Chapter 366 Being His Driver
Hearing her warning, Sebastian thought Scarlett was so ungrateful. He was beginning to doubt himself, and even doubt that Scarlett might have put some kind of drug in the food.
Did he actually remind her to change her dress? Scarlett wasn't worth a single word from him! Damn it!
It was her deceptive voice that always made him feel like she had some mysterious connection with Brooklyn. Now it seemed he was wrong.
Sebastian stormed out of the kitchen, not stopping until he was more than forty feet away. He went straight to the living room, sat on the sofa farthest from the kitchen, and shook the newspaper violently several times, almost tearing it apart.
And he still couldn't understand why he decided to take Scarlett to the party. His chances of a heart attack were low, and he didn't need to take the Rivera family's party seriously.
Sebastian opened the newspaper, his mind in turmoil as he read a page, but he didn't remember a single word. Instead, the faint sounds coming from the kitchen drifted into his ears without missing a beat.
After dinner, Scarlett tidied up and went upstairs. She never cooked and washed dishes before, and now she had become a kitchen maid? Damn Sebastian! She couldn't bear it!
After much thought, Scarlett was unwilling to let it go and had to find Sebastian to get an explanation. Determined, she pushed open the door and walked to Sebastian's bedroom, knocking on the door, but there was no response.
'Asleep? But it is only nine o'clock. Does he deliberately not open the door?' Scarlett turned the doorknob, and the door opened just like that, to her surprise. Sebastian didn't lock his door while sleeping?
Entering Sebastian's bedroom, Scarlett looked around but didn't see him. The room was clean and simple, with a strong masculine scent filling the air.
Where was Sebastian?
Scarlett walked halfway around the room, and noticed a painting hanging above his bed, a classic work by an abstract master, worth no less than twenty million dollars. She was so engrossed in looking at it that she didn't notice the bathroom door being opened again, this time by Sebastian.
"What are you doing here?" The voice was clearly questioning, and Sebastian was obviously displeased. Scarlett had committed a major taboo by barging into his bedroom.
She turned around hastily and saw Sebastian just coming out of the bathroom. A loosely wrapped towel hung around his waist, covering his lower body, while the rest of him was exposed under the bright crystal chandelier. His cold, hard facial features exuded an imposing aura, especially his eyes, which were chilling.
Scarlett fisted her palm as she struggled to catch her breath. "I... "
Sebastian took a step toward Scarlett, shuffling across the room, "What? Are you a theft?"
Scarlett's fingers clenched tighter, and she averted her eyes from Sebastian's tantalizingly sexy body. "I came to talk to you."
Sebastian nodded and his voice was even more seductive when heard up close in such an atmosphere. "About what?"
Scarlett closed her eyes. Was this really the time to talk?
"Let's talk tomorrow. I'll leave now." Scarlett turned her head, trying to walk past Sebastian's imposing presence, but as she lifted her foot, her slipper caught on the base of a floor lamp, causing her to fall!
In a panic, Scarlett instinctively grabbed for something to maintain her balance, her slender fingers clutching Sebastian's hand hanging by his side.
Sebastian suddenly felt the force, and he flipped his wrist and pulled hard, steadying Scarlett, who was about to fall. Unfortunately, he used too much force, and Scarlett and he fell directly onto the bed!
Gritting her teeth, Scarlett's heart skipped a beat as she looked up to see Sebastian's deep, cold eyes staring at her, his icy pupils reflecting her shocked face.
Immediately, Sebastian propped himself up on the bed and stood up, his face tight with anger. "Get out!"
Scarlett's back was burning with pain as she struggled to get up, her face icy as she gritted her teeth. "Lunatic!"
Sebastian pointed to the door with his long finger. "Get the fuck out!"
What was he so mad about? Scarlett stormed out as she thought. She was the one who had been pressed onto the bed!
The next day, at seven in the evening.
After a day of not speaking and successfully avoiding all chances of meeting, the two finally communicated again after nearly twenty hours.
Scarlett received a call from Sebastian. "Ms. Taylor, if I remember correctly, you should be dressed and ready at Maple Bridge Road by now."
Scarlett sat in a black Mercedes, her hand on the steering wheel, at the intersection of Maple Bridge Road and Stardust Road. "Sir, I have a sense of time. You don't need to worry."
"Very well, come to Jade Avenue." Sebastian smiled.
Scarlett gritted her teeth, cursing the man who changed the meeting location in the last minute. He was definitely trying to trick her!
Scarlett arrived at Jade Avenue, and before she could get out of the car, she saw a black Rolls-Royce parked at the corner, its elegant matte black body like a poised puma ready to pounce.
She got out of the car, wearing a white mid-length thin coat over her dress, perfectly covering it. She stood in front of the car. "What do you want?"
"Owen, drive her car back," Sebastian said.
"Yes," Owen replied.
Scarlett brushed her hair behind her ear. "If your driver takes my car, who will drive yours?"
Sebastian was sitting in the back seat, clearly not planning to drive himself.
He leaned lazily against the seat, his hands folded over his abdomen. "Ms. Taylor, your driving skills are impressive. Today, you have the chance to show off."
