not negotiating with you."

Brooklyn ignored him. "Mr. Kingsley, I'm injured right now and can't help you. If you have physical needs, handle them yourself."

Stupid woman! How could she be thinking about that?

Sebastian leaned against the headboard, full of hostility. "Now is the time for you to fulfill your end of the bargain. If you want the Mitchell Group to keep operating, you know what you need to do."

Was this really what he wanted her to do? Sebastian's mind was too deep!

Brooklyn gritted her teeth and moved closer to him. "Is this good enough?"

He gauged the distance and said, "What do you think?"

Brooklyn moved even closer. "Is this good enough now?"

His patience was wearing thin. Unable to tolerate Brooklyn provoking him any longer, he coldly glanced at her injured hand. "I think you want to get hurt even more."

Brooklyn was furious. She quickly threw off the blanket and sat up. Her feet sank into the elastic mattress, creating two indentations. Her long legs stood right in front of him, and she looked at him impatiently.

She looked like she wanted to punch someone.

Sebastian's eyes darkened as he looked up her legs. The wound on her knee had finally healed, leaving only faint brown scars.

She was angry again, but he patiently waited for her next move.

Just as Sebastian was preparing to communicate with her in her anger, Brooklyn suddenly suppressed her anger, walked over to him, and sat down beside him. "You asked me to come over, don't regret it."

Sebastian's eyes narrowed. "Are you threatening me? Very well."

Fortunately, her injured arm was not on his side, giving her a slight sense of security. She lay down flat, closed her eyes, and with a spirit of resignation, said, "Whatever you want to do, do it quickly so we can sleep."

This time, Sebastian was really angry! He grabbed her arm that was close to him, his eyes filled with rage. "Do you want to have sex with me that badly?"

"I don't!" she refuted.

Clearly, he was the one who wanted to have sex with her!

Sebastian replied, "If you don't, then shut up!"

What? No way! Was he really not going to have sex with her tonight?

Before she could come to a conclusion, he turned off the light.

In the darkness, Brooklyn could smell the enticing scent of tequila from Sebastian, she could tell that he was aroused.

He remained silent, and so did she. They lay close together, and Brooklyn tried hard to keep her breathing steady, clutching her nightgown to calm herself.

Soon, Sebastian's steady and strong breathing indicated that he had fallen asleep.

In the soft moonlight, she gently turned her head to look at him, a smile unconsciously forming on her lips.

She didn't know Sebastian's true intentions for helping her, but she enjoyed this moment of tranquility. She even wished that time could stop right here.

Soon, lulled by his pleasant scent, Brooklyn fell asleep.

In the middle of the night, Sebastian woke up, feeling something pressing on him.

He frowned tightly. He thought inwardly, 'This stupid woman, Brooklyn, what kind of sleeping posture is this?'

The usually cold and confident businesswoman had such an unattractive sleeping posture in bed.

Sebastian moved her legs off him and pulled her up so her head was back on the pillow, carefully placing her injured arm in a comfortable position. Finally, she returned to her previous sleeping posture.

But within half an hour, she climbed onto him again like an octopus!

Sebastian checked the time; it was 3 AM. Was she trying to drive him crazy?

After adjusting her again, he suddenly realized that Brooklyn was now nestled in his arms. Her soft hair wrapped around his arm, and her pink face was close to his chest, emitting a fragrant scent of gardenias.

Inhaling deeply, he felt a sense of peace.

Holding her, he fell into a deep sleep. Perhaps he didn't even realize that tonight was the happiest he had slept in three years.

"Brooklyn, what am I going to do with you? Can you tell me?" He wrapped his arm around her slender waist, closed his eyes, and whispered softly.

In his arms, Brooklyn mumbled something, moved her head to a more comfortable spot on his body, and then quieted down.

Sebastian smiled. For the first time in three years, it was a genuine, relaxed smile.
