Chapter 259 Mrs. Kingsley

'Where to? Shouldn't you let me get in the car first?

'Moreover, she is sitting in the driver's seat, seemingly with no intention of getting out.' Sebastian thought before he said, "Mrs. Kingsley, are you planning to be the driver today?"

Brooklyn's eyebrows furrowed, and she asked, "You want to ride in the same car as me?"

Sebastian almost laughed at her question. His earlier anger suddenly dissipated, and he thought, 'Is she really that clueless, or is she deliberately teasing me?'

"My car was taken, so I'll be riding with you." Sebastian had been talking for a while but still hadn't gotten in the car.

Indeed, ever since he had given her the liberty to act freely, he could no longer fully control the situation.

Brooklyn was genuinely annoyed now, looking at him calmly.

She thought, 'I don't even know what he has just done with Megan, and now he wants to come to my side. I don't even know if he still has Megan's scent on him.'

"Sorry, Sebastian, my car is not convenient. You should find another one." she said angrily.

Sebastian's sharp eyebrows furrowed, and he thought, 'She is getting better at playing hard to get lately.'

He said, "Don't be difficult. We have a lot to do before the party starts. We'll take your car there and mine back, okay?"

Brooklyn's stubbornness instantly broke. His almost indulgent "Don't be difficult" easily made her defenses crumble.

Once in the car, Sebastian willingly sat in the passenger seat. He even seemed in a good mood, looking at her. "My safety is in your hands now."

He sat close, his cold, commanding presence almost palpable, extinguishing any remaining rationality in Brooklyn. She pouted slightly, "I'm afraid my driving skills aren't the best."

Sebastian chuckled, "No worries. If we crash, at least we'll go out together."

For some reason, the mention of "going out together" seemed to jolt Brooklyn like an electric shock, causing her to stiffen up.

The drive was smooth, neither too fast nor too slow, and they soon arrived at Kerry's exclusive studio.

As they entered, they were greeted by two rows of designers bowing in unison. Brooklyn raised an eyebrow, thinking, 'Are they stylists or just overly enthusiastic greeters?'

Kerry finally laid eyes on Brooklyn in the flesh. From the moment she walked in, Kerry's gaze never left Brooklyn's unblemished beauty.

"Mrs. Kingsley, your skin is exceptional," Kerry said with genuine admiration. "Out of everyone I've seen, you have the most beautiful skin."

Sebastian, while maintaining a neutral expression, felt a surge of satisfaction. Brooklyn's skin was indeed flawless—smooth, delicate.

It had been a while since he'd felt its softness.

Brooklyn, far from being shy, thanked Kerry with a graceful nod. "Thank you."

Kerry raised her meticulously groomed eyebrows. "Alright, let's get started."

Attending the Turner family's event was no small matter; tonight's guest list was bound to include the crème de la crème of the business world. A misstep in attire could be a huge embarrassment.

An hour later, Sebastian's look was complete.

Kerry gasped, covering her mouth in astonishment. "Oh my goodness, Sebastian, I can't believe you can look even better than before!"

In front of a full-length mirror, Sebastian was dressed in a deep navy blue Armani suit. The double-breasted summer suit, with its two metal buttons on the left side, accentuated his tall, commanding presence. He wore a crisp white shirt and a matching tie.

His thick hair was styled back with wax, revealing a prominent forehead. His chiseled features radiated an air of natural nobility and sophistication.

Sebastian had his hand casually stuffed in his pocket, and the slight flare of his suit jacket's vent only added to his commanding presence.

Brooklyn's preparation took a bit longer due to the complexity of her look, and she finally emerged from the dressing room a few minutes behind schedule.

Sebastian's gaze shifted from the mirror back to Brooklyn. Her hair was elegantly pinned up with just a few simple hairpins, yet it radiated an air of refined sophistication that took his breath away.

Brooklyn's slender frame was enveloped in a fitted red dress. The skirt, layered with ruffled edges above her knees, showcased her delicate calves. Her high heels sparkled with diamond-like glimmers.

With just a hint of makeup, Brooklyn transformed into a vision of breathtaking beauty.

Kerry gasped, covering her mouth in awe. "Sebastian, could you do me a favor? Please, endorse my product, or at least let me take some pictures!"

Sebastian barely acknowledged Kerry's plea. He strode confidently over to Brooklyn. He rarely smiled, but when he did, it had the power to mesmerize.

"You look stunning," he complimented, his tone smooth and practiced.

Brooklyn, already captivated by him, could only respond, "You…"

"I know, I look pretty great today," Sebastian interrupted with a playful smirk.

Brooklyn quipped back, "It's all about the outfit!"

Sebastian shook his head. "No, it's because you're standing next to me. Just having you by my side adds enough shine to make me stand out."

That was high praise, indeed.

He bent his arm, allowing her to take it as they gracefully walked out of the studio. Outside, a sleek black limousine awaited them.

The extravagant car showcased its owner's unrivaled dominance.

Sebastian smiled and said, "You gave me a lift here, and now it's my turn to drive you home. Mrs. Kingsley, please, get in."

His unmatched elegance and the simple gesture of holding the door for her made her surrender completely.

She thought, 'I always seem to lose to him without resistance; how could I ever win?'

Dario and Sebastian exchanged a silent look. The preparations were all set; they were just waiting for the night's grand performance.

Brooklyn settled into the plush seat next to him, the spacious interior of the car making their proximity feel distant. She occupied only a small corner of the seat.

Sebastian cleared his throat and smoothly moved closer to her, reaching out to adjust a stray strand of her hair. "A bit of hair fell out."

Brooklyn remained silent.

Sitting close to him, she was enveloped by his strong, reassuring presence, which completely surrounded her.

His hand gently slid down, taking hers from where it rested on the leather seat. Her fingers were cool.

"Thank you for coming with me, Mrs. Kingsley," he said softly.

Dear CEO, Please Be Gentle!
