Chapter 372 Sebastian's Private Doctor
Sebastian's words left everyone around him, including Quinn and James, totally floored! What the heck did Sebastian mean by that?
Scarlett frowned too, "Sebastian, what are you trying to pull?"
Quinn was in shock, "Are you serious?"
James narrowed his eyes and grabbed Sebastian's arm, "Sebastian, if she's yours, then what about Megan?"
Sebastian shot him an annoyed look and yanked his arm away, "Mr. Rivera, why are you so interested in my personal life?"
Sebastian walked over to Scarlett and said, "Come with me."
Scarlett was momentarily stunned. She lowered her voice and gritted her teeth, "Mr. Sebastian Kingsley, you're breaking our rules."
Sebastian's face stayed blank, his eyes cold, "I don't remember any rules between us. I only know that only I can control you."
Sebastian didn't care about Scarlett's feelings. Since he was in a bad mood, the rules had to change.
Scarlett gritted her teeth, seeing the curious looks from the guests around them, she almost wanted to kick this jerk Sebastian out right then and there!
Damn it! Now she was really in the spotlight.
The guests stared, dumbfounded, at Sebastian and the others, eager to catch the gossip. This news was definitely going to be the talk of the town for a while. Sebastian personally protecting Scarlett meant she was definitely someone special.
What puzzled everyone was, who exactly was Scarlett, who had been approached by Quinn, James, and Sebastian one after another? What was her background?
They knew nothing about her. Even if they went through the list of wealthy young ladies in Aucester, they probably wouldn't find anyone with such an honor.
For a moment, the brightly lit hall was buzzing with whispers, everyone chatting in low voices, the sound never stopping.
Seeing this, James didn't want to ruin his reputation at his own banquet, so he smoothed things over with a smile and loudly invited the guests to take their seats, "Everyone, just a small misunderstanding, don't let it bother you. Please, have a seat."
The guests seated themselves, bringing back the prior calm.
Piper smiled and said, "Everyone is here today to celebrate James officially taking over Infinite International Group. Let's all enjoy ourselves and drink to our hearts' content!"
With Piper's words, the guests began to praise her.
"Ms. Rivera, although she's been abroad for many years and has been working in a hospital since returning, she handles business etiquette like a pro!" a man said.
"If Ms. Rivera were willing to leave the hospital and return to Infinite International Group, she and her brother would surely make the company even better!" another lady chimed in.
Hearing the guests' praises, Scarlett couldn't help but take another look at Piper. She was actually a doctor? But what kind of doctor was she?
James extended his hand, inviting Sebastian and Scarlett to take their seats.
As the honored guest, Sebastian naturally took the central seat. His tall figure in a silver-gray suit made him look as imposing as a mountain. Scarlett followed behind him, keeping a step's distance, with Quinn by her side.
Quinn leaned in and whispered, "Don't mess with me. Last time I asked if you knew my brother, you said you didn't. Were you playing me?"
Last time she really didn't know they were brothers, but she didn't feel like explaining, so she simply said, "So what if I was?"
Quinn was both annoyed and frustrated, clenching his fists under his suit sleeves, "So, are you my brother's lover?"
Scarlett suddenly looked up at Quinn, her eyes narrowing with anger, "Mr. Quinn Kingsley, are you always this childish?"
What did that mean? Quinn couldn't figure it out.
"Make it clear, are you his lover or not?" Quinn asked her in a low voice.
Scarlett directly denied, "No!"
Quinn's heart suddenly lifted with excitement! Great, as long as she wasn't Sebastian's lover, no matter what her identity was, he would definitely pursue her!
Quinn touched the ring in his pocket through his suit, a playful smile on his lips. The assumption of Scarlett being his brother's lover really scared him just now.
At the large round table, Piper, James, Sebastian, Quinn, Simon Scott, and Samantha were sitting. The entire banquet was filled with the younger generation of Aucester's four major families, only missing Megan from the Turner family.
Piper, ever the master of social maneuvering, pretended not to recognize Scarlett, who stood poised behind Sebastian. Offering a saccharine smile, Piper remarked, "You look familiar. Have we met somewhere before?"
Scarlett replied frankly, "If Ms. Rivera is also a doctor, maybe."
Piper's posture stiffened as Scarlett’s voice delivered an unsettling jolt of recognition. The familiarity in her tone struck a nerve, echoing none other than the loathed Brooklyn.
Piper’s eyes darted towards Samantha, whose expression mirrored her own unease.
Swallowing hard, Piper tried not to show any panic, her hand on her dress silently clenching tighter, forcing a smile, "So you're also in the medical field?"
Could it be such a coincidence? With a voice so similar, could she also be a doctor? This was enough to make anyone anxious.
Scarlett noticed the change in Piper's expression. Strangely, everyone she had met recently had a similar reaction, as if she was someone they had known for a while.
She nodded, "Yes, I am a doctor."
Piper suddenly couldn't stay calm, tightly clasping her fingers, her eyes intentionally glancing towards Sebastian, "What kind of doctor are you?"
"Cardiac surgery," Scarlett replied.
This almost scared Piper's heart out. She forced a very strained smile, "I see, that's why you look familiar. You must be Ms. Taylor who attended the seminar at Aucester Hospital last time, right? I've heard your name and was fortunate enough to see a profile photo of you."
Piper stood up gracefully and extended her hand, "Hello, I'm Piper Rivera. Nice to meet you."
Scarlett didn't feel happy at all, and she didn't like shaking hands.
Scarlett frowned and extended her fingers briefly before pulling back, "Hello, Ms. Rivera. I'm Scarlett Taylor, Mr. Sebastian Kingsley's personal doctor."
Piper wondered, if she was just a doctor, why would he protect her?
